4 out of 5 eggsHuge but it works

Pros: Went from stock to this, and it made such an improvement. My idle temp dropped from ~45C to 35C. Fan runs quiet, even during heavy gaming.

Cons: Setting this thing up took a while. Attaching the fan to the heatsink was pretty difficult and the instructions didn't make it any easier. It was also very close to the RAM, but didn't make contact.

Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom II x6 1090t CPU

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: See my previous review.

Cons: See my previous review.

Other Thoughts: I opened up my other AMD computer for normal maintenance, and I noticed that the CPU cooler mount is rotated 90 degrees compared to the computer that I purchased this fan for. Look at the pictures of this CPU cooler, and pictures of your motherboard, and you will be able to determine which orientation you will be able to get out of this cooler: fan up/down, or fan forward/rear. It is entirely dependent on your motherboard mounts. I was mistaken to say in my previous review that the only orientation is fan up/down. If I install this cooler on my other computer, the only orientation will be fan forward/rear for that computer.

I still really like how this cooler looks, and works.

5 out of 5 eggsFits in our case

Pros: This 130W cpu cooler fits in our Apevia X-Dreamer3-PK computer case. We bought it because high ambient temperatures were overheating her cpu. We stress tested it after installation (We used artic siver 5) with a space heater, and it overheated us before it overheated the cpu.

Cons: On an AMD motherboard, you have two mounting options:

Point the fan up.
Point the fan down.

Our side case fan supplies outside air directly into the cpu fan, so I have no problems with our setup, but I would rather have the option to point the cpu cooler toward our rear exhaust fan. That option is only available when the cooler is used on an Intel motherboard.

The base plate does not fully cover our cpu; however, I believe that our cpu's silicon is fully covered by the cpu cooler. Be careful to center the cpu cooler perfectly on your cpu, or you will be asking for trouble.

Other Thoughts: Our temperatures hover close to the programed PID loop setpoint. I can't tell you how cold this cooler will get your CPU, because I can't change the setpoint on my particular motherboard. (My next motherboard WILL have an adjustable setpoint.) I have a 3 pin fan terminal on my motherboard, and my motherboard controls it just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW! THIS is the MOST QUIET THING EVER!

Pros: Fairly easy setup for my AMD processor 3800 X2 35W. This one is 1000% better than LOGISYS MC2001IE model. The rubber padding on the fan touching the heatsink makes it extra quiet. I was fearing the metal hooks would make a noise, not so. This sets a new standard for quiet.

Cons: cons, not for this review.

Other Thoughts: probably about 5" tall, almost 4" wide at the widest. And 3 1/2" deep. no problem for installing. I have it running on a top deck speed pc test bench and the DVD drive is louder than the heatsink. If you have a quiet system you might kind of hear it if you put your head right up to it. Maybe.

4 out of 5 eggsInteresting new cooler era

Pros: Impressive look for the cost. Blue was a good choice!

Cons: Large, heavy. Check your case dimensions.

Other Thoughts: Could have better idle temps. Not for OCing. Cooler designs are slightly different than last time I installed one... (LGA 775)
