4 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

Pros: The fan is fairly quiet and it seems to move a decent amount of air. It should work well for the typical mid tower cases like the one I have.

Cons: The plastic seems a bit on the cheap side. I'm not sure how durable it will be.

3 out of 5 eggsQuiet, but not for gaming

Pros: Quiet, easy to install, cheap

Cons: Doesn't cool Phenom II X4, big, get what you paid for

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace my stock CPU cooler and was suprised at how easy it was to install (didn't have to remove the MOBO) and how quiet it was. After a half hour of gaming my temps went from 43C to 68C. I quickly shut it down. After letting it rest for 6 hours, I turned it back on only to find the temps were now at a static 70C (it did go back down to 63C, but it took a while). I'm thinking it's the problem using a solid block of metal for the heatsink; I did expect a 120mm fan to cool better than stock though. Anyway, if you have a stock computer not for gaming, this would probably be an excellent upgrade. If you have a gaming/high-end computer system, might want to avoid this one. I'll probably get the EVO like I was going to originally. Just stinks I had to waste $16 to figure that out :-/

3 out of 5 eggsBrilliant idea flawed execution

Pros: The idea is genius...pair a simple heatsink with a large very quiet fan. If your cpu is a 65w cpu or less this fan would be perfect and much quieter than stock, since temps are not your biggest issue in fm2 While the fan is wide its not very tall.

Cons: The design is simply inadequate for cpus in the 89-95w class. My fx-8100 was running at 68c on this fan which is way too hot. It runs cooler but louder on the stock. Furthermore the fan is 3 pin , when all post am2 motherboards use 4 pin smartfans. Thats not smart.
Also the clip is hard to install and remove.

Other Thoughts: This same design with a bit more copper in the heatsink and a 4 pin fan with better rpm and more air blowing power would be ideal for am3+ cpus in the 95-125w class. I would hope logisys keeps trying because this design could be a fantastic product with uprated components and a redesigned clip.

1 out of 5 eggsLooks good, that's it

Pros: Looks pretty cool, giant 120mm fan blows quiet.

Cons: Installing this heatsink was a challenge, since the bracket had to be installed really tightly. When I did get it installed, the motherboard was bowed a little, so I got worried. And when I tested it, the idle temperature varied from 60-65C. I had to undo the mounting from the underside of the motherboard just to get the heatsink off. I'm lucky I didn't break anything. Spend a few more dollars to get yourself a much better heatsink.

Other Thoughts: It could've been a faulty application of thermal paste (it didn't come pre-applied to the heatsink), but I wasn't going to try it again with a new application, I didn't want to put that much stress on the mobo again.

4 out of 5 eggsSimple, good price, but not remarkable.

Pros: Looks neater than stock cooler. Dropped idle temp by 2 degrees Celsius. Cheap price. Shape keeps it from interfering with standard ram. Quiet at full blast. Instalation for my AM3 stock bracket took 30 seconds. I just popped the fan off the heat sink, hooked one end of the clip, and then pushed the other end down on the other side. Then just pop the fan back on. Simple. And for anyone wondering, this fan blows cool air from the case down onto the heat sink, just like most standard cpu fans. Not hot air from the heat sink out into the case as some seemed to think?

Cons: None really, other than it is not much of an improvement from the stock cooler (AMD Phenom II x 4 "810") I would not trust this for any kind of overclock. As this is just on my backup/storage computer, I'm not too worried about it. Plugged it into Molex to keep it on blast.

Other Thoughts: If you're going to game, or overclock, spend more money.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Fan, great price

Pros: Works well and the price was outstanding. It included everything I needed.

Cons: No instructions. It took quite a bit of messing about and force to lock it onto the bracket.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: This fan works great with my motherboard (MSI 760GM-E51 FX) and CPU (AMD Athlon II X2 240e). I had no problems installing it. It's much quieter than the stock fan that came with the CPU.

Cons: none.
