The NF-A15 PWM complies with Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) standard. It provides superior performance with the 120mm mounting holes (105mm spacing) which has been enlarged to 150mm width. Thanks to the sophisticated aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A15 further improves the renowned quiet cooling performance of the award-winning NF-P14. Noctua’s custom designed PWM IC for fully automatic speed control and reference class SSO2 bearings guarantee superb running smoothness and excellent long-term stability. Topped off with modular cabling and a Low-Noise Adaptor, the NF-A15 is a premium choice for the highest demands.

  • newegg Succeeding the award-winning NF-P14 Noctua’s NF-P14 fan has become a default-choice among PC enthusiasts looking for a premium quality quiet 140mm fan. Thanks to its thoroughgoing aerodynamic optimisations, the NF-A15/14 provides higher static pressure and an even better airflow/noise ratio than its much acclaimed predecessor.
  • newegg Cools quietly Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames feature integrated anti-vibration pads as well as Noctua’s unique Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures, both of which further refine the fan’s performance/noise efficiency. And the latest version of Noctua’s advanced Smooth Commutation Drive system ensures superb running smoothness by eliminating torque variations and switching noises.
  • newegg SSO2 Bearing The NF-A15 features the further optimised second generation of Noctua’s renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilisation, precision and durability.
  • newegg Low-Noise Adaptor The NF-A15 PWM is supplied with a Low-Noise Adaptor (L.N.A.) that reduces the maximum fan speed from 1200 to 900rpm. The L.N.A can be used either to run the fan at a fixed speed of 900rpm or to cap the maximum speed when using automatic PWM control.
  • newegg Extensive Cabling Options The fan’s short 20cm primary cable minimises cable clutter in typical applications while the supplied 30cm extension provides extended reach when necessary. Both cables are fully sleeved and a 4-pin y-cable allows to connect a second NF-A15 PWM fan to the same PWM fan header for automatic control.
  • newegg Ultra-Low Power Consumption Despite of its further improved performance, the NF-A15 PWM consumes only 0.96W of power, which amounts to a reduction of about 20% as compared to its predecessor. This doesn’t only make it eco-friendly but also helps to cut down the electricity bill!

5 out of 5 eggsProbably the quietest in the world!

Pros: Very quiet with reasonable flow!

Cons: Ugly colors

Other Thoughts: Check for constructor site to check the frame size because it's larger at one side that making it not compatible in every computer case.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Fans

Pros: This fan works very well and you can control it with software, be advised these fans are meant to fit a 120mm mounting hole pattern.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I haven't bought a different brand of heat-sink or fan since I discovered Noctua many years ago, quality is everything with me, and these guys fit the bill.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat product but.......

Pros: It is extremely quit and work as intended.

Cons: Due to the extra 10mm I was not able to installation became a pain, don't get me wrong the product work. Due to that extra 10mm and also the screw holes does not match my tower specification made life not so fun.

Other Thoughts: They company or the vender should add for-warning that this product is not 140mm case friendly.

1 out of 5 eggsMakes noise.

Pros: Fits in places that other 140mm fans might not.

Cons: Makes a terribly annoying whining noise, no matter what speed.

Other Thoughts: I received this with a Noctua air cooling heatsink. The heatsink itself was of good quality, but this fan is just terrible. No matter what speed I run it at, no matter what it is attached to (radiator, heatsink, or just a normal fan space on a case) it makes a ridiculously loud an annoying whining noise. Noctua has excellent service, and would probably be willing to replace the fan, but I switched to water cooling and have no need of it anymore. Just making this review to let people know.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat fan

Pros: very quiet,
nice extra large size
120mm mounts create big compatibility

Cons: doesn't replace a good heatsink
More than one doubles performance

Other Thoughts: this fan won't solve your problems all by itself, but its the first step to a cool, quiet case. I am buying more. 140mm fans just can't replicate its performance for the given dB.... Careful about spacing, these can bump into other components....

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, I can't hear my fans

Pros: Very quiet, stable when running and air noise, "what air noise" I did not know about a premium fan until I bought four of these to incorporate with my Corsair Hydro Series H110.

Cons: Purchased only four, I like them so much I am going to get three more from Newegg to put in the front of my case,

Other Thoughts: This build was fun and was very enjoyable up until I finished it. Now I don't have anything else to put together in this build.

5 out of 5 eggsNoctua, a Class of Their Own

Pros: What can I say? If you look at someone's computer and you see brown fans, you know they mean business, and won't blow your ear drums out doing it. High air-flow, and quiet. What else can you ask for? Oh, the color! If Noctua starts offering other colors, I will start looking at other fans.

Cons: These are 140mm fans, but the bolt pattern is 120mm. So if you plan to use these on a case that has 140mm holes, buy something else.

Other Thoughts: A ton of people complain about the color. I shun them, because Noctua fans are always noticeable. I define good air-flow by the color brown, thanks to Noctua. I hope that they never change.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome fan

Pros: very efficient. very quiet. variable PWM

Cons: The fans are big

Other Thoughts: they have all sorts of mounting holes for just about every occasion, but still had to modify one of the fans to fit the case. It was unexpected, but only took 5 min with an exacto blade.

I bought 6, two on water cooler, two on front, one on rear and one on bottom. With all six fans running I can barely hear them at all. the motherboard fan controller works well with these pwm fans. most of the time they are loafing around 400 rpms (asus maximus vi formula)

Pros: -Noctua warranty of 6 years
- Quiet
- Decent amount of airflow
- Packing and amount of cables is awesome

Cons: Mounting can be hard

Other Thoughts: Don't do what I did and think these were just regular case fans. While these are great fans and can be used as case fans these are mainly to be used for CPU coolers that use a fan of your choice. These fans are weird and mount in 120mm spaces.

I regret not buying the NF-P14 FLX to put in my 140mm spaces. I had no idea that this could even be an issue. It was entirely my fault but please be aware when buying these fans. If you want 120mm get the NF-P12. If you want 140mm, get the NF-P14. If you want a CPU cooler that has 120mm mounts and you want a bigger fan, get this.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Fan

Pros: smooth as silk, almost inaudible

Cons: non

Other Thoughts: bought this as a 2nd fan for push/pull with my NH-U14S. while this isn't a "con" you DO need to make sure you have room for these. I'm only populating 2 memory slots...I'm using some Corsair Vengeance RAM which has a tall heat sink. If I was going for 32 GB with all 4 slots the fan wouldn't clear the memory.
