Combining a massive six heatpipe dual radiator design with an exquisite NF-P14/NF-P12 dual fan configuration, the NH-D14 is built for ultimate quiet cooling performance. Topped off with a tube of Noctua’s award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound as well as the new SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, the NH-D14 is an elite choice for the highest demands in premium quality quiet cooling.

  • newegg Six Heatpipe Dual Radiator Design Providing more surface area, better heat-distribution, and superior airflow efficiency than conventional tower style heatsinks, the NH-D14’s six heatpipe dual-radiator design was developed to provide the ultimate quiet cooling performance in dual-fan mode.
  • newegg Dual NF-P14/NF-P12 Fan Setup The NH-D14 sports a premium quality dual fan setup consisting of Noctua’s award-winning NF-P12 (120mm) and NF-P14 (140mm) fans, both of which feature Vortex-Control Notches, SCD technology, and SSO-Bearings in order to achieve the perfect balance of performance and quietness.

  • newegg Excellent Component Cooling Hanging out at the bottom of the fin stacks, the NF-P14 fan doesn’t only contribute to the NH-D14’s superb CPU cooling capabilities, but also provides a massive airflow over surrounding motherboard components and heatsinks, thus ensuring excellent component cooling performance.
  • newegg SecuFirm2 Multi-socket Mounting System Noctua’s enthusiast-grade SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting provides broad socket compatibility (LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA775, LGA1150, AM2, AM2+, and AM3), and meets the highest demands in safety, contact pressure and ease-of-use.
  • newegg NT-H1 Thermal Compound Noctua's much-acclaimed NT-H1 is a well proven pro-grade TIM solution that provides minimum thermal resistance, excellent ease-of-use, and outstanding reliability.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge but silent

Pros: This cooler is very silent, not too hard to install and comes with adequate instructions and mounting hardware.

Cons: Is kind of heavy and fan connectors are not pwm (3 pins). You can still get some pwm fans from Noctua if you wish.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from a 120 mm liquid cooler ans so far this one beats it by a margin of 10-15% in temps.

I did not get it from newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge!

Pros: i5-4960K ambient room temp 27C running 36C on idle. The cores all read around 28C. During stress hitting 65C. It is super quiet compared to other coolers I've used and definitely stock coolers.

Cons: Close to 3lb of weight. It is huge. It comes close to touching the side cover of my Antec 300 case. Requires you to attach it before setting your mobo in the case. Very difficult to attach some connectors to the board or finish screwing the board in once this is in your case.

Other Thoughts: I researched the size of this and my mobo/case compatibility before I bought it. When I received it I was still floored at how large this thing is. If you're looking to purchase this it is a great cooler but you must check your mobo and case for compatibility. It does cover your RAM slots. I'm not taking an egg off because it does a great job at cooling the CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, Silent and Quality CPU Cooler

Pros: - It was a breeze to install, Intel installation was easier than AMD's I must say.
- Keeps my 4690K overclocked to 4.6Ghz @ 1.265v cool under stress testing 75C~ (FPU Stress), 60-65C (normal stressing)
- Pretty darn silent, I leave my PC on all the time it's nice to have it quiet while I watch TV or sleep.
- Quality, you can feel it.

Cons: - Color scheme, although it doesn't bother me much. I think it looks rather premium.
- Somewhat expensive, but totally worth it

Other Thoughts: I mainly when for Noctua due to their silence reputation and I am not disappointed. I could have went for Thermalright or Phanteks for a better color scheme and similar performance but I figured that I'll give Noctua a try. My first cooler from them and I am very impressed. I even bought 2 Noctua NF-A14 FLX's because of this cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsBig & Mighty, 4 years going strong!

Pros: Large, lots of fins, dual fans, well-packaged and flawless operation.

I've had this mounted on my i7 2600k OC'd to 4.4ghz since day 1, which was 97 months and 9 days ago or 35,976 hours ago. It has performed just as quietly, efficiently and perfectly as it did from the first time I booted up. It keeps my chip at high 20's at idle, ~45-50 during gaming (GTA 5, WoW, Eve) and when editing videos (main use of pc) with Sony Vegas 11, it stays around 68-71.
With Prime95 running, a 10 hour over-night run peaks out at 81 with just the cooler running. If I turn on all my case fans (600t): 1x200mm front, 2xNoctua 120mm fans above and 1x120mm in rear, it'll peak at around 75.

A well made piece of gear that is a solid alternative to water cooling kits out there. All 3 of my work machines use this cooler. My most recent machine, a 4790k Devils Canyon at stock clock never breaks 50 when editing videos with Sony Vegas Studio 13. I put it in a Corsair 400R case and it fit with ease.

Cons: Large (measure case!), awful fan shroud color but hey, it's not a show piece.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing cooling capability

Pros: i7 4790K 100% Utilization with OCCT large data set using 8 threads, I barely see a 60C coming.

Cons: 3 pin fan headers, fan speed control not working with Gigabyte MBs, but we know it's Gigabyte's problem... Not a con for this cooler.

Other Thoughts: Abandon water cooling LOOOOL...

5 out of 5 eggsIt's big, but it works good

Pros: Keeps my CPU cool.

Fits in the case.

Really quiet.

Cons: It's big...really big.

Other Thoughts: Watch out for ram clearances...prolly want to avoid ram with big cooling fins.

5 out of 5 eggsI like it alot.

Pros: Easy to install, cools exceptionally well, even with ultra low noise fan adapters installed.

Cons: On my first attempt I installed one of the fans backwards so the 120 MM fan was blowing against the 140 MM fan and it still kept my CPU cooler than the 212 EVO I upgraded from. Once I got everything sorted out my temperatures have been phenomenal on my OC'd 4790K even during these early summer months.

5 out of 5 eggsWho needs water when you have Noctua

Pros: By far the best air cooler I have ever used. It has been used on 3 different FX processors, my 4350 idled at 9 degrees Celsius and under load (Prime95) barely surpassed 40. Currently installed with and FX8370 and idle temps are 17-19 Celsius while under a load maxed out at 49. I've seen way higher temps on water cooled systems. That begs the question, why water cool when you can Noctua cool?

Cons: I put the cool little case badge on my antec 300 case...now my Antec 1100 doesn't have one.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing...

Pros: -Really really low temps
-Customizable fan configuration
-Quiet
-High compatibility

Cons: -Very big, should be called "high-profile", limited number of cases can use this and ram must not be much taller than it's PCB
-Must remove to make upgrades and cleaning possible

Other Thoughts: Been using this for almost 5 years now on an i5-760, cooling a stable overclock of 4ghz (200mhz bclck, 1.28vcore/1.25vtt). Recently changed cases to a Rosewill Challenger S because I needed a short case to fit in my computer desk that was wide enough to fit this, and it was difficult to find. It was literally the only case I could go with.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly

Pros: Easy setup
Cool as can be
Quiet

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my AM3+ system, fits well on the ASUS Sabretooth R2. My temps are pretty good with this behemoth 28C IDLE to 44C LOAD that is with a room temperature of 25C. Fits perfectly in the CMStorm Trooper.
