Pros: Does wonders very good for overclocking.

Cons: I havent had any like other people

Other Thoughts: Works great have had it over a year and overclocking my 3.4 pentium d to a 4.3 stable for over a year now.
Never gets over 48 degrees on full load.

Pros: Still is keeping my cpu nice and cold. Still an amazing unit.

Cons: Absolutely none

Other Thoughts: I've been using this cpu cooler for over a year now and I've read before that people had issues with it after it reached 5000 hours. My 5.25 bay drive says that mine has been running for a little under 8000 hours and I have yet to have any issues with the unit. It still keeps my overclocked E8400 @ 4.0 ghz at 30 C idle and never above 35 C full load.

Pros: Very cool when it works. Vigor customer service is great, they sent me a new fan and heat sink when my old one fried... FOR FREE, and I KEPT my old one which partially worked

Cons: Installed the new one they sent me tonight... and the brain of it CAUGHT ON FIRE. Like, orange fiery things and smoke kind of fire! After ripping the plug out of the back of my computer and preparing to pour a bottle of water on it, I realized it stopped burning. But now I'm left with no cooler as they just discontinued the product...

Other Thoughts: When it worked it was great. I was a big fan of this for a long time and told all my friends about how awesome it was. I still think it's a great product when it works, but what if I had my computer on and left home and it started on fire like this? I'd have burned my apartment down! It just scares me... everything was plugged in perfectly fine, I've built dozens of computers and never had a problem before, but this really scares me... if you buy this, please, PLEASE dont leave your computer on when you're away, your belongings might thank you. And again, I hate writing this review because it kept my temperatures so friggin cool (under 30C idle), but it's hazardous.

Pros: i have the ultra chillTEC which is identical to this, just rebranded, at the time NE didnt carry it and i bought it from tiger, and all my other parts from NE. i purchased this for a gaming rig i was making in may 07. and i used ArcticSilver5 for the thermal paste. i read a TON of reviews b4 buying. initially, at stock clocks, was getting temps of like 16c idle, 21 c load. after some OC to like 3 ghz ish temps increased to like 28 load, i was ecstatic because i was getting much better results than any reviews id seen of this product, and then my dreams started to fade read: cons. also had to RMA the first one because the fins were all shredded, 2nd was ok.

Cons: after like 4 mths temperatures started gradually increasing and nothing seemed to be causing it, and it started outputting more and more heat into my room, now its certifiably a space heater. now one year later, it idles on stock clocks at 30c and load at about 42. this is with 5 80mm fans on the case, and i replaced the fans, i keep them constantly at 2500-2800 rpm also, its puzzling me deeply, and then all of a sudden tonight, the fan died and my cpu went past 70c setting off all kinds of alarms. i got freaked out my cpu was gonna fry. tomorrow i plan to see if it melted anything like others have said, i will try to remount it and put new paste. i might switch to a TRUE. they are cheaper and longer lasting.

Other Thoughts: striker extreme, e6700, xfx 7950gt, oczreaper pc 8500 2gb 2x1gb, xfi fatal1ty, ultra chillTEC.

it was great at first, and then its been nothing but problems getting hotter and less efficient over time, to the point where its probably= stock cooler, and im about ready to ditch it and just build a new system. with ocz reaper ram it only fits in the 2 farthest slots, the cooler is so huge, its like a school bus huge. you will most certainly chafe your knuckles on asus rampage and striker mb's installing this, and u have to pull the mb to install it cuz the backplate.

Pros: work well at the beginning. Love the glowing light and the quietness.

Cons: The fan stop working after the warranty ran out. I bought this almost exactly 1 year from today, 8.18.08. my computer almost overheated. luckily I shut it down in time and checked it out. Found out the fan stop working!! This stinks!! I'd paid some high price for this and it stop working. Bad Quality! It's quite large for a cooler.

Pros: Keeps my CPU cool, no more than 40C idle and 50C full load.

Cons: It's not really a "con", but this thing gives off a lot of heat. So make sure your case is properly ventilated. (see below)

Other Thoughts: A thing to remember is that the was the TEC chip works. It that it keeps your CPU w/in 5 degrees of the temperature in your case. This is why it's important to make sure your case is properly ventilated.

Pros: Tecs always cool great at first ,easy to install uninstall luckily ,will perform on par with liquid for abit

Cons: I have used tecs on marine aquariums and this unit on a pc biuld this is no slam towards vigor ,they always do the same thing the restince biulds up at the tech overtime and the wirring melts in the long run u will be happier with a quality heatpipe if u don`t wat liqiud

Pros: When I got it, my CPU was kept at about 81F, or like 26C or something like that. I overclocked my E6600 to 3.0GHz and it still kept it just slightly over room temperature... which is insanely good. Best CPU cooling device I've ever used except...

Cons: At precisely 2879 hours (yes, I kept track), the fan completely stopped. At 2868 hours, the fan started to spin very slow, and if I didn't watch my temperatures, I would see 70 degrees C (NOT Fahrenheit) on the display, which is obviously bad, and smelled burning plastic. I contacted the company and they said they'd send me a new fan, and hopefully they respond soon because I really need a new one to play games and hate using a giant fan to blow through my computer...

Other Thoughts: Excellent product when it works, but most people seem to notice the fan dying in about a year. Luckily mine died right before the warranty ended. As long as it's working properly it rocks, but just keep an eye out for strange noises and the fan not working properly... I'm on my comp right now with the fan not spinning and the cooler is so awesome that as long as I'm idling and have a fan blowing through my comp, it won't overheat, and that's with two 8800GTS's in SLI heating the thing up!

Pros: I LOVE THIS THING! Started out with a C2DE6600 with this thing kept it nice and cool. Moved up to an E8400 when it came out, kept it nice and breezy as well, round low 20's never above 30 degrees celsius! Now having just overclocked my processor to 4 ghz still amazed at how cool it is, even in the hottest part of my house!

Cons: Really, for the quality product you get, price isn't so much of a con for me. Sure it's expensive, but you get what you pay for! It is a big unit also, make sure you have room around your cpu socket!

Other Thoughts: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 4.0 ghz, Asus Maximus Formula, 4 gbs ram ddr2 pc6400, Ultra X3 Kilowatt psu, 2x 150 gb Raptors in RAID 0, 2x 500 gb WD's in RAID 0, ATI HD2900XT, Vista Ultimate x64, Thermaltake Black Kandalf, 24" Sceptre...amazing!!!

Pros: When I first got this cooler it kept things nicely cool. It's sitting on an Intel Core 2 Quad and I was very happy.

Cons: At 10 months use (5K hours) the fan failed. I had to cut the failed fan cable to replace the fan. I have just plugged the new fan in and am letting it free run because I'm not keen on removing the whole thing to solder in a new fan. I'll see how much of a contortionist I'll need to be to reconnect everything nicely.

Other Thoughts: I understand the fan is the first and probable point of failure. Having said that, Vigor should put a connector on just the fan so it is easier to replace. If I do end up removing this cooler I think I'll just move to water cooling - though I suspect even that has its issues...
