4 out of 5 eggsLong lasting fan with good airflow

Pros: The large fan really ups the airflow in my case. I first modded my case with this fan 4 years ago, and it functioned well for that entire time. I noticed a temp reduction of almost 10 degrees F after I first installed it. The price is right so when it finally died I just replaced it with the same one. Even though the hardware in my case has changed substantially it still does the job.

Cons: Both times I installed the fan at least one of the mounting pegs cracked when used with the included screws. Not a big deal, and it should be cleaned fairly regularly; the punched-hole mesh can gather dust quickly depending on the environment. Rather have the dust on the fan than in the case.

4 out of 5 eggsBright, Windy but don't last too long.

Pros: I have one of the older Xclio Windtunnel cases that require two 250mm fans on the side. The original Xclio fans lasted 6 years before dying but the Rexus fans that replaced them lasted two years before giving up the ghost. They are huge and provide lots of air though. The leds are very bright and work perfectly for the intended purpose.

Cons: The last two Rexus 250mm's i brought lasted 2 years. Can't say I'm too thrilled about that but Rexus appears to be the only company that sells case fans of this size on Newegg. Fans work perfectly though....they just don't last as long as i would prefer.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very quiet fans, moves a TON of air. Easy to install once my case (Xclio Wind Tunnel) was pulled apart.

Cons: I, like another review I saw, had to clip some of the tips of one of the fans away to ensure it did not get stuck while spinning.

I wish they had come with the fan control connectors to adjust the speed.

Other Thoughts: I had to replace both of the original 250MM fans I got with the Wind Tunnel in 2009, as the originals finally died.

4 out of 5 eggsQuality Fan, Runs Loud

Pros: Overall, for a case fan, it does its job. Used this fan to replace an original from my case that had gone bad.

- Quality construction, solid frame
- Quick, easy installation
- LED matches existing fans (didn't want franken-case)

Cons: Upon running the fan for the first time i was taken back at how loudly it hums. I expected some white noise, but not THIS much. The sound is drowned out by my VGA cooler when it kicks in so its hardly noticeable. The real issue I have is when it idles and I can hear it in the other room.

Other Thoughts: This replaced 1 of 2 fans in the side panel of my case. I recently replaced the opposite fan with a different model, which Newegg was out of at the time of this purchase. For what it is made for, this is a solid fan. Just on the loud side

3 out of 5 eggsEh, works well enough.

Pros: Big, moves a lot of air, the only thing I could find to replace the dead 25cm fan on my XClio Blackhawk I ordered over 2 years ago. Easy 4 pin connector to the PSU.

Cons: After a couple of minutes one of the fan blades twisted and kept getting stuck in one of the holes on my side panel. Had to trim away the pointed end to keep it from happening. Then again the Blackhawk had massive holes on the side intake slot, but it's something to be aware of.

Other Thoughts: The case came with a fan controller built in that controlled speed and an on/ off switch for the LED's, on the fan there are no extra wires to solder in your own connector to control the fan speed and LED power separately. What that means for you is that it's always on, always lit up.

3 out of 5 eggsIts.... O. K.

Pros: This fan ran quite well, fast, powerful and above all.. Silent.

Cons: It did not live very long at all. In fact, today it fully died out. The bearings are now seized. It was not even a full year before the lights on this fan began dying out, but that is not why I even bought the fan. I bought it because Thermaltake will not sell me a replacement for the 250mm fan that came with my Armor case. What a crock!

Other Thoughts: This fan is ok for a quick fix, do not rely on it for a serious long term run. 2 years seems to be the max life.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product

Pros: Excellent airflow/noise ratio

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I mounted this fan outside my HTPC case on the back side of my enclosed entertainment center for a primary vent for the HTPC and power conditioner. Successfully keeps the compartment cool.

3 out of 5 eggsUpdate to my previous feedback

Pros: Ok, the fan still works and it does move some air... but

Cons: for no obvious reason, the fan just does not always start when I hit the power button. I have to pop the side cover and (literally) give it a little spin to get it moving. This isn't a big deal to do, but I shouldn't have to. It is supposed to do this all by itself, right ? It's just a pain to have to "jump start" the fan at random intervals. I would say 7 out of 10 starts it needs a helping hand.

Other Thoughts: I purchased it in April 2012 and it is now Nov 2012 and I'm a bit disappointed with the reliability of this $25 fan. I don't smoke and I can't see any reason it would behave like this. Hey Rexus, can you help me out ?
