  • newegg High Reliability The ball bearing fan promises up to 50,000 hours of operating time for excellent reliability.

4 out of 5 eggsYou CAN lower RPMs

Pros: -sucks lots of air out of case so it is great exhaust fan
-moves lots of air even at 40% speed (modded)
-metal plate can be flipped to accommodate your needs
-solid case construction

Cons: -very loud at max rpm
-cable could be longer
-flimsy in pci slot, but won't fall out
-only 4 pin connector: no pwm control (you can mod it,ill explain below)

Other Thoughts: to lower RPMSs from 12V to 5V for much quieter yet still efficient cooling, simply cut out the black wire out of the 4 pin plastic cover WITH pin attached. remove other unused pins. now place the black wire to last pin opposite of red wire. so if red wire is at pin #1, skip two pins and insert black wire into slot for pin #4. this way u will achieve lower rpm when plugged into power supply because 12V-7V=5V. now insert into 4 pin on your PSU and enjoy much quieter fan :)

2 out of 5 eggsSystem blower

Pros: None

Cons: This thing is super loud, and I have no idea why. It doesn't actually blow much air at all. In the year that I have owned it, I have totally regretted purchasing this product. It's weak as a system blower, and loud for a system blower (which is saying a lot, since they are usually fairly noisy.)

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The fan's niche fit into an empty PCI express slot allows for extra cooling when all other fan mounts are taken up.

Cons: Hangs a bit loose in the PCI express slot, in my case at least, I use the HAF 912. I extended the end of the fan's metal mount so that it no longer held loose brushing up against my motherboard.

BY FAR the biggest con is the very loud clicking that this fan started to produce after a year of usage. This clicking is so loud and distracting, it is akin to a child clacking their tongue repeatedly. Cleaning the fan (not an easy task) did not rid of the clicking.

3 out of 5 eggsOK but too loud

Pros: These fans work well in smaller cases.

Cons: Unfortunately they are too loud so I stopped using them, definitely not for anyone who is concerned about noise levels.

1 out of 5 eggsI got Burned

Pros: GPU cooler, Good Idea

Cons: Poor Construction. Motor spins at different speeds depending on orientation. If intake is up, as it would be on 99% of PC cases (Mounted below the GPU card) the motor barely spins, if it is oriented vertically, it speeds up. If oriented upside down, it slowly spins up to a good volume. Also, audible clicking coming from motor. Newegg approved the RMA, but it's MORE than the initial cost to ship it back. I got burned

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Inexpensive
Moves lots of air
Lowers case temperatures
Easy to install

Cons: Not quiet, although I can't hear it above the sound of the other fans in my case (but that is another story)

Other Thoughts: This is super easy to install if you have a spare molex connector.

This type of fan is especially good for cards that vent hot air into the case. Put it a couple slots below the GPU, and bam, -5 degrees Celsius. ymmv

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Compact
Pushes a fair amount of air for its size
Easy to install

Cons: Hooks in nicely to the case, but the fan itself (the black portions) seems a bit flimsy.
A little added noise (but it is gentle and not distracting over the other fans).

Other Thoughts: I don't have a great case, and was concerned that my video card was going to overheat. The video card fan would run at a pretty high speed, avoiding dangerous temperatures, but not by much. So, I bought this fan.

I've been pleased. Install was easy, it fit well, and it pumping out more air than before. I'm not sure if it is making a significant difference, but I think it has improved things. And-- at the low price, it was well worth it instead of buying a new case.

5 out of 5 eggsWhen you absolutely gotta have another exhaust fan

Pros: 1. Price / performance.
2. Reliable - mines been running over a year - no issues.
3. Peace of mind.

Cons: nope

Other Thoughts: Don't expect this to make the difference between you cracking 5Ghz and not - it's insurance and peace of mind knowing that if every other fan FAILS< this thing is dumping all the hot air in my case overboard 2-3 times minute..
