With the speed at which computer components now run, there is a tremendous amount of heat generated inside a PC. While case fans help cool the system, they generally only provide horizontal airflow. With that in mind, Vantec introduces the Spectrum Fan Card. Utilizing any available PCI slot, the Spectrum Fan Card serves a dual purpose of directly cooling any PCI/AGP cards surrounding it as well as providing better air circulation with two adjustable fans. Made from UV sensitive material and featuring built-in UV LED lights, the Vantec Spectrum Fan Card lights up your case while cooling it down.

  • newegg PCI Card Styled Fan Array With dual 70mm ball bearing fans with adjustable speeds at 2400~4000RPM on a PCI card styled board, the Vantec Spectrum Fan Card can be installed in any available PCI slot, providing up to 29.54 CFM airflow in vertical direction for increased air circulation and lower case temperature.
  • newegg Light Up Your System With built-in ultra bright UV LED lights, the Vantec Spectrum Fan Card emits mystic blue light for eye-catching fun and enhanced ambience, perfect for cases with side see-through window.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works for air flow.

Pros: It does what it should, moves air.

Cons: The way video cards are made today. But that's nothing to do with this item.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Its tiny and doesnt take up much room. cools my 2 6970's by a few degrees.

Cons: Doesnt sit that great in the pci slot, crooked a little.

Other Thoughts: If you dont have it plugged in all the way in the Molex connector it makes a horrible rattling noise. I thought at first the fan was defective, after realizing it and plugging it in correctly the fan quieted down and dont even notice the sound on high setting.

4 out of 5 eggsCool airflow

Pros: Adjustable fan speed, easy install, inexpensive

Cons: High rpm even at lowest setting. Not the highest quality fans so they are a little noisy at the low setting. Low airflow at low speeds.

Other Thoughts: At least as good as I expected for what I paid. If you want high quality fans that are silent operation then expect to buy several and pay over $100 for the set.

This card is perfect for cooling a video card. It replaced a noisy fan built into a video card heatsink. I think this was a good purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsDim LED's

Pros: Over a year old and still pushes air like a champ. The fan control also still works perfectly.

Cons: The LED's are so dim you can hardly see them.when i first put this thing in the case it was very bright for quite a while.cant say for sure when they started to die.it seems they just dimmed over time.

Other Thoughts: 5 eggs for an over all great product. I wish my led's were still bright as the sun but that is a small price to pay for a piece of hardware that shows no signs of slowing down on its intended duties. The fans CAN be a little on the loud side but that only happens when u have the control on max.The control is a slider so u can really find a sweet spot of tolerable noise and cooling efficiency.I plan on buying one of these for my next build.Maybe the nice folks at Vantec will figure out a way to squeeze a little more life outa these led's.that would be fantastic!! =)

5 out of 5 eggsGood Purchase.

Pros: Works well. Keeps my graphics card at 34-35 Celsius on normal run. Has not exceeded more that 40 degrees Celsius under full load. Not nearly as loud as previous reviews have brought it out to be. Seriously, it is a relatively high RPM fan. What do you expect it to sound like?

Cons: Did not come with a cowbell or a remote??? Seriously this is a great purchase for the buck. BUY ONE NOW!!!

Other Thoughts: Kazaam was a horrible movie.

5 out of 5 eggsPrice for performance is great

Pros: This blower actually is a very good blower it has very good air flow for two little fans with cool effects as well, it's not noisy at all as well & yes this card can be placed in any pci slot even if you have only one pci slot open in between two graphics cards, this pci cooler is also one of the best on the market right now tryed & tested many myself & this one is the best, like my title says price for performance is great..

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great buy & good price!!

2 out of 5 eggsVantec fails

Pros: Not alot- on highest settings it does not sound like a jet engine or a vacumm like some have claimed, its noticeable but will not ruin the show your watching on the TV with its noise level. It does blow decent air, just the wrong way.

Cons: backwards and non reversable—if you have a mid range mobo this card creates a problem. If your PCI lay out is x16 slot with 2 PCI slots inbetween and a x8 on the end, your not going to get this card to work. Both PCI-e slots must be x16 to work. A larger MOBO is a good idea as well.

Other Thoughts: I feel this was designed specifically for fanless GPU cards. Its really such a low grade item to have too have such an expensive MOBO required. I would consider buying high performance fans or a more expensive tower with better air flow than purchasing this fan card. It's remedy is for specific builds and not at all for every case-to-case scenario.

4 out of 5 eggsIt is loud but I'm happy!

Pros: Easy install, looks great (though consider the LEDs will add little light to your case since they are pointing down and this will be sitting low on your mobo). The switch on the back makes it easy to change the fan speed.

Cons: It is loud! Anything beyond the lowest fan speed has a noticeable noise. If you have a quiet room/station/whatev you will near it. I really only do graphic design so the low setting is sufficient for me.

Other Thoughts: I like it, but was a little dissapointed the blue LEDs didn't add much more light to my case. Still, I am very happy and like the added airflow.

4 out of 5 eggsThe Price for Preformance is Nosiy

Pros: -cools my PCI slot graphics card (which only relies on a heatsink) about 10 degrees.
-over all temperature of my system is much lower
-love the blue lights (however some may say they are too bright and i wouldn't keep it in direct view if you have see thru case)
-adjustable speed control in back = dont have to worry about controlling it elsewhere

Cons: -LOUD: This fan is very audible on on the lowest setting and becomes increasingly loud when at higher ones
I can't stress enough that if you intend to run this at max speed that it will sound like a full-sized vacuum cleaner in insise your Desktop.
-inner fan did not work at first: i had to play with it a bit and spin it myself before it was functional. problem solved now tho

Other Thoughts: -im giving this a 4 out of 5 because of its outstanding performance. while it may be annoyingly loud: it gets the job done. in fact, it probably overcompensates so much that you could open up your case and cool the room your in.
