The ZEROtherm CoolMaxx 2000 VGA cooler is designed to keep your high-end Nvidia and ATi based video card running cool even during long, intense gaming sessions. The copper base, aluminum fin and copper heatpipe with large fin surface provides maximum thermal efficiency.

The smooth base on the heatsink guarantees a great surface contact area, improving heat transference. And since keeping the memory chips cool is as important as it is for the GPU there are 8 aluminum heat sinks for them.

The 80mm long life sleeve bearing fan provides sufficient airflow for your graphics chips to keep the graphics card running robustly and operating at its peak performance. With the manual bundled fan speed controller, you can conveniently control the fan speed to meet the system requirements.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation The copper base, aluminum fin and copper heatpipe maximizes heat transfer and the optimized air flow design provides superior heat dissipation.
  • newegg 80mm Fan with Manual Speed Control The ZEROtherm CoolMaxx 2000 VGA cooler is equipped with an 80mm long life sleeve bearing fan with manual fan speed controller for exceptional cooling and quietness.
  • newegg Memory Heatsinks Included The included high-performance thermal grease and 8pcs of aluminum memory heatsinks provide enhanced heat dissipation performance to keep the memory cool.

5 out of 5 eggsamazing cooling power

Pros: very sleek in design, and works great. went from 88*C to 61*C max load on my ATI 4870. fan is very VERY quiet with a green LED to accent it. easy to install, unless you forget to put the actual screws on the back mount like SOMEBODY did. lol

Cons: only came with 8 mem heatsinks and stick pads. only have 8 mem chips, but assuming something were to happen to one of the heatsinks or sticky pads, i was a little disappointed with that. nothing to lose an egg over tho.
horrible thermal compound to work with(artic silver is the only compound i usually use, decided to give this stuff a shot, bad idea)

Other Thoughts: If it werent for the minor screw up with putting the wrong screws on the back plate, it would have taken me a total of about 15 min from taking the screws off the old hs/f, to putting on this one. took me a little over 25 with a break after putting on the mem heatsinks.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Heat Reduction Compared to Stock Cooler

Pros: I own a Radeon HD 4870. After not using my machine for a few months I turned it back on and began gaming again. It wasn't until I checked my system errors in my event log that I learned my machine was shutting off over and over again due to high GPU temperatures. I installed a GPU Meter and realized it was at 78c idle and up to 125c during intense usage. I cleaned out the heat sink and tried again but it didn't change the temp. I reapplied better thermal paste but that didn't do the trick either.

I finally purchased this Coolmaxx 2000 VGA Cooler and from the time I turned it on to right now as I type this message it has brought down my temp significantly. My idle state is now at 49c and my temp during intense usage is 71c. That is incredible! I couldn't believe how much of a difference it makes. So much cooler, so much quieter, and so much better for my machine. It is loads happier.

Cons: Although the new Cooler came with a 4 pin to 3 pin adapter, the Radeon HD 4870 actually has a 2 pin plug on it. Technically, I wouldn't consider this 100% compatible, considering I had to plug the Cooler into my mobo instead of directly to the graphics card. I had to use the 4p to 3p adapter and attach it to my system board where my system fan was plugged in and buy a 4LP to 3 pin converter so I could plug my system fan into my power supply. It cost me an extra five bucks, and this may not be needed for others, but if you own the Radeon HD 4870, just know you won't be plugging this new Cooler directly into the graphics card.

4 out of 5 eggsITS GREEN

Pros: AWESOME in every way looks, performance, installation, and u get heat sinks for the memory chips

Cons: THE SPECS CHART DIDNT SAY IT WAS GREEN, i was upset cause im building a red system out of a Foxxconn Flaming blade GTI MB, Intel core i7 2.66ghz, 6Gb of mushkin thriple channel DDR3, Red led Fatality 1 550w mod power supply and a clear acrylic case with all red case fans and even got windows Vista RED... now i got this big GREEN light on my Nvidia 9600 GT

Other Thoughts: Nvidia colors are green so in away im ok with it still miffed that the manufacturer and newegg failed to state its color..... then it was lost in the mail so i got it late but thats UPS issue

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy with this purchase!!

Pros: I was truly amazed by how well this has performed. It dropped my idle temps from 90c to 45c on my HIS 1GB Model 4870. Load temps from 115+ (with my stock fan going crazy) to never above 80c (that's with 4+ hours of Mass Effect 2 everything max). Virtually Silent. I do believe though my case has a lot to do with these resorts also.

Cons: It didn't come with a BJ. or a power adapter to allow me to connect to the board itself (4 pin I believe)

Other Thoughts: Its a thing of beauty in my case. I was a little shocked by how small it was. I also own the Zerotherm NV200 and that thing is epically massive. It was my first time installing anything like this before and it was fairly easy. Stressful but easy. Again, Newegg rocks like always!!!

5 out of 5 eggsA lot better than any stock cooler

Pros: This card cooled down my 5850 from 40idle and 85 under full load to 45 idle and 61 under full load and this is when it is overclock to 1ghz/1.25ghz while my stock cooler was under stock settings.

Cons: May need a 4 to 3 pin connecter if you want to connect the fan to your graphics card.

Other Thoughts: Did everything I wanted it to do

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooling

Pros: 20 degree drop from stock Asus EAH4850. Enough said. You can't beat that. Plus, it comes with a fan control. not to mention, it is super quiet. Even at load it is much quieter than the stock. Big difference.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've been wanting to change out my GPU cooler since day one. I wish I hadn't waited so long. This has been great.
