5 out of 5 eggsvery cool

Pros: It works solid. Keeps my AMD X2 5200 at 28 C under load. I have it overclocked to 2.99GHz. Neato.

Cons: When the CPU is not under load, you can hear the TEC turn on and off. A little annoying at first, but I got used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore.

Other Thoughts: I am looking to put together another computer and I need this cooler to complete it. I will buy again when it comes available.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Cooler

Pros: Very efficient CPU Cooler, keeps my AMD Athlon x2 6400 below 86 Degrees F(below 30DegreesC).

Cons: Very large, make sure that you read the specifications and that you have enough room in your case for a CPU cooler this size. The height is easily 5 inches off of the motherboard. i had to move a fan on the side of my case somewhere else or it wouldn't fit.

Other Thoughts: I would suggest this to anyone that wants to keep their processor running for a very long time

5 out of 5 eggsWaiting, Waiting, Waiting

Pros: I have a friend with this cooler in an Antec 900 case and the previous guy was right, you would be lucky to slip a piece of paper betwen the 120mm fan and the top of this cooler. But it works GREAT! We couldn't believe the low temps!

Cons: I want one, the Egg obviously can't get them. I'm sure not the Egg's fault but Vigor Gaming obviously can't make enough of them. I WANT ONE!

Other Thoughts: Come on Newegg, use your muscle and get some! My friend has his machine insanely overclocked and this TEC cooler dosen't even break a sweat!

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than air or liquid cooling

Pros: This cooling solution allows me to oc my Opteron 165 from 1800 to 2970 Stable. Case at 36c processor at 30c. Core at 24c

Cons: A little noisy but worth it. I have an Antec 900 case with 4 120s and a 200mm.

Other Thoughts: 6c below case and ambient is awsome.

5 out of 5 eggsPlease don't downvote because you can't read

Pros: It works well, always going to be better than any air cooling of comparable dB. Science for the win (Apparently f.t.w. is a bad word).

Cons: Nichts.

Other Thoughts: "It doesn't fit blah blah blah"
Please read the specifications for all of the parts that you buy, especially if you know you have a smaller case. 160mm is listed on the heatsink specifications. If you're as lazy as I am, go to google, and type in "160mm in in" without the quotes. It'll tell you straight away that 160mm is about 6.3 inches.

"IT ONLY WORKS FOR AMD PLATFORMS!!!"

"Socket 754 / 939 / 940 / AM2"
I don't see LGA775, or Sockets M, P, 478, 604, or 771 in there. If it doesn't say it fits Intels, it probably doesn't.

"You void warranty on both your chip and board installing this"
I'm pretty sure that's not true, as there's not a way to buy a motherboard or cpu with any cooling fan whatsoever already installed (obviously I don't mean a prefab). I might be wrong on this one, but honestly -- it's not like this is water; you shouldn't be freaked about your warranties unless you like to bathe with your PC, or pressure wash it.

Cooling well worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggssweet buy

Pros: Easy to install. It looked hard at first untill I read how to install. total time to install was around 15 mins with people bugging me :/

Cons: Dont get this if you have a small tower. I have the Antec 900

Other Thoughts: I have the Antec 900 case with an additional 120mm fan on the side. It clears the fan with about 2mm's

5 out of 5 eggsfantastic.

Pros: Inexpensive and runs cooler than my former water cooled system.

Cons: HUGE.

Other Thoughts: This is a fantastic piece of gear! No matter what I throw at it or what the ambient temps are in the room.. it seems to stay right around 30C

5 out of 5 eggsIm satisfied

Pros: im extremely satisfied with the performance of the of this Thermal Electric CPU Cooler. it keeps my duel core 6000+ at ruffley ~82F.
its way better than stock fan and heatsink witch it went up to abot 122F... yeah a lil warm LOL.

Cons: installation was farley easy if you have a brain. the only bad part is those big springy screws they give you; i only could get 3 on but it worked; i just hope you have small fingers when you try to put this thing together.

Other Thoughts: BUY IT IT WORKS

and think you new egg your the best
i love you

1 out of 5 eggsIf you ever go Intel don't buy this!

Pros: Cooling system works good as specified.

Cons: $139. AND IT ONLY WORKS FOR AMD PLATFORMS!!!

Other Thoughts: I contacted the company and they told sluff off and buy another one with Intel as the platform. Thisis the same cooler as the Ultra-Chill and oddly it comes with both Intel AND AMD connecting hardware out fo the box. I was willing to pay to have the Intel attachments sent to me but Vigor said no. What's even worse is that we are talking about a backplate, 4 small extensions and 4 small screws.

5 out of 5 eggsA Beauty

Pros: I am highly impressed with this unit. It keeps my X2 5600 at ~80F! It was a little annoying to install, but all was well. It just barely fits in my LianLi PC65, its a monster. I am most amazed at the noise, it is incredibly quiet for what it does. This is the best Heatsink I have ever owned, I am very satisfied.

Cons: Has the potential to not fit in some cases.
