4 out of 5 eggsEfficient Cooler for the Price but. . . .

Pros: Cools well. Easy installation. Very affordable. Works exactly as advertised.

Cons: 3 pin connector means no speed control and this fan runs at over 2300 RPM all the time. So it is noisy! This should come as no surprise - the product description clearly indicates the specs as: 3 pin connector, 2200±10% RPM, and 30 dBA noise level.

Other Thoughts: So I guess the only real question is, "Why did I order it in the first place?". Answer - I was trying to be frugal. Now I have a noisy computer!! The COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO is only a few dollars more! So I will be ordering one to replace this thing ASAP!! If you want a quiet system, this cooler is NOT for you!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Replacement Fan!

Pros: Very quiet fan compared to the stock AMD Fan. Runs at a much faster RPM to produce cooler CPU speeds. Easier to install, and remove as compared to the stock AMD Fan as well.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: A great buy for a good price. I would highly recommend getting this drive to replace the AMD fan.

1 out of 5 eggsVery loud

Pros: It does run a lot cooler than my stock heat sink.

Cons: It is very loud.

Other Thoughts: The main reason why I got a new heat sink was to make my computer significantly quieter. This thing runs just as loud as the stock heat sink.

1 out of 5 eggsIt hums like a jet engine.

Pros: It keeps the CPU very cool
Cheap

Cons: It is freaking loud. I don't see how everyone else says its quiet. The whole reason I got it was to silence the noise in my computer, but this thing is just as loud as the stock heat sink, if not louder. I'm not sure if I got a defective one, but I'm very disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Cooler for the $

Pros: Dropped 15C or more compared to the stock cooler on an AMD FM2 A8-5600K. Amazing performance for the money, and it's pretty good looking. Alot of copper for this price, with full copper contact linked to the copper pipes, with an aluminum heatsink, and a very quiet fan. The stock heatsink was incredibly pathetic, and this thing looks amazing!

Cons: Just 3-pin connector, so no control, and it seems kinda delicate, but what do you expect for $25-$30? Really no cons at all.

Other Thoughts: Put this cooler in at the same time I switched out the (2) 120mm stock fans with Cougars in an Antec New Solution NSK2480 mATX Desktop case used as a HTPC. Not sure how much those Cougs are helping this little guy out, so the drastic drop in temps makes sense. Fits with more than an inch of clearance in this case. The PC is crammed in my AV stand, so not the best environment, so this cooler is doing the job well. Has the easy clip for AMD processors.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a great heat sink and the fan is actually quiet. Although it is rated at 30.1 dBA, I would say it's actually lower. I have my desktop on all the time, it never sleeps. It does the job.

Cons: My plan was to buy this heatsink and replace the fan with a more powerful one. But it seems like that can't be done since the base where the fan is attached does not have holes. The fan is just held in place by some clips. Even if I take the original fan off and try to install another 92mm fan, the holes of the new fan would be located half on half off the heatsink. If you look at the picture, you can see that the holes are not located in a "regular" location.

5 out of 5 eggsA good cheap fan

Pros: good and cheap just the right size for my AS-Rock FM2-A75-Pro4 micro atx motherboard, leaves just enough space for 1st RAM slot
keeps my AMD-A10-5800 below 50C most of the time can't even pust it up to 60C under full load at 3.8GHz doing burn test on all 4 cores, fit perfectly on socket FM2

Cons: Fan a little offset from side duct of micro ATX case, could have come with more thermal grease

Other Thoughts: good for the price, and for most micro ATX motherboards, if doing extreme overclocking would upgrade to fan with pure copper heatsink though

5 out of 5 eggsworks great!

Pros: this fan is great for my fx-4100. I was able to overclock the thing to almost 4.6. (stock 3.6) silent compared to the rest of the fans in my case.

Cons: none that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend overclocking as far as I did with this fan. it is not specifically intended for such a purpose. the only reason that I was able to was because I have a boatload of fans in my case. very good heatsink and fan

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good

Pros: Keeps my Phenom 955 95w version cool and quite, 48°C gaming, 34°C surfing.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I initially had purchased the 2 pipe ST200 also rated at 95w which did do the job. It ran hotter then the oem heatsink. Don't buy that one.
The Logisys website and the packaging rate the 400 ST at 125w, I'm not sure about that based on my experience from the 200 ST.
I almost dropped another $100 for a new psu thinking the screaming fan noise under stress was coming from it but it was the oem heatsink. My gpu budget just went up $100.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Cool. I'm happy.

Pros: Performance is amazing. It's blue, so goes well with my Gigabyte board.

Cons: The Thermal paste it comes with is trash, buy some aftermarket substance.
Can be bought for a lower price on other sites when in stock.

Other Thoughts: The fan is almost completely silent even under heavy load. Keeps my AMD FX-8120 @ 3.5ghz steady 24hrs at full load of 42*C and avg of 31*C. (Understand, that's under heavy/full load of 75% or more on 8-cores.) While most coolers in this price range or even higher, will get louder then hells gates under full load, this cooler stays very quiet, and keeps the cooling to a max.

Overall, i'm very pleased. It's quiet, cool and looks great with my Gigabyte board and HD 6950. Could not be happier.
