5 out of 5 eggs$17 is too much

Pros: I use these fans, not as good as noctua but not nearly bad enough to warrant paying extra for noctua/

I bought 3 of these for $10 each on sale. Thats is the price they should sell for. At $17 you should just pay a little more for noctua.

They blow a good amount of air without making a lot of noise. You can actually feel the air moving without hearing the noise. Most fans cant do that.

Cons: Sometimes makes a little bearing noise if mounted funny. No big deal.

Other Thoughts: Phanteks makes good stuff, just think that $17+ is too much for these fans. $15 would be fair, but they do go on sale for $10 at times.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet Power

Pros: Extremely quiet and moves a good amount of air. I can't hear it unless it spins over 70%, but all I hear is air movement. They are very dense and seem to be of very high quality.

Cons: The rubber feet make it a little thicker than other fans.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat fan

Pros: Moves a TON of air
Very sturdy fan
Comes with multiple connectors
Case is much cooler using this as a front intake (-7C ambient -3 CPU)

Cons: Noisy, if you expect silence, look elsewhere, or get a fan controller
Rubber mounting "tabs" are difficult to use in a tight space, I didnt use them on this fan but on a top mounted fan that was vibrating my case, they work great but require a bit of force to pull through the fan. I ended up breaking one but the other 3 did the job very well with 1 screw

Other Thoughts: very pleased overall. -1 egg for the rubber mount annoyance and the noise. but the fan sound is more a a deep whirrr sound from pushing so much air against my hdd cage. I will update after I install my fan controller this evening.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Fans Rivaling Noctua

Pros: Quality Construction, Truly Useful Accessories, Move Lots Of Air, Quiet!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My first thought was to go with a pair of Noctuas, but I bought two of these after about a week of research. I attached them in push/pull config to a Corsair H90. I had recently upgraded to an i7-4790K from an i5-4760(non-K) and wanted to water cool because I expect to OC at some point after the 4790 is burned in. I've had the H90 installed in my system for 9 months now and The highest temp recorded at load while playing playing any game on High or Ultra settings is 56C. I don't even hear the fans except as a whoosh of air when my CPU's are cranking. What's doubly impressive is that they exhaust the hot air produced by my GPU out of the case at the same time as cooling the H90's radiator. As an added bonus they are the closest match aesthetically to the Fractal Design 140MM exhaust fan that came with my Node 304 case. You won't go wrong with these.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fans, Great price!

Pros: Nice color scheme
Braided cables
Amazing dBA to CFM ratio
Crazy amount of accessories
Unique Anti-vibration "screws" included
Great value

Cons: Odd assortment of included screws (May or may not affect you.)

Other Thoughts: Ordered these to replace the two AF140L fans that were included as front intake fans in a Corsair 760T.

Upon opening the box, I realized these fans had incredible packaging. I've never used a Phantek before, but immediately I knew these fans screamed quality. Opening the box revealed a TON of accessories, and like the fan itself, everything had a nice braided cable (granted it is a rubbery-feeling type instead of the traditional cloth style, which means it bends slightly different, yet is still great.)

As I went to install the fans, I noticed the fans include some very small phillips head screws, and a white rubber "screw" which is supposed to cut back on possible vibration noise. Because the small screws and my AF140Ls screws wouldn't fit, I opted to try the new rubber ones, and to my surprise they hold up pretty good. My fans seem to be securely in place, and I didn't need a screwdriver. Although if you had ideas of hanging these fans from the top of a case, I don't think I would trust the rubber screws, I'd use the traditional screws instead.

As for performance, even when running at maximum RPM they stay quiet, in my scenario at ~800 RPM or so these fans are silent, I need to put my ear next to them to hear them. When I used to run the AF140Ls in my case, aside from the noise & clicking, my motherboard would hover around 38°C. With the Phanteks, not only is my PC running quieter, with the improved airflow my motherboard is running at 31°C, a 7°C/13°F drop. Impressive.

If you're looking for a PWM fan that has a balance of CFM to noise ratio, Phantek made an incredible contender. Noctua makes a great alternative to these, but I couldn't justify spending so much more money on fans that might have been slightly better, and (in my opinion) the ugliest fans on the market, which I would end up spending more money for paint to get the same exact look the Phanteks had in the first place.

5 out of 5 eggsPhantek 140mm PWM Fan

Pros: high quality 140mm for <$20.
white blades (matches system theme).
very quiet. at full power just makes a low, deep, "whoosh". still barely audible over other components.
moves quite a bit of air. noticeably more air pouring out of the back now vs the Corsair fan it replaced at same speeds.

Cons: ~$20. still haven't found a fan yet that really seems to me worth more than $10-12.

Other Thoughts: there are lots of "cheap" fans floating around and some get some awesome reviews around the web. i just don't want to be doing trial-and-error through multiples so i try to go with a known quality brand at a medium range price.
this one is a good choice.

4 out of 5 eggsSmooth sailing

Pros: - Looks good paired with the Logisys White LED Stick.
- Matches cases like Thermaltake Core and Fractal Node Series, Lian Li's, etc
- PWM working as it should. Useful to adjust fan-curve.
- Has rubber/foam feet at corners to remain stealthy.
- Doesn't have it's own LED's to throw anything off or prematurely die before the mechanical parts do.
- Price after rebate seemed reasonable for this size.

Cons: - Wish it came with it's own long mounting screws and bolts
- No discount on two.
- 5$ rebate?.. c'maaan.
- I like stickers. Phanteks has a cool logo. Y NO DECAL?

Srsly I tried hard to think of these, there's simply not much to gripe about.. Get it on sale, hope that the rebate comes in and enjoy life.

Other Thoughts: Take into consideration this review is after 1 month of ownership. Given my experience I would recommend this to anyone looking for a classy 140mm PWM fan.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Bearings?

Pros: Pwm and looks nice.

Cons: Bearings make a noise. The whole reason I bought this fan was the low rpm and promise of silence.

Other Thoughts: Contacted Phanteks. I'll try to update to see how it goes.

5 out of 5 eggsGood with Corsair H110 water cool

Pros: More or less perfect replacement fan for Corsair H110 water cooler. Screw holes line up perfectly. I obtained slightly better temperatures under full load, but the comparison is compromised by my having removed dust from the radiator. Noise not a problem.

Cons: None, or maybe a little pricy.

Other Thoughts: The original fan only lasted one year of 24/7 usage. I'm using this with CPU i7-4770K overclocked to 4.5 GHz.
