Teaming up eleven stator guide vanes with a specially conceived seven blade impeller, the NF-F12's Focused Flow system creates outstanding static pressure and focuses the airflow for superior performance on heatsinks and radiators. At the same time, a wide range of advanced aerodynamic design measures, second generation SSO-Bearings and Noctua's new, custom designed PWM IC for fully automatic control guarantee astounding quietness of operation. The NF-F12 comes with modular cabling, integrated anti-vibration pads and two speed settings for full flexibility. Its commanding performance, exhaustive set of features and Noctua's trusted premium quality make it an elite choice for use on air coolers, radiators and other pressure demanding applications.

  • newegg Focused Flow Frame and Heptaperf Impeller Designed for pressure demanding applications such as heatsinks and radiators, the Focused Flow frame features eleven stator guide vanes that straighten, channel and focus the airflow, which allows the NF-F12 to rival the performance of conventional fans running at much faster speeds. The NF-F12’s stator guide vanes are set out in Varying Angular Distance and feature Vortex-Control Notches. Both measures help to spread the noise emission over a broader frequency spectrum and thus make the fan’s sound pattern more agreeable to the human ear. Custom designed for the new Focused Flow frame and to work in tandem with the eleven stator guide vanes, the NF-F12’s seven blade Heptaperf impeller has been carefully optimized to achieve a perfect balance between power and quietness.
  • newegg Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures Noctua’s Stepped Inlet Design adds turbulence to the influx in order to facilitate the transition from laminar flow to turbulent flow, which reduces tonal intake noise, improves flow attachment and increases suction capacity, especially in space restricted environments. With the tips of the fan blades ploughing through the boundary layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures, flow separation from the suction side of the blades is significantly suppressed, which results in reduced blade passing noise and improved airflow and pressure efficiency. The Integrated Anti-Vibration Pads made from extra-soft silicone minimize the transmission of minute vibrations while maintaining full compatibility with all standard mounting systems and fan clips used on heatsinks.
  • newegg SSO2 Bearing and Metal bearing shell The NF-F12 is the first fan to feature the further optimized second generation of Noctua’s renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilization, precision and durability. In order to guarantee the highest possible degree of manufacturing precision, minimum tolerance and excellent long-term stability, the NF-F12 sports a CNC milled bearing shell made entirely from brass.
  • newegg Custom designed PWM IC with SCD Supporting fully automatic PWM speed control, the NF-F12 uses Noctua’s novel, custom designed NE-FD1 PWM IC that integrates Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology. By providing smoother torque impulses, SCD suppresses PWM switching noises and thus makes the fan quieter at lower speeds. The NF-F12 is also supplied with a Low-Noise Adaptor (L.N.A.) that reduces the maximum fan speed from 1500 to 1200rpm. The L.N.A can be used either to run the fan at a fixed speed of 1200rpm or to cap the maximum speed when using automatic PWM control.
  • newegg Ultra-Low Power Consumption The NF-F12 draws only 0.6W, which is more than 50% less than many fans in the same speed range. This doesn’t only make it eco-friendly but also cuts down the electricity bill: Compared to a typical 2W fan, this allows you to save about half the price of the NF-F12 after 5 years of continuous use.
  • newegg Extensive Cabling Options The fan’s short 20cm primary cable minimizes cable clutter in typical applications while the supplied 30cm extension provides extended reach when necessary. Both cables are fully sleeved and a 4-pin y-cable allows you to connect a second NF-F12 fan to the same PWM fan header for automatic control.

5 out of 5 eggsNoctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm Case Fan

Pros: - Best fan I ever had
- Very very quiet
- PWM fan
- Good air flow
- Perfect for Corsair H80i
- Static pressure fan
- Comes with cable extension, Y spliter and the screwless fan-mount
- Very good quality sleeving (rubberised sleeving)

This fan might seems expensive, but you get a very high quality fan and all the premium accessories so the price is very fair. If you hate noise you should pay for this fan, believe me you will be happy afterward.

Cons: The color scheme is ugly, but otherwise absolutely no cons

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth the money

Pros: Great fan, lots of rubber all around to dampen vibration and noise. Lots of accessories. PWM control.

Silent at low RPM, yet able to move lots of air when needed.

Cons: Absolutely none other than the price.

Other Thoughts: I've replaced the stock fan in my Lian Li PC-Q33B case with this one and it made a huge and immediate difference.

I'm also using the Noctua NH-U14S CPU cooler. Both fans are controlled by the BIOS in PWM mode. My system is practically silent and CPU/mobo temp stays ice cold. I'm very pleased.

4 out of 5 eggsNoctua NF-F12

Pros: -Quite

Cons: -Pressure

Other Thoughts: I am disappointed in these fans. I purchased these to replace stock fans on my CPU radiator and to add 2 more fans to the radiator in a push-pull configuration.
The listed max static pressure listed is 2,61 mm H2O comparing to SP120 P.E. listed at 3,10 mm H2O, so they shouldn't be that far behind, however this is not true.
These fans do not live up to the hype surrounding them.

I would, however, highly recommend these fans to anyone who wants high static pressure and nearly silent running. These fans are incredibly quite.
If, though, you do not care about fan noise, I would recommend against these. There are better options for less cost. Look into SP120 P.E.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: I got 2 of these to replace Corsair 120s on my H110i radiator for my water cooler. Just amazing how much more quieter these are and half the rpm's of the Corsair but with the same results.

Cons: Expensive fans.

Other Thoughts: The Corsair H110 is an excellent water cooler but the fan noise was intense. Glad I made the investment in these fans I can only hope they hold up. You could say I'm a fan of the fan.

5 out of 5 eggsterrifice

Pros: Truly powerful fans. The rubber padding on the corners of the frame really reduce vibration against the case. Hardly hear anything.

Cons: Pricey but it is a solid quality product so you do get your money's worth.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Anti-vibration mounts

I used them to replace an old 200mm intake fan and as rear exhaust on my cm haf 932 advanced. I only used one of these as intake since I'm planning to upgrade my case as well and these are the only fans I need, yet my system has never been cooler (WOW). I'm currently using the low-noise adapters and the fans are almost dead silent.
I might be the only one but I actually like the color. so that's even a plus for me.

But waht's really impressive is the content and the packaging of these: one extension, one Y cable, one low-noise adapter, anti-vibrations mounts and screws. Kuddos to noctua for these.

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: The anti-vibration adapters are really annoying ti install especially for the rear exhaust near the gpu and IO shield.

5 out of 5 eggsquiet but low flow

Pros: very quiet, nice cables, great case fans

Cons: be aware these only flow about 54cfm, not sufficient for my h100i cooling an amd 9590 not oc'd, put corsair fans back on. any other cpu probably ok with these fans

5 out of 5 eggsThese fans are perfect. Quiet!

Pros: Since I place a very high value to having a quiet computer, these fans are well worth the premium price. I installed three of them, one exhaust fan for a water cooler radiator, and the other as two intake case fans. I cannot hear a thing when they are running under full load.

Cons: None. These fans are perfect in every way.

5 out of 5 eggsMost awesome

Pros: Runs smooth, ultra quiet, does exactly what it was meant to do.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I own multiple of these Noctua fans, in all different sizes. I've never had one fail or do anything other than for what it was designed. I'm a huge fan of Noctua now, and after so many years the color has even grown on me, and I wouldn't want anything else.

5 out of 5 eggsAlmost Unbelievable!

Pros: Outstanding. I'm new to the closed loop water cooling world, so I thought that I was just getting what I paid for when I installed the stock fans that came with my H100i. I was so wrong. These things are keeping my CPU just as cool with half the RPMs and sitting here I can't even hear them running with my system idling. There's a mechanical whirry sound that the corsair stock fans kick out, I didn't realize how bad it was until I switched to the silence of these Noctuas. Got them on sale with a discount code and knowing what I know now I would have gladly paid full price for them!

Cons: Their ugly paint design is like a battle scar you should bear with pride. Be OG elite and don't go with the all black industrial fans, brown fanz for life.

Other Thoughts: Newegg's shipping is out of this world, ordered with the super saver shipping on Saturday and had them delivered on Monday.
