DEEPCOOL Gabriel CPU Cooler
Four Heatpipes - Low Profile - HTPC SFF Cooler - 120mm PWM Slim and Silent Fan

DEEPCOOL

Low-Profile Design

Based on the concept of designing a small form factor cooler for Mini ITX boards, the overall dimensions of Gabriel are 120 x 120 x 60mm, with a 20mm-deep fan included. The low-profile design ensures the widest compatibility.

DEEPCOOL

Four Heatpipes & Nickel Plating

Gabriel consists of a copper base with four soldered copper heatpipes and aluminum fins. The full set of heatsink is nickel-plated in order to inhibit oxidization and ensure a long lifespan.

DEEPCOOL

Silent PWM Fan

Gabriel is equipped with a high performance 120mm cooling fan, which can push 61.93CFM airflow to cool down the heatsink. This slim fan is PWM controlled, running at 900-1800 ± 10% RPM. However, it is very quiet - at 18.2dBA - due to its extraordinary dynamic balance.

DEEPCOOL

Highly Durable Fan Cable

The fan cable is made of PTFE (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene), which withstands high temperatures and heavy duty usage. Two pieces of rubber cable ties are attached to route the fan cable to keep everything in place.

DEEPCOOL

CPU Socket Compatibility

With multiple clips, Gabriel can support all mainstream Mini ITX processors including Intel LGA1150 / 1155 / 1156 and AMD FM2 / FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2.

5 out of 5 eggsFits into Mini-ITX Case

Pros: Fits into a Cooler Master 130 Mini-ITX case with a Mini-ITX motherboard. Easy to install.

Cons: The fan attachment clips are pretty flimsy, but work fine.

Other Thoughts: I am using this in a Mini-ITX build. Space was paramount and this heatsink/fan combo barely fits, but it does!
If you are using this on a Mini-ITX motherboard, then make sure to buy all your RAM now... The heatsink totally goes over both DIMM slots, so you will not be able to install any RAM after the heatsink is in place. I think the 120mm fan is a little overboard, I am using it on a 65W low power Intel CPU, so my temperature is below 40C at all times.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cooling Power in a Small(ish) Package

Pros: Immediately reduced my CPU temp from a range of 35-36 degrees at idle with stock AMD cooler, to a positively Frigid 27 degrees Celsius at idle.

Cons: Mounting system is a little funny, one needs have a hand on either side of the motherboard during the mounting process, makes it hard to do anything but install while motherboard is vertical, making hard to achieve even spreading of thermal paste while seating on the cpu.

Other Thoughts: I have a micro atx motherboard, with top mounted power supply in my case. This cooler interfered with my rear exhaust fan, which I had to reinstall on the outside of my case. Other than that, geesum my cpu temp is down to 25 degrees celsius while I am writing this review, with ambient room temp of 22.2 degrees (72 farenheit).

1 out of 5 eggsPoor performance

Pros: Very nice packaging....

Cons: It only makes contact with the very middle of the processor. Reinstalled it twice. the bottom must be deformed not level to give contact. idle 45c underload is 70c+ that is unacceptable

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME MINI ITX COOLER

Pros: 60mm in height
Fits inside Cooler Master Elite 130
Excellent cooling
Comes in really nice packaging

Cons: Mainly user error - but the wire clips to keep the fan in place were confusing at first

Other Thoughts: With a mini itx motherboard - BE SURE TO GET LOW PROFILE RAM. My G Skill Ares has about 1-2mm between the top of the RAM and the heatsink. I would recommend not getting RAM any taller than 32mm

As a first time builder, water cooling gave me a scary "don't do it" feeling - especially after seeing mixed reviews on Newegg about the top selling water coolers and reading that some (rarely) do leak. I needed an aftermarket air cooler with potential to do some minor overclocking that would still fit my mini itx case (Cooler Master Elite 130). I haven't tested overclocking on my i5 4690k yet, but I've been extremely happy with this product so far.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Cooler

Pros: Decent cooler for i7 2600K @ 3.8 (All are max temps out of all cores)
Idle :34
Normal/light: 44
Max 79
Quiet during normal use, gets a little more noisy when gaming.
I'd say a good cooler for everyday use.
Very easy to install and comes with all that was needed.
Looks good in my case (LanBoy Air Blue)
Does a very good job of dropping temps after gaming session.

Cons: Gets a little noisy under load
OC to 4.0 and temps reach 83 which is in the "still safe" range, but not great.
Open air case with plenty of fans.
It's not the greatest for gaming or pushing the cpu (OC).
It's the only fan I can hear in the case, but not too loud or annoying.

Other Thoughts: I am fairly happy with this fan for what it is. Low Profile, quiet under normal circumstances, and no tricks or gimmicks to install.
My corsair H80i started to leak after 2 years of use and almost set fire to my R9 290X and I am now hesitant to go back to water cooling. Something about burning down the house.
I have plenty of ventilation and fans to create good air flow, but this little guy still seems to struggle to keep temps down, but does keep them well within acceptable ranges.
I would recommend this to any one who wants a low profile cooler better than stock.
I didn't want to go with a monstrous tower cooler or water cooler even though they are much better coolers. I like having a nice open and organized case.

5 out of 5 eggsThis Cooler has real cooling power

Pros: Easy to install. great for Low profile cooling. Cools like the big boys, Great cooling for the price. Great for Air Overclocking. Fan Blades can be removed and replaced as needed for cleaning and painting.

Cons: Not really hot on the Blue fan color, but I painted it Red. Fan is fast under full load but not too loud but you can hear it.

Other Thoughts: When I first got the cooler it was new and I didn't expect much from it especially that is was so low profile. Then once the results came in we were floored. It beat our other Low profile coolers and left them in the dust with our 4770K. Very Awesome Design and the blades are removable.
