5 out of 5 eggsStunning

Pros: Low noise under 1800RPM, which is where it stays thanks to being my CPU fan. I can't even hear it unless I'm doing something intensive (Benchmarking, rendering or some gaming may get it to 2100rpm). CPU idles at 14C an tops out at 31C. (1090T@4.1Ghz)

Cons: 38mm design is a challenge to fit to my cooler...

Other Thoughts: Great upgrade if you want to keep a clocked cpu cool!

4 out of 5 eggsVery good fan

Pros: Not particularly loud when compared to a 92mm Vantec Tornado. Static CFM is very good. Noise below 2k rpm is very tolerable. Flows an extreme amount of air even at low rpm. PWM is nice.

Cons: Requires 1.3 amperes....that's insane, but it runs fine off a PWM header on a motherboard (most seem to support 2A and up).
Can be loud at full RPM.
The plastic connectors were broken out of the box, allowing the wires to slip out of the connector when plugging it into the motherboard. Result: non-op fan until the wires were reconnected.
It can also draw blood.

Other Thoughts: I had a fluke with the connector. Once realized, the fan runs very well. It has more of a woosh/hum sound instead of a buzz/vacuum cleaner sound. Very large, almost triangular blades. This is sitting on a Noctua C12P, so air is blowing on the RAM, NB, and VRM sections, helping those stay cool. It's expensive, but a very well built, heavy, fan. Too soon to prove its longevity, but it's a model that typically comes in Dell computers, and made by NMB. I think it will be fine.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!!!

Pros: the amount of air this thing movies is insane. love how i can drop it down to 900 rpm and keep my cpu at 92 F
haven't had any issues with it... $25 is a fair price for this fan.
use speedfan if you want to control the fan yourself.

Cons: $15-17 would be a more competitive price in my opinion then the $25.99

Other Thoughts: below about 600 rpm the fan shuts off it turns back on once you set it back above 600.... also its only audible past 1400+rpm from about 1ft away from the side of the case and the side of my case is all mesh - so with a closed case probably hit 1600 rpm before you can hear it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: so i had my fiancees dell dimension E520 apart today for routine cleaning and, curious about the stock case-slash-CPU fan, i popped the model number into neweggs search and low and behold here it is.

having had this computer in the family for over 3 years now, this fan has always impressed me. the system is barely audible most of the time, quietly purring away with just a soft "hufffff" of air...but you can always tell when it needs cleaning because this fan will unexpectedly roar to life when the system is under load. it can get so loud that you actually have to raise your voice to be heard over it. its freaking amazing. this one fan completely drowns out my 4ghz core i5 system with its 8 fans roaring at full speed.

please note that im not complaining, because this fan moves enough air at a sane and quiet speed that it rarely revs up to 100% id say maybe 20-30% average? (dell doesnt allow me to watch hardware).

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Good on dell for supplying quality components from the factory. dual ball bearing, gobs of airflow on demand, and whisper quiet 90% of the time. 3 years and counting and still works like a champ.
