5 out of 5 eggsExceeded Expectation

Pros: I had an ASRock mobo OC'ed quite high and this actually did a much better job of keeping the NB cool than I expected. I had a problem with regular thermal shut-downs due to the NB overheating but this solved the problem. I do use a high quality thermal paste with my heatsinks as well. 5 stars for exceeding expectations.

4 out of 5 eggsFunctions great

Pros: Small, has a fan.

Cons: a little taller than what I needed with the mounting option provided.

Other Thoughts: I picked this up to replace the heat sink and fan on an old MSI K8Neo2 platinum mother board's chip that burnt out. Mounting was a little tricky since it is so tall and the video card was catching it. I ended up mounting this with a 45* rotation so it looks like a diamond instead of a sqare with the edges of the mother board. This gave me just enough clearance for the video card to not touch the cooler. Once I got it mounted in this way, it works great.

3 out of 5 eggsDescent cost efffective

Pros: Not expensive. A good starting point.

Cons: Strongly doubt that the fan moves 6.97 CFM; consider buying another in expensive 40 mm fan (deeper/thicker), obviously the old fasteners are history. Screws just go between the fins, the " screw hole " is not tapped (threaded), all three of the heat sink I ordered had a very irregular (not flat) surface that was to be in contact with the Chip. With these corrections - it would be an excellent product.

Other Thoughts: General information- copper conducts (conductivity) heat more efficiently than Aluminum; Aluminum dissipates heat (emissivity) more efficiently than Copper - look it up - that why high quality CPU heat sink typically have copper base and aluminum fins, best of both worlds so to speak.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent for price

Pros: *Nice packaging
*blue color fan matches my system(not red one as pictured)
*two different hookups for power (4 pin molex, and 3 pin for mobo connections)
*Fan spins silent and smooth
*Dropped my north bridge temps. 15c. compared to stock fanless hunk of aluminum.

Cons: *Paint all over the bottom of the heatsink(not effective for heat transfer)
*Not copper it, is aluminum which the listing doesn't state, this is important information as per my experience with heatsinks copper seems to transfer heat much better, where as aluminum is kind of random as to how and where it transfers heat. (ie: cpu heat sinks most of which are copper based).
*Newegg shipped it in a cardboard envelope, really? Newegg? I know the "EGGSAVER" shipping is cheap but come on throw it in a box with some protection.

Other Thoughts: Over all the fan does its job, I had used my oscillating tool and a 2000 grit sanding pad to sand all the paint off the bottom of the heatsink, evenly as to make it as flush as possible. This helped with the heat transfer issue a lot of you have been having. I also think that the thermo paste they include is junk, but I tried it and its not too shabby.
On my ASROCK 990fx board with a 8120 FX 8 core @4.5 and my visiontek 7970 3 gig I noticed a drop of 15c over the thick stock fanless cooler, with the foam pads on it (I did reuse one of the foam pads that was boardering the main chip to help cool the voltage regulators, I used a razor blade to peel it off).
The only problem I encountered was with installing it, rather than pulling my motherboard, I used pliers and pulled the factory push pins out yes they broke but I didnt have to pull the mobo out, and I didn't reuse them anyway. Mounting it was a breeze the mounting slides made it so easy and the push pins went right in without issu

2 out of 5 eggsRuns hotter than stock NB heatsink

Pros: -Looks cool

Cons: -I have tried everything to get this thing to run cooler than my stock heat sink, and it will not. I have taken it apart and refitted it 20 times, tried 3 different thermal compounds. I have tried everything I know and it still runs hotter than stock. It doesn't run excessively hot only a few degrees Celsius but, it was still a downgrade.

Other Thoughts: I am sure there are better northbridge coolers out there than this one. I am not to happy with it =-/

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well but has potential for mounting problems

Pros: It does the job it is supposed to with no problems.

Cons: I expected a red fan as pictured. Mine was blue. Looks a bit funny as all of the other components on my motherboard are red. Wish newegg would update their picture or present a color choice when ordering.

Other Thoughts: I was initially concerned with the adjustable mounting brackets but after utilizing the stabilizing foam from the stock heatsink and have no further concerns. The brackets provide a snug fit and the stock stabilizing foam dispels my concerns of the heatsink shifting from its installed position.

4 out of 5 eggsokay

Pros: looks nice
does a great job

Cons: the mounting could be better, it doesn't feel like it is really in place.
also, i had to separate a little bit more the push pins since they were just not holding to the motherboard

Other Thoughts: i used arctic silver instead of the included thermal paste and my fx4100 oced at 4.4, my nb temp is 45 under load.

5 out of 5 eggsGood little cooler

Pros: This thing works great. I got it to use on a Dell PERC 6I I removed from server duty to place in a desktop. Keeps the card cooler than in the dell chassis.

Cons: Only thing I can come up with is it still having a 4-pin molex.

Other Thoughts: Great little fan/HS for misc chips.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Budget Cooling solution

Pros: Easy to install and did drop my NB temp by 5-10 degrees, depending on ambient temperature. Don't forget the thermal compound! Highly recommend.

5 out of 5 eggsAs expected

Pros: It's cheap. It works. Replaced a cheapo stock NB heatsink. With the stock it would burn your finger if you held it on it for more than 3 secs. With this one, with Arctic Silver Ceramique applied between it's cool to the touch. Time to OC, finally.

Cons: I don't have an IR thermometer, so no idk what the actual before / after temps are.

Other Thoughts: Not too difficult to install for myself, on a NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a NB (N68C-S UCC).
