Keep Intel-based system cool with the CF900 from ZEROtherm. The 92mm fan sits on top of a heat sink with 4-line of heatpipes and more than 2,360cm² of cooling area. The all-copper construction maximizes thermal efficiency. This gives you 130W of cooling power, enough to let you crank your game to the highest levels without worry about overheating your weaponry!

The screw-down mounting system ensures solid contact with the CPU. It also means that you don't have to worry about it popping off when you've got your speakers cranked and everything is vibrating. The horizontal fan mount lets the cooler work even more efficiently with newer cases that have dedicated ducts to the outside to bring in cool air.

An integrated temperature sensor controls the fan motor and keeps it running between 800 and 2300rpm, usually staying under 1500rpm for an extremely quiet setup. The optimized fin design and custom housing direct airflow for maximum cooling and minimal noise.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation The ZEROtherm CF900 features a polished copper base and 4-line heatpipe for maximized heat transfer and an optimized air flow design for superior heat dissipation.
  • newegg 92mm Fan with Speed Control The ZEROtherm CF900 is equipped with a 92mm transparent fan with an automatic fan speed control via a temperature sensor for exceptional cooling and quietness.
  • newegg Compatible with LGA 775 Compatible with the LGA 775 platform, the ZEROtherm CF900 supports a wide range of Celeron D, Pentium 4, Pentium D, Pentium Extreme Edition as well as the latest Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme CPUs.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Relieved

Pros: Easy to install, assuming you know what you're doing.
Extremely well designed for heat dissipation
Dropped the internal temp of my box about 8 Degrees F (S775 Intel P4 3.2 HT)

Cons: Heatpipes may cause issues on certain boards with high rising capacitors near CPU socket

Double-Sided tape on underside of mounting gear was tacky(pardon the pun)

Other Thoughts: Was scared were others going with the no name, but the 4 egg average caught my eye.

4 out of 5 eggsawesome!

Pros: slow, and quiet when needed, running about 10 degrees cooler than with stock fan, idle, not under stress 8-15 under stress.. easy to install, comes with fair thermal paste. id suggest artic silver of course, but doesnt matter too much.

Cons: kind of big, and real quiet, quiet is also a con because im a little scared its off every once in a while lol.

Other Thoughts: it would be great if it came with artic silver 5 thermal paste. this stuff looks kind of cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsVery high quality. Solid mounting.

Pros: Copper heat sink. Quiet operation. 4 pin fan for bios control of fan speed. Very solid and easy to install mounting design. Resonable size to cooling ratio.

Cons: You will have to remove the motherboard to install, not necessarily a con (if building a new system). If you have ever messed with an Intel heatsink you should appreciate this design.

Other Thoughts: Will not work with nvidia 790i boards.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: it's actually pretty quiet and the blue led matches all my case led. matches perfectly with my maximus forumla board as it is copper all around.

Cons: could of been a bit cheaper since i've seen it cheaper elsewhere and installation is quite a hassle since you have to disconnect all devices and unscrew the Mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsquiet

Pros: extremely quiet and very cool compared to OEM intel HS/FN from a quad core extreme. almost silent. mounts are tight. very well made and easy to install. fit well on my full size ATX board. led is not overbearing.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: follow instructions on placement of heat pipes. spool up is a little slow but under 5 seconds so temps don't peak. did not use supplied thermal compound so no comment on it.

5 out of 5 eggsWay better than the stock fan

Pros: Slim. Used in my slim HTPC case, no problem. Blue LED lights the case.Very quiet.

Cons: None so far. Could be cheaper? Paid$32.

Other Thoughts: Used with ArcSilver5.
Q8200. Idle 26C(1100rpm), room temperature 25C. Around 10C lower than stock fan+ArcSilver5.
Not tried full load yet but in very rare case my wife will put the cpu at full load.

5 out of 5 eggsZEROtherm CF900

Pros: Immediate lowered my temps 10C. Totally worth the purchase!

Cons: It covers 1 of 4 memory slots on my Gigabyte board. Luckily I am running 32-bit OS so I can do without the memory slot.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cooler for the price

Pros: I didnt bother using the included thermal compound and instead opted for Arctic Silver 5. Install was fairly easy and after overclocking my Q6600 to 3ghz with the bsel mod the temps in full load dont go past 60c

Cons: Installed on a Dell Inspirion 530 and the heatpipes came very close to the memory slots but thankfully does not block or touch them.

Other Thoughts: I did not need to install the included mounting bracket. Maybe since my motherboard was a dell and already included hardware built in? All I did was remove the stock heatsink and fan and then installed this one in its place and the screws went right into the motherboard no problem.
