Other Thoughts: this little 20.00 piece is helping me extend the life of a dying 8800gtx that cost $560.00. Small price to pay.

Cooling PCI/PCIE cards

Pros: The obvious pros of this is that it can cool down your expansion cards and does it nicely. It covers the entire cards service and fits snug. I have mine cooling my nVidia 9800 GT and it sits right alongside it. The fan has a slider to set the speed which gives you a lot of options as to how fast you want the fans spinning. I keep mine about 1/4 of the way up. If you're in for a long night of gaming or rendering then turn this puppy up. The blue LEDs are a plus and aren't overly bright since it sits low in the case. I've put this into two seperate computers and have had no problems. It has lasted the three years I've had it.

Cons: Their are a few cons that mostly have to do with design. The card takes up a PCI slot. While this doesn't make much of a difference to me it is something to consider if you may need it later. It is powered by a seperate cable and not the motherboard which makes sense to get the amount of power it needs to spin that fast. But as I said this can be a issue because it takes up a card slot and a power plug. This doesn't tend to work well with SLI configuration due to space restrictions between cards.

Other Thoughts: This is a nice fan and can be quiet helpful with overclocking a graphics card if you need extra cooling. Just be aware of its needs and your own.

Pros: Cheep

provides needed airflow, keeping computer from over heating.

Cons: horrible engineering on the plug, broke quickly had to solder back into place
