The NF-A14 industrialPPC (Protected Performance Cooling) provides superior flow rates as well as great dependability. It features a 3000rpm, three-phase motor and an SSO2 bearing for class-leading performance, efficiency, and durability. Combined with a robust polyamide construction and advanced protection features, this fan is ideal for challenging industrial applications.

  • newegg 3000rpm industrialPPC version Running twice as fast as the 1500rpm retail version, the NF-A14 industrialPPC-3000 provides extreme airflow and pressure performance.
  • newegg Three-phase motor design While most axial fans use single-phase motors with four slots, Noctua’s industrialPPC fans feature a three-phase design with six slots. This provides smoother transitions between the slots and allows for even higher running smoothness, further reducing vibrations and unprecedented energy efficiency.
  • newegg AAO frame Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames feature integrated anti-vibration pads as well as Noctua’s proprietary Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures, both of which further refine the fan’s performance/noise efficiency.
  • newegg Certified IP52 water- and dust protection Thanks to a special varnish coating that covers the motor and the PCB, the NF-A14 industrialPPC complies with the ingress protection rating IP52. This means that it is not only highly dust resistant, but also withstands dripping water equivalent to 3mm rainfall per minute.
  • newegg SSO2 Bearing The NF-A14 industrialPPC features the further optimized second generation of Noctua’s renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilization, precision, and durability.
  • newegg Custom designed PWM IC with SCD Supporting fully automatic PWM speed control, the NF-A14 industrialPPC uses Noctua’s custom designed NE-FD2 PWM IC for three-phase motors. The NE-FD2 integrates Noctua’s proprietary Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology, which suppresses PWM switching noises and makes the fan quieter at lower speeds.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat fan, recommended if you can control the RPM

Pros: -Massive airflow
-Stealthy looks
-Long, sleeved cable

Cons: -Incredibly loud at full RPM (which it defaults to). Louder even than my AMD stock heatsink.

Other Thoughts: Somehow, the Noctua fan is the only one in my rig that does not default to a decent RPM in Windows, so I use a program called SpeedFan to slow it down to 45% RPM, where it's still audible but not very loud. I assume that you could control it with a fan controller as well.
It's possible you don't run into this issue, but I do with an Asus M5a99FX Pro R2.0 motherboard, running Windows 10. So if you have the same setup, consider this fan if you don't mind getting fan controlling hardware or software.

5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite fan

Pros: This is honestly my favorite fan in my whole rig. I have it blowing cold air in from the bottom. Still cool when it blows out the top.
It really does move air. Not as cartoonishly hard as one might expect of an industrial grade fan, but it does get the job done.

Cons: You can hear it when the machine is powering up and the fans run at top speed. yeah, it sounds like it might lift off. However, once it’s in Windows, it downshifts to cruising speed. Even with everything else in the apartment silent, all I hear is a faint whisper of white noise. Maybe some people would still be bothered by that, but I often have a fan or an AC unit going, so it’s nothing to me.
And they're not the cheapest fans, but you do get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: I wish I had more places in my rig to mount 140mm fans. If I did, I’d order more of these.
Fortunately, their 120mm little brothers kick *** too!

5 out of 5 eggsPremium performance fan for airflow

Pros: Provides plenty of airflow to a case!! I have a Silverstone TJ 04b- e case. Its a nice, midsize case. It came with 3 12 cm fans. I added one of these, along with a 12cm one. I can't say for sure, but it seems like the 14 cm version puts out as much airflow as the rest combined lol. This is a truly effective fan.

Cons: Can be loud, a bit on the expensive side.

5 out of 5 eggsJust needed to replace the engine/propeller on my airplane

Pros: Great airflow

Cons: Brown rubber is ugly
Replaced my airplane engine with this thing and now the plane is louder

Other Thoughts: Recommend this fan if you have a way of controlling its speed. It is very loud at full RPM. I have this set up as an exhaust fan with a motherboard fan controller and it's excellent. Not too loud at low RPM but when the computer is working hard I get an audible indication as well as very good exhaust/cooling.
I recommend a fan vibration dampener from FrozenCPU (for aesthetics, not vibration). They are inexpensive, have a ton of colors to choose from and they fit the fan well...that way the fan doesn't stick out like a sore tuuurd in your computer.

5 out of 5 eggsCOLD! QUIET! STURDY!

Pros: Everything!

Cons: Nothing! Perhaps a bit LOUD on max speed but its an industrial fan so what do you expect. My PC sits 20 feet away in a closet so all my fans are set to max and I hear nothing.
Price.

Other Thoughts: Definitely recommended,

5 out of 5 eggsNoctua Fans Rock

Pros: I have two of these in a NZXT H630 on a Corsair radiator. I can hear them when brought up to full speed, but they are pretty quiet under normal operating condition. They definitely move the air! Thinking about putting two more in the case as system fans.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The cost is worth the quality and airflow.

5 out of 5 eggsSuch a surpise

Pros: I was hesitant to get Noctua fans since a lot of people say the brand is overrated. I am happy I did not listen to them.

I purchased two 140mm fans for my Nepton 280mm AIO water cooler. I will compare temps to stock fans that came with the Nepton.
I didnt expect such a change in temperatures. When I installed the Noctua fans the idle temps drastically change. My 5820K went from idling 35-40C to idling 25-30C. On load when playing games at 4K resolution mu CPU temps didnt go above 64C after gaming for hours. List of games: Starwars Battle front, Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor, Batman arkham night, MGSV.

Cons: None just buy the fans, worth the cash.

Other Thoughts: By the way my case was the Cooler Master Cosmos II

5 out of 5 eggs3000 RPM Industrial

Pros: PWM
Airflow is insane
Noctua Quality is unparalleled
VERY long cables, sleeved

Cons: The actual controllable range for this fan is about 1600rpm to 3000rpm.
At 3000rpm, these sound like a turbofan; at 1650 RPM, it is still quite noisy.

Other Thoughts: If noise isn't an issue for you, these fans are absolutely incredible.
Properly labeled as 'industrial'.

4 out of 5 eggsFast and furious

Pros: It's really a great fan. It's like having a jet engine intake on your system.

Cons: it's loud as hell.
is there a way to make this quieter?
NA-SRC7 (low adaptor noise) doesn't work at all.

Other Thoughts: Would be great if it's quiet.
but performance wise it's 10/10

5 out of 5 eggsTURBO POWER GO!!!

Pros: -Brown and black never looked so good
-A quiet breeze when you want it
-A hurricane when you need it
-Rubber fittings to absorb noise

Cons: -A little pricey

Other Thoughts: My case has three intake vents and one exhaust. This fan occupies the exhaust. At full power the fan lowers the pressure inside the case so much that if you put a piece of cardboard beside one of the intakes, the suction will keep it from falling off, even with the other intakes wide open.
Overkill??? Absolutely :)
