5 out of 5 eggsFollow up after 3.5 years.

Pros: Great cooling, Great price. Fan is still going strong.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: To bad they stopped making this cooler, one of the most unnoticed coolers out that really works well.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Cooler for 1156

Pros: Solid copper heatpipes, Delta high-performance fan, superb construction quality. Enzotech's copper machining/milling/lapping is second to none.

Cons: Didn't come with bracket for 1156 sockets.

Other Thoughts: Originally I purchased this cooler on another website for a socket 775 platform many years ago after reading an article stating this was the best cooler at that time. I was also going to pick up a more powerful Delta fan that pushed about 200CFM; twice as much as the stock 98CFM this fan does on max speed, though I never got around to it - though I may still. I still feel its an awesome cooler and I ended up building a socket 1156 platform instead and needed the adapter for it. Not a hassle, but it was difficult to find. Also used some MX-5 TIM instead of the Arctic Silver is comes with. I keep it on max in a Thermaltake Armor+ case attached to an i7-875K and it never breaches 23C idle and 33C under load.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cooler Still

Pros: A few notes
1) I have used this cooler as a multi-purpose solution on multiple systems.
2) Excellent Quality - Forged copper - not cast
3) Works well on AM2/AM3 1155/1156 and even med OC on 1366
4) Buy Adapter 1156-X (not Z) for use on 1155/1156 (might need to look elsewhere)
5) Fan is solid - However, I modified it to use a push and pull ( 2 fans - 2 Scythe Slip Stream Kaze SM1425SL12H
6) Solid rheostat fan controller

Cons: I cannot think of any off hand.
Except I wish it had copper fins or thicker fins /heat pipes
Not going to match the big boys of today.

Other Thoughts: Remember you will need to buy Adapter 1156-X for use 1155/1156LGA.
Otherwise, always excellent quality for Enzotech.
Check out their heatsinks.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome cooler!

Pros: Bought this 2+ years ago and didn't install on my AMD 965 BE processor until the stock one started failing. Man was I an idiot for not doing this sooner, for some reason I had convonced myself that this wasn't going to fit. Once my stock cooler was failing I wanted to give it one last shot and this thing is incredible. Instantly OCed my Phenom II quad core to 4.0 ghz without a sweat. The cpu temp rarely goes over 40 celsius! Would definitely recomment for AMD setups (not sure about Intel). I didn't even have this mounted correctly up until a couple weeks ago, have not had one issue with CPU since installing this cooler.

Cons: Not really a con but I bought this in Jan, 2010 and its the same exact price? I guess quality doesn't lose its value here.

This is a very large cpu cooler and quite heavy, make sure you have the room for it. This slots nicely in my HAF 932 case with plenty of room to spare (but this is a very large case.) On my motherboard the massive fan on top of the cooler hangs over my ram slots, this doesn't cause an issues for me because my airflow is really good and I don't have giant heat sinks on my ram.

5 out of 5 eggsFollowup

Pros: Good product - see earlier review.

Cons: I forgot to mention that I had to mod the hold down clip to fit the bracket on the motherboard for the AMD A6 CPU. I used a dremel to cut off a portion of the clip where it interfered with the bracket mounted to the motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsSemi-passive cooler for a 65W TDP CPU (just using the case fan)

Pros: Good performance.
Comes with artic silver thermal grease.
Now I have a spare 120mm fan.

I removed the fan and shroud and I am using this as a semi-passive cooler for an AMD A6-3620 (65W TPD) in Antec skeleton case (this case has a 250mm fan which I am running at the medium speed). Ran prime95 for 4+ hours with the CPU clocked to 2.5GHz and all four cores at 100%. The CPU steadied out at 47C (20C above ambient). Idles at 29C (2C above ambient).

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The lower heat sink is a pin style heat sink, which should give better perfomance than the competitor's finn style. Oddly, just the bottoms and sides of the heat pipes are in contact with the lower heat sink, the top of the heat pipes doesn't touch the lower heat sink. It seems that the perfomance could be improved if they did.

3 out of 5 eggsdecent.

Pros: it looks pretty cool
does not allow mobo to melt
has a guard over the fan

Cons: everything about what it should do.
AM2+ does not latch tightly.

Other Thoughts: atx mid size, phenom ii x4. intake in front, exhaust on top and back. keeps cpu at about 35C, full load for 24hours 49-50C. Re-installed stock heatsink that came with the cpu, it idles at 36C, and did not cost $45

i will never go with this brand again.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler. Poor compatibility labeling

Pros: I have no complaints about the fan and heatsink itself as it works very well in my AM2 machine. This fan is actually cooling my Phenom 9950 better than a similarly priced fan from a well known competitor that I previously had in it. In fact, this is the only reason I'm not giving it 3 eggs.

Cons: My main complaint is that this fan is being marketed as being 939 compatible. While the clip that comes with it will certainly clip on to a 939 bracket, this fan no longer comes with the correct bracket to mount the fan to a 939 processor. The standard 939 brackets that came on the motherboards stand too tall to allow this fan sit firmly against the processor and must use a custom bracket. At one point this bracket must have come with this fan as the manual refers to it as being included, but it has been replaced with a bracket for LGA 1366 instead. While some people may like this, I am not as I bought this specifically for my wife's 939 machine. Because of the lack of this bracket, I am having to swap out my current fan for this one, so that my wife will be able to use her PC again without having to wait any longer for Enzotech to send what should have been included in the box.

Other Thoughts: Do NOT buy for a 939 unless you are willing to wait even longer for Enzotech to ship you a bracket or Enzotech starts including the 939 bracket again. If you have an AM2 or newer AMD setup, this should work just fine unless you need to mount it with the pipes to the top or bottom, then you will need a special clip as well.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good fan

Pros: The Enzotech Extreme is a very good CPU fan. Before I used the OEM AMD CPU Fan and my CPU temp was always near 54 Celcius at Idle and get to 70 with heavy load... Now with the Enzotech my Idle temp are nearly 35 and 47 with heavy load. My case is a HTPC case (nMediaPC 5000) so that's the reason of my problem of temperature when you have a small volume.

Cons: Fan is little noisy at 2500 rpm but it's acceptable if you compare with my old OEM AMD Fan.

Other Thoughts: My Enzotech is tight in my case (the top of the grid fan is pressed to the top case cover) but If you have a nMediaPC 5000 you can buy the this CPU FAN. Sure.
