1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality Blades

Pros: It fit in the case

Cons: Flimsy blade construction. I noticed a ticking sound and found it was rubbing on my side panel where it was mounted. Reset the fan in its housing, gave it power and the blade struck so hard it shattered at the base. Would not recommend.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Fits my d/c Xclio Windtunnel.

Cons: DOA - Tested on its own power connection and no dice. Then ran the power connector inline to my other system fans, of which they received power on all four pin lanes, unfortunately this fan saw it fit to be half-true to its name. I guess a fan can be silent if it refuses to be a working part from the get-go.

Other Thoughts: No doubt I'm just one of the lucky few to get a dud. Paying for return shipping is a bit of a bummer though.

5 out of 5 eggsRexflo 250mm fan

Pros: quiet
reliable

Cons: died after 5 years of continuous use

Other Thoughts: I purchased this fan to vent my home theater equipment that is located in a cabinet. I purchased mine on 9/29/2009 and installed it right after I got it. It's been running continously until today (3/23/2014), when the fan fell off. I just purchased a replacement. I was very happy with this fan and happy with the life that I got out of it. Also, the fan is still running, and I could push the fan back on. It is a little wobbly and I could probably glue it back in place and fix it, but I am just going to purchase the new one.

2 out of 5 eggsnot that good

Pros: They still make the 250mm case fan.

Cons: The build quality is poor.

It hasn't even lasted a week and the case fan is already shaking.

The blades are not even so it sometimes rattles against the case (wobbles). I think it might be the spring that pushes the fan out might be a bit on the weak side.

Other Thoughts: As this is the only company that newegg is selling you really have a very limited choice in buying a 250mm case fan.

The Rexus Rexflo fan is a little flimsy and not exactly cheep price wise so it might be best to avoid it if you can.

4 out of 5 eggsgood after a year

Pros: Size: I have a case that came with 2 poorly built 250mm fans that are hard to find. Durability: my old fans only lasted 6 months, and so did the warranty replacements. These new fans show no real problems over a year later.

Cons: Slightly louder than the old fans. A bit expensive, and if these fail I'll probably just buy a new case.

Other Thoughts: I got these as drop in replacements for my XCLIO WindTunnel case. I would not buy these for any other reason though, and would stick to more widely available sizes for custom cases/mods. They fit but I can't use my case's proprietary fan speed controls to adjust their speed, but that's not a fault of the fans. I imagine aftermarket speed controllers work.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat fan

Pros: Replaced 250 case fan in my XCLIO Wind tunnel. oem fan blade broke off. So in replacing this fan it is just as quite as my old fan my has much more air flow.

Cons: no control for me to change my speed with org case controls. either on or off not middle.

Other Thoughts: Even though i went with this one, the con did not out weight the pros. I am getting a second to replace my still functioning oem fan.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing failure

Pros: It's the right, somewhat unusual size for my case.

Cons: One of the blades somehow came out of alignment so it started crashing into the grill of my side window. I'll either have to cut that blade shorter manually or buy a new fan.

2 out of 5 eggsGood but needs replaceing after a year

Pros: Cheap. It works for about 1 year.

Cons: Don't look here for a fan that lasts longer then a year. You'll most likely need to replace it every year, as it starts to wobble and starts touching the case.

2 out of 5 eggsDies very quickly

Pros: Cheap, nice airflow.

Cons: The fan started squeaking and rattling after a few months, by the time a full year hit, it's doing it consistently.

Other Thoughts: Good temporary fan, but if you want something that will last long term, this isn't for you.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: very quiet and keeps case super cool.

Cons: a template would have been nice seeing as most towers don't have a opening for a fan this large.
