Other Thoughts: Although the 2 CPU coolers came with missing parts, Noctua customer support was very responsive. 2 sets of missing parts were shipped expeditiously.

Pros: Have not used it yet.

Cons: Several items listed on the included installation manual are missing:

- no thermal compound
- no anti-vibration strips
- no screwdriver
- no fan clips
- no short screws

Other Thoughts: Purchased 2 of these. In both boxes the above listed items are missing. This is rather disappointing for such an expensive CPU cooler.

Pros: size, and heatsink quality

Other Thoughts: If you don't have a big enough case this heatsink fan combo could be an issue. I planed for it and it worked great. This is the second one I have bought from this company, and I love their products.

Pros: I was not able to use this heatsink due to the wrong mounting alignment or lack of bracket as noted below however you can tell just by looking at the construction and materials involved that this is a quality heatsink/fan combo. The instructions and supplies included are plentiful and helpful compared to other brands as well.

Cons: When purchasing this heatsink/fan combo I hastily ordered the item when i saw it was on sale. In the Product title it is listed as "A3 AMD" and NOT "AM3+". This Item will NOT fit on those boards with the included items. This seemed misleading albeit I should have looked closer on the product spec's page.

Other Thoughts: If I was able to use this product I would have rated it accordingly however the low rating is more due to the product listing since I am not able to use the device as intended.

Being that I lose over half of what I spent just trying to get it back to new egg, I think I will take my business elsewhere after this more than disappointing purchase.

Pros: Runs quiet and cool. Even without the included noise dampening power links.

Cons: I'm not complaining but these monsters are HUGE. There's 2 fans, 1 blowing into the heat sink, and 1 sucking air out. When sitting the fans evenly on the heat sink the fan can get in the way of other components such as RAM chips. However the fan location is adjustable so if I expand RAM later on I can raise the fan up a bit so I can fit it in. It just won't look perfect and could possibly affect cooling slightly.

Other Thoughts: Seems like a high quality product.

Pros: Very easy to fit once assembled*
Fan attachment is simple yet effective (no rubber things to pull through)
Heatsink is a thing of beauty

Cons: *Attaching the processor brackets (G34 or C32) with the small screws is annoying since they are slick and cannot readily be thumb tightened.

Other Thoughts: Inclusion of the tall hex key is thoughtful.
Two of these together on a SuperMicro H8DCL means you'll have to only have fans 'pushing' since there will be no room to mount them if you have the heatsinks mounted inline with airflow (front to back of case). If you mount perpendicular to the case airflow, you can fit both fans.

In the 4U case I have, there is plenty of airflow anyway and the heatsinks work great.

Pros: I have two of these cooling Opteron 4334s and they work great. These CPUs running numerous VMs never get hot.

Cons: Very large. Only 3 pin connectors.

Pros: This CPU cooler simply is AMAZING! Quality is phenomenal and it ships with way too many accessories but I guess for the price tag its alright.

Cooling performance is also phenomenal. Under full load on all 6 cores, my Opterons 4334 are kept at around 35C which is pretty low if you ask.

The fans are hyper silent (you dont even head the air passing thru).

Assembly is easy and precise. Component machining is top of the line.

Cons: The instruction sheet is garbage. Most of the pictures are totally wrong (not showing the proper component options for the socket C32) and it is cryptic to follow. Thanks to my experience assembling computers, I did not use the instructions at all.

The thermal paste that came with the heatsinks is known to be low quality so I used Arctic Cooling MX-2 instead.

Finally, the SIZE. Its HUGE. Seriously its big, but since it cools very well my opteron cpu's even under full load, is it still a disadvantage? I dont think so but be warned. In my full tower Lian Li case, they barely fit.

Pros: I used this with G34. beautifully constructed (engineering is another matter), flow can be directed in any direction (brilliant). good materials, comes with various resistors for fan speeds.

Cons: the one and only con, has always been attaching the mounts to the base - its a total pita. You can barely get the screws in between the fins and the base let alone turn them. When you do finally get them in, the wrench will only turn about 50 degrees before having to reposition it.

Other Thoughts: if they just designed the fins so that the Allen wrench could go through them to the screws, the problem would be solved with minimal loss of cooling (might even help having the extra holes in the fins).

Pros: Ok... I've seen big, but this thing requires at least 3U. It is massive, has two fans and it is QUIET. Not only that, it keeps the CPU (C32 4334) below 45C at full tilt. I read a lot of the reviews on this and people couldn't figure out how to put it together? Really? Let's stop being guys and be men and read the directions. It takes about 15 minutes.

Cons: It's massive. The board I have is a dual proc and I'm seriously doubting that when I go to add the second CPU I'll be able to put another of these next to as they will probably hit.

Other Thoughts: I went with two other heat sinks prior to this. The CPU was either overheating or on the edge . Due to this, it caused capacitor whine on those two boards. Now that I have the new board, the capacitors didn't whine and the CPU just flagged overheat in the BIOS. That's not the case any longer
