5 out of 5 eggsMade in Taiwan

Pros: - Noctua thinks of everything, and designes for it accordingly
- Package includes everything you need and some stuff you don't
- Perfect for 95W CPUs and Overclocking
- Fits! (EVGA Z97 FTW motherboard with Mushkin Redline RAM)
- Yes, it fits
- You can slap on a second fan (sold separately)
- Quiet

Cons: - For the price i was hoping for a unit made in Austria
- Big
- Fan is not labelled with the direction it blows. You have to remove the fan for installation so double check that everything is oriented the way you want it.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Air Cooler on the market (but you already knew that, right?)

Pros: Completely compatible with all RAM. They weren't blowing smoke, they know their stuff.
Legendary Noctua silence of operation, I can hear nothing from this cooler under load.
Compatible with every socket on the market, old or new (via Noctua customer support) for FREE.
Excellent customer support. I was emailed back the same day my email was sent (the email was sent as a test of their response time and quality of service, there was nothing wrong with my unit).
With my AMD FX6350 overclocked to 4.7 GHz under Prime95 temps never went above 42 Celcius. This is unheard of performance for an air cooler.
NT-H1 thermal compound is *as good* as Arctic Silver or IC Diamond (in some cases it's better). I use it on all my builds. And the applicator comes with enough for several applications.

Cons: Some would say the color is ugly, and they would be correct. The performance of this unit is enough that you can look past the poop brown fans. Honestly, I don't mind it anyways.
Some motherboard configurations seat the RAM slots so close to the cooler that certain modules are technically "incompatible". However, Noctua's website addresses that issue, so it's not their fault if there are clearance issues, nor is it false advertising.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing CPU cooler!

Pros: Beautiful packaging
Well written instructions
Easy to install
Shiny!
Color scheme (depending on tastes)
Fan compatibility
Well designed, no clearance issues (This fit in my 13 year old Antec ATX case)

Cons: Color scheme (Some may not like the brown)
Price (I've never spent more than 40 for a CPU cooler before, but it was well worth it)

Other Thoughts: I love the minimal design style of both the cooler and packaging. It looks great in such a classic way, with none of the usual flash you often see with enthusiast products.

2 out of 5 eggsMissing Intel Mounting Brackets

Pros: It looks nice.

Cons: I opened the included packet for the Intel specific parts and found that there were no mounting brackets. The box contained a screw packet and the rubber parts for mounting a second fan.

Other Thoughts: I have overnighted a set of mounting kits that will arrive the day after Christmas. Hopefully, they are compatible with the spacing on my motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT

Pros: Great tech support. QUIET!!!

Cons: Not too sure how much it cools since I'm not an overclocker, but my temps are very low.

5 out of 5 eggsAbout the right size

Pros: It's all about the matter of size. It's small enough not interfering with ram nor top pciex1 slot, and yet still good enough to cool my I7 2600K oc to 4.5g.

Cons: It's the same price as NH-U14S, with smaller heat stinker and fan. Wish it could come with two fans.

Other Thoughts: If you don't use high ram nor top pciex1 slot, go with NH-D15 or NH-D14. If you use high ram but not top pciex1 slot, go with NH-U14S. If you use both high ram and top pciex1 slot like me running a sli setup and pcie sound card in top slot, this is the best you can get.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy install, better than AIO

Pros: Cools better than H110 on previous build (same CPU).
Very very very easy to install...makes the Hyper 212 EVO seem difficult by comparison.
Whisper quiet.

Cons: Heavy, may put strain on MOBO, but unlikely.

Other Thoughts: This is an awesome cooler. It is far more effective than the Hyper 212 EVO and cools better (and quieter) than my H110...

5 out of 5 eggsUgly Fan, But Quiet & Cool

Pros: - Easy installation
- Quiet operation
- Cool CPU
- Quality product
- Everything needed is in the box

Cons: The fan is an ugly brown, but unless you have a window into your case and sit around looking through it, that's pretty irrelevant.

Other Thoughts: I've built only three or four computers, but this Noctua NH-U12S CPU Cooler was the easiest CPU cooler of them all to install. No problems with installation or operation. Highly recommended.

My relevant hardware:
- Case: Fractal Design Define Mini
- Motherboard: ASUS GRYPHON Z97
- Memory: Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4590S

4 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: -Silent

-Good quality

-Good customer support and warranty

Cons: -A bit hard to install but that was my first time.

-Be careful with the screwdriver included in the box, it can strip the head of the screws if you're not careful. (I removed one star because of this). Use a real screwdriver!

Other Thoughts: Noctua will actually send new installation sets (base plate, etc) if you reuse this cooler on your future builds!

I used this on my FX-8350 (stock) and it rarely goes over 45 degrees C while gaming
