Keep Intel based system cool with the CF800 from ZEROtherm. The 92mm fan sits on top of a heat sink with 4 nickel plated copper heatpipes and 2,360cm² of aluminum cooling fins. This gives you 130W of cooling power, enough to let you game to your heart's content and not worry about heat issues.

The screw-down mounting system ensures solid contact with the CPU. It also means that you don't have to worry about it popping off when you've got your speakers cranked and everything is vibrating. The horizontal fan mount lets the cooler work even more efficiently with newer cases that have dedicated ducts to the outside to bring in cool air.

An integrated temperature sensor controls the fan motor and keeps it running between 800 and 2300rpm, usually staying under 1500rpm for an extremely quiet setup. The optimized fin design and custom housing direct airflow for maximum cooling and minimal noise.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation The ZEROtherm CF800 features a polished copper base and 4-line heatpipe for maximized heat transfer and an optimized air flow design for superior heat dissipation.
  • newegg 92mm Fan with Speed Control The ZEROtherm CF800 is equipped with a 92mm transparent fan with an automatic fan speed control via a temperature sensor for exceptional cooling and quietness.

3 out of 5 eggsDon't recommend for upgrade

Pros: Small, pretty quiet.

Cons: Worst than OEM cooler... didn't adjust fan speed according to temperature like it's supposed to.

Other Thoughts: Only reason to buy this is if you lost your oem fan and you want something small still

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent quality.

Pros: Had for almost three years now- still runs silent and cools my Core 2 Duo better then anything I've seen.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The best cooler you can get for $30.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for Hackintosh

Pros: I recently built a new system for W7, so I decided to turn my XPS 420 into a Hackintosh - for some reason the stock CPU fan ran at full speed all the time, which made it sound like a jet taking off. I found this item, hooked it up today and the "on-board" heat sensor/fan control works great - plus this thing is very quiet even at full speed. Thermal paste is as good as any I have used.

Cons: None so far but will update if anything new happens.

Other Thoughts: Ordered it on12/22 - got it 12/23! Even at Christmas time, Newegg has fast shipping!

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than I thought

Pros: Fits perfectly on my board - Intel DX48BT2 - doesn't come anywhere near the RAM slots. Very easy to install, sturdy mounting. It's keeping my Q9550 at 28-29 degrees C. at idle.

Cannot complain at all about the performace for the price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: After reading the reviews I had lower expectations of this product. But I have nothing but good things to say about it.

The LED on mine doesn't work. I'm actually happy it doesn't work.

Intel DX48BT2
Q9550
4Gb OCZ ram @ 1333mhz.
1 Tb WD Caviar Black x 2
EVGA 9800 GTX
Corsair 750W PSU

5 out of 5 eggsDoes The Job

Pros: Cools a Q8400 a little better than the stock heatsink. Full load temps dropped from ~60C to ~52C. Full load fan speed ~1100-RPM (a little headroom?).

Cons: ?

Other Thoughts: The auto-fan speed control on my motherboard is terrible. The CPU fan would sometimes spin at full speed for a minute or so for no reason (CPU ~25C), then, would spin slow when the temperature increased(?). With the CF800, I don't have to depend on the MB BIOS to adjust fan speed.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler but...

Pros: Solid construction. Heavy and quiet. Kept my Dual core at 37-40 degrees C under full load playing Fallout 3. 30-28 degrees when idle. A lot better than the stock intel cooler. Assembly was pretty straight forward and you need to mount the cooler so the heat pipes are not facing up or down.

Cons: Heat pipes protrude out from the cooler too far which may cause some issues with onboard components located around or near the CPU socket. For example my old Abit IP35E board had no problem with having this cooler on it but my new ASUS P5QL board does have an issue as the heat pipes block 2 of the 4 RAM slots. This may be more of an issue with how the boards were built but The metal nuts on the backplate strip very easily so if you tighten the screws down too tight it is near impossible to get the heat sink off as the nuts on the backplate just spin whenever you turn the screws. 3 of 4 of my screws are stuck now.

Other Thoughts: It's a great cooler for what it does. I've since contacted zerotherm support with my issues and they have agreed to send me a replacement cooler if I cannot get this one off without breaking it. If you do need a new backplate they will send you one you just have to pay $5 for shipping which I thought was nice. Just remember don't go overly tight with the thing and make sure the area around your CPU socket is pretty clear of heatsinks and capacitors and this cooler will do you good.

2 out of 5 eggs65c 17? cpu temp!

Pros: Low profile, easy install, quiet.

Cons: My cpu is hot (P4 3.8) and I have enough thermal on it. I have never had a processor run this hot before. Need a good, powerful heatsink cooler. Very disappointing!

Other Thoughts: The speed was @ 16-1700rpm...not enough. Sorry I bought it!
