5 out of 5 eggsWorks well with Gigabyte GA-P45T-ES3G

Pros: Excellent heatsink, a supreme upgrade from the original when paired with the SUNON FN-HA40101V4-0000-C99 fan. Can easily get to 3.8+ GHz with a Wolfdale E84000. Ultimate stability depends on the particular CPU of course, but NB is now well within safe temps from 1333FSB to 1700FSB.

Without the fan, it does well for non overclockers, but you must have "flow through" airflow; front & back (intake & exhaust) fans required.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Orange mounting adapter works for this application.

Pushpins are smaller than holes in this particular board. Original pushpins too large to fit mounting bracket. My workaround consists of cutting off the tabs from the blue mounting adapter and putting them on the back of the MB, behind the holes for the pushpins giving them something to hold back against.

No more worries about future BGA failure in/under the NB. Yes, Intel specs rather high operating temps for the P45, but there's no need to stress the solder balls.

5 out of 5 eggsgood upgrade

Pros: One piece solid copper construction. Includes adapters for four different motherboard mountings. Also includes a 40 mm fan mount. Very easy to install, and it really brought my temperatures down as compared with the stock original motherboard heatsink.

Cons: None, it works and works well. As advertised.

Other Thoughts: I'm using a 40 mm Noctua fan mounted to this heatsink. Keeps my mobo chipset nice and cool. I'm using this on a SuperMicro H8SMI-2 motherboard. The smallest of the four included mounting adapters was the correct one in this application.

5 out of 5 eggsEffective

Pros: Very effective as a zero-maintenance replacement for the stock heatsink & fan on a Sans Digital HA-DAT-4ESPCIE 4-port SATA/RAID card (SiIicon Image 3134A chip). The heatsink is just the right height for this sort of use -- any taller and it would block more than one PCI slot. Pure copper -- good heat-transfer, but you have to be gentle to avoid bending fins. The optional fan-mount is handy for straightening or protecting them.

Cons: The springs on the included push-pins seem too weak to keep the heatsink from shifting if the PC is bumped. I re-used the pins from the card's old heatsink.

Other Thoughts: The plastic mounting brackets are 53.5mm, 59mm, and 67.4mm.

5 out of 5 eggsNice cooler

Pros: Bought this to replace the stock chip cooler on a Biostar
G41-M7 motherboard

Cooler seems to be well made like most things that Enzotech makes, base has a mirror finish

came with multiple mounting adapters and a mount for a 40mm fan but fan is not included with this kit, it is in another tho

Cons: Had to elongate the mounting to holes to match the
mother board no biggie so no eggs dropped

Other Thoughts: The cooler fits under the after market CPU cooler I am using
so no need for a fan

3 out of 5 eggsfits D945GCLF2

Pros: Fits northbridge hooks on Intel mini-itx D945GCLF2 (zalman and some others do NOT, since mobo only has two of the four possible hooks)

Attractive (IMHO) solid polished copper.

Cons: insufficient to cool northbridge on D945GCLF2 fanless (with arctic silver 5) - without a fan mobo would shut down after about 2 mins. (going fanless was the point of the purchase, and RMA would be silly for $20 item)

clip does not hold snugly to chip - it makes constant contact, but wobbles when touched and slides around when mobo is re-oriented from horizontal to vertical.

Other Thoughts: If your current northbridge is fanless this would presumably work well, and if you have other cooling that draws/blows across northbridge on a D945GCLF2 then it might be sufficient without fan. Since it's solid pure copper it is quite easy to bend - be cautious when attaching the fan-mount bracket.
