LOUD! and wierd connecter
- Pros: This fan moves more air than the fan I use to cool myself off.
- Cons: Loudest thing in my room (besides speakers or people). It sounds like a jet turbine.
- Other Thoughts: Definitely need to hook this to a fan speed controller if you are going to leave your computer run all the time. --It hooks to a 3-pin on motherboard if you CAREFULLY cut off the little plastic bump on the right (when wires come out of the top part and latch is on back). Line up the fan connector so that the 3 right most slots are used for the 3-pin connection and it will work fine.

PWM fans provide additional airflow by using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to automatically adjust fan speed according to the CPU load. The fan can be idled down and thus be much quieter. The PWM chip in the motor allows an exact fan speed control via BIOS. |
