4 out of 5 eggsmuch needed

Pros: runs great. for $30 I'm not gonna complain about slight humming from the fan

Cons: big.check the depth on your case before you buy it barely fit in my raidmax Horus mx.it came with a spare set of metal.braces you a 2nd fan but no extra pads to keep the optional fan still.just a heads up.the paste included is a joke pick up a tube of artic 5 when you buy your thank me later for it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value & Asthetics

Pros: Huge.
Attractive LED.
Quiet.

Cons: There are no cons presently; I doubt expect that there will be.

Other Thoughts: As more than a few have stated, for the technically challenged the instructions/diagram could be better. I would, though, recommend this cooler to anyone.

2 out of 5 eggsMounting System Broken, it works

Pros: It works to and extent.

Cons: - The plastic on one of the mounting pins was crumbled in the box, I was able to zip tie it to the mobo though.
- Fan also appears to be dying, so that is great.

Other Thoughts: Hits 56c Idle on a 4690k

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says

Pros: Installed on new build with an Intel i6700K. Temp never budges from ambient, except when my son is gaming, and then, it's just a minimal rise.

Cons: None. Will revisit if noise issues arise within a few months as some others have claimed. For now, all's good.

4 out of 5 eggsFunctional, Pretty, But A Little Tricky

Pros: It looks absolutely gorgeous once installed and working. It's also incredibly quiet, to the point I was almost unsure it was even working (though obviously it is, since my processor hasn't burnt out.) An excellent bargain. The fan is easily removed for installation.

Cons: It's big. It's a little tricky to install, and I had to follow the advice of some others here and remove the fan to install it (but as noted above, the fan is easy to remove and re-attach.) It is VERY likely you will cut yourself a little trying to work the clips in so the heat sink will remain secure, so just be forewarned. The 'directions', such as they are, leave something to be desired - they're just vague diagrams on the box. Thankfully I had the reviews here to fall back on, or I'd have been lost.

Other Thoughts: I would absolutely recommend it, despite the minor quibbles I have with the installation and the guidance. For the price, I doubt I could have gotten much better.

2 out of 5 eggsLOOKS GREAT BUT NOT AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS

Pros: Worked for a few months before the noise level slowly became overwhelming. You could close the office door and still hear the fan in the hallway. Finally removed it to see if I could reduce the noise. I have had good success with WD-40 as a lubricant then blowing the fan off and removing all the oil possible especially from the blades as it makes it collect duct more rapidly. It worked well for about 1 day and the noise and wobble of the fan blade began again. Although it appears to be a good fan, it just simply make a lot of noise. The case has 6 fans in total. I removed one of the other fans that was new and in the side of the case. I could easily do without that fan in that position and it would easily replace the fan on the tower. I had to revise the fan by drilling a small hole in the fan to accommodate the clips. It was a four wire fan so it easily replaced the original. It was a good high quality fan so it should be fine on the tower. It works well, and so I used the original tower fan to go back in the side of the case. Strangely enough, it worked perfect in the side of the case and ran very quiet. However the fan that now was working on the tower began to display the same noises as the original fan had on the tower. It was placed, by the factory, so the fan blew into the radiator. I thought that this was possibly setting up a harmonic in the radiator. I removed the fan and placed it on the opposite side of the tower. I set it up so that it would draw air thru the tower rather than blow air into the tower. Problem solved !!! It appears the fan can handle the forces placed on the bearings better when it is used to draw air thru the tower apposed to blowing air thru the tower. It places a totally different load on the bearings and structure of the fan. I probably have had this problem with fans on a dozen of these type towers, and every one worked differently. Some fans worked better blowing air thru the tower, and others better pulling air thru the tower. You will need to experiment to find the best way for your system to be setup. In all cases, the tower keeps the processor well within the needed perimeters. A better quality fan would reduce the need to experiment in this manner.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Purchased this to replace an older noisy fan and heat sink. Its quiet, clean, and very nice looking. My CPU is running about 10 degrees cooler. I have had it running for about 2 weeks and no issues with it at all. it went on about as well as can be expected considering its size.

Cons: Its HUGE. Its not really a con if you have a large case but beware that it is very large and will not fit smaller machines.

Other Thoughts: The only issue I really ran into is I was installing it without taking my whole system apart. Because of the size of the fan and heat sink I had a hard time getting it on the mother board because of where my mother board sits in the case. If you are building a machine or can pull the mother board out of the case, it is much easier to put it on before putting it in the case. I'm a glutton for punishment though...
