4 out of 5 eggsBasic, quiet cooler.

Pros: Easy install. Quiet. Looks okay.

Cons: Not cut out for high-TDP chips. personally I wouldn't count on it cooling much more than an i3, or a non-overclocked i5, Certainly not a 2011 chip, even if it's technically compatible.

Other Thoughts: Recommended.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

Pros: This is an awesome near silent cooler, I could not hear the fan. Kept my i3 very cool in my low profile case.

Cons: No AMD socket support. I would love a FM2 version of this for my HTPC.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't expect this to cool a LGA 2011 CPU very well...

2 out of 5 eggsNot Recommended

Pros: Looks good. A perfect low-profile solution if you are making a HTPC. Silent to moderate noise level.

Cons: Not effective at removing heat off the 2011 processors. On a 1155 socket this should do decent as long as you have room for the fan to breathe.

Other Thoughts: There are other Low-Profile fans available for the same price that do a better job at keeping your processor cool. This fan did not meet expectations on the 130W 2011 CPU's. Average temps were 60-65c Idle, 87 - 90c+ Full load. This is on stock clocks and not overclocked. I would not recommend any overclocking with the cooler.

2 out of 5 eggsSocket 2011 - Forget it

Pros: I needed a fan in a hurry and got this; a mistake. No doubt about it: the fan works, just not that well for 2011. It is reasonably quiet, has decent instructions, appears reasonably made, and perhaps would work OK for the other sockets it's advertised for.

Cons: This is advertised to handled a socket 2011, but it won't really. The heat sink connector area is smaller than the 2011 surface, so it doesn't pick up heat like you'd hope. Until I replaced it with a competing product, my CPU was running in the mid 60's C. Now it's running in the high 30's with forays into the low-40's. This cooler was also a pain to set up; the fan hold-down mechanism is too easy to dislodge from the heatsink sides.
