4 out of 5 eggsGreat Fan, Great Price

Pros: Quiet (although, not 20 db quiet)
Strong
Good-looking

Cons: They aren't nearly as quiet as I had hoped they'd be, but the sound they make is a gentle-sounding whoosh, being 140mm fans.

5 out of 5 eggsAnd We'll Do Another Round

Pros: I got 5 of these .... (See review below) well (2) LED and (3) non LED with the Enthoo Primo Case..... bought (3) LED and (2) non LED a month later and now 6 months later bought (1) LED and (5) non LED bringing the total in the Primo case to 16.

It's not the fastest rpm, it's not the biggest air mover, it's not the most silent at full rpm. What it does have is the best performance to noise ratio of any fan I have ever seen.

It knocks the crown off the Noc's head as can be seen in the Overclockersclub review beating it by by 3C even while the former king is spinning 25% faster. My other former fav was the Gentle Typhoons and while I'd still use those for high fpi radiator, high rpm applications, these are THE choice for noiseless (up to 850 rpm) and quiet (1200 rpm) applications on the 8 to 12 fpi rads which dominate the market today.

I run them via FanXpert2 from 325 to 850 rpm and in that range, even with case side panels off I actually have to look to tell if they are spinning.

Though I had just a 8.4C Delta T with 5 of them in push, this new purchase will add pull to the push on the rads and the one LED fan will go in the top three 5.25" slots for aesthetic appeal to go with the Reeven Six Eyes temp display. May add one more on the HD cages someday.

Cons: The Phanteks PCBs that let ya control up to 11 3-pin fans are still not available other than buying a case. Hopefully soon.

Saw a few peeps having bad experiences but noticed some were running the PWM version off 3 pin headers or the 3 pin fans off PWM headers. If ya have a problem, an e-mail to phanteksusa.com should bring quick resolution

The ones that come in the case don't come equipped the the rubber vibration isolators that the ya get on the ones in retail packaging but an e-mail to Phanteks Tech Support with this or any other problem promptly resulted in a brown truck at my door within a few days.

Other Thoughts: Once the PCBs become available as an accessory and I can snag a 3rd one....

Recommended Control Scheme for Water Cooled Builds:

MoBo CPU-1 Header => Pump No. 1
MoBo CPU-2 Header => Pump No. 2

MoBo CHA_1 Header =>PCB_1 => (6) Case Fans
MoBo CHA_2 Header =>PCB_2 => (6) 420 Rad Fans
MoBo CHA_3 Header =>PCB_3 => (4) 280 Rad Fans

3 out of 5 eggsKind of Loud & specs not 19db

Pros: Moves a lot of air. Heavy duty fan with 5_year warranty.

Cons: This Fan is thicker than 25mm. Fan barely fit in the front 140mm fan slot ( held by 4 bracket stays ) of my Fractal Design Core 3000 Case. Kind of noisy fan, not 19db.

Other Thoughts: Sad thing is, I read that it would cost me around $10 to return it!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The design on these fans are just awesome! I could tell after pulling them out of the packaging that they were quality made. They are very sturdy and strong. They are quit and move a lot of air. I use them for push and pull fans on my cpu radiator. I like the look of them as well! Great product.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Decent noise/performance when it works right.

Cons: Bought up about 5 of these based on the rave reviews thinking I'd finally found a decent 140mm fan. They turned out to be pretty awful. Vibrate so much on my H110 they gave the case a low "heartbeat" sort of sound. Spinning them with your fingers you can see why, they all wobble like crazy. One of them died in the first hour and their support never responded to me. Moving on to better fans and not looking back.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works really well. Helps keep the internals cool.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought 3 of these fans to help keep my computer and GPU cool. I have these coupled with Fractal R2 fans and I can honestly say that the Phanteks fans perform much better than my Fractal fans. My GPU's temp got reduced by 15 degrees while under load and I feel confident in stressing the computer out. Definetly a must buy for anyone who needs better airflow within their cases.

3 out of 5 eggsHorizontally mounted vibration

Pros: Nice packaging. Fan feels solid. Fan itself is totally quiet. Very long warranty. Good value for the $13 I paid.

Cons: Vibrates when placed horizontally, but not audible vibration. Whatever the design is that is causing the imbalance is likely be wobbling it's way into a very audible vibration over the course of a year or two of operation. No issues with horizontally mounted Noctua NF-S12A's. I suppose I can always claim warranty on the fan if the problem worsens. For $13 it isn't worth sending it back to Newegg, but I reverse the right to change my mind!

Cord is crazy long, I prefer a shorter cord with an optional included extension like Noctua.

5 out of 5 eggsTop of The Class

Pros: Have 10 of these installed in the Phanteks Enthoo case. Currently have 5 in push on 280+420 rads, two as front intake, 1 as rear exhaust and 2 as side exhaust..... adding 1 more for the 5.25" drive bay grille and had planned on adding 5 more in push for the rads as "the math" said I needed push / pull to handle 63% of the heat load for the twin 780s (25%OC) and 4.6Ghz 4770k

But I'm showing a Delta T (ambient to coolant) of 8.4C (my target w/ Push/Pull was 10C) with just the 5 fans so having a hard time "justifying" the additional expense.

The fans normally run at about 404 rpm and get up to 850 rpm when under load at which point they are still inaudible. If I disable the fan profile I can hear them at 1200 rpm but still quieter than any other box among the six here.

Cons: I really was looking for a reason to add the fans .... :(

Other Thoughts: Read the reviews at High Tech Legion and SilentPCReview-dot-com

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing. Buy this.

Pros: Virtually silent and moves a lot of air. Comes with anti vibration padding installed.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Worth the premium over some of the cheaper models available. You're getting silent operation for $1-2 more than the "cheap" alternatives.
