"The Butterfly Effect" gets a whole new meaning here: The BTF90 from ZEROtherm is an elegant joining of form and function. The butterfly shaped fins provide more than 4400cm² of surface area for cooling. That combined with the 8 copper heatpipes provide over 150W of cooling power.
The included mounting brackets make this an almost universal cooling system for Intel and AMD CPUs. Intel CPUs using an LGA 775 socket and AMD processors using the 754, 939 and AM2 sockets will all get a cooling rush.
The 92mm fan runs between 750 and 2500rpm, usually staying under 1500rpm for an ultra quiet performance. The housing free design and mag-lev bearing also contribute to the silence. And the fan has 2 red LEDs to give it sinister glow.

Pros: Using 50% speed, included thermal grease, stock E6750, inside an Antec P182 case, guessing the ambient temp is 75F: the fan is essentially inaudible from one meter away and my E6750 idles at 20-22C according to speedfan and I've never seen it go past 30C, although I have yet to stress test it.
At full speed the fan produces a low hum, but I've never had to max out the fan.
Fan has a 4-pin connector so you can throttle its speed via software or bios. This is important, because the fan's hum may be annoying if constantly run at full speed.
Copper base is shiny and smooth, but not quite a mirror finish. Lots of copper fins for better cooling. Entire apparatus can be rotated 90 degrees.
Cons: The mounting bracket that goes behind the motherboard is tricky to align, but overall installation is non-scary for Intel CPUs. You'll need a long-neck flathead screwdriver.
There's no fan guard, so you'll have to route cables away or get a case with good cable management.
I've read that transparent fans are more brittle than plain black ones.
Other Thoughts: The red LED is not optional, but my case doesn't have a window anyway.
I suppose its size and weight could be a con, but it wouldn't work as well otherwise. Fits just fine inside a P182 case and there's plenty of clearance on a MSI FR Neo2 motherboard.
The guy that said there isn't enough included thermal grease is clearly using way too much. No wonder his temps are high--excess grease acts as an insulator.

Pros: Awesome CPU cooler. Cooled my overclocked Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.00GHz to 27C idle and 36C loaded. The ambient temperature was 25C. Very quiet to me.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Highly recommended. I use it with arctic silver 5 thermal compound.

Pros: purchased to cool intel p4 3.06ghz in wife's pink computer. easy/quick install. does great job cooling. looks great in case w/ red case fans.
Cons: a couple fins were a little bent when i took it out of the box, but that was an easy fix w/ needle nose plyers. no eggs off.

Good for a while

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: It cools nicely. Very quiet. Pretty to look at in a case with a clear side window.
Cons: Mounting is a major pain. It has a separate plate that goes on the underside of the motherboard so you pretty much have to take the motherboard out to install it. If you ever start trouble shooting any serious computer issues, this can be a major bite in the shorts.
Mine worked for just over 2 years and then started causing all sorts of intermittant problems, like failure to post, no video, intermittand video freezing, and random reboots. It took me 3 weeks to isolate the troubles to this thing.
Other Thoughts: It only has a 2 year warranty and of course it failed a couple weeks after that. I just bought a new Thermaltake cooler that has a SIX year warranty and was cheaper to boot. Plus easier to mount. No more Zerotherms for me.

Pros: Pretty and it works!
Cons: AM2 bracket tough to get on while in case.
Other Thoughts: Used this to replace a Mars cooler that could'nt keep up on my AM2 6400 Black Box (125 Watt, worked great on a 95 Watt processor) lowered my idle temp by 20C. I have yet to get my processor up to 45C in the last 10 months. Idles at 2C below room temp???
