2 out of 5 eggsFragile push pins

Pros: Very affordable, cools well once installed

Cons: Push pins are very fragile and break easily. I installed this on my Core i3 and everything seemed OK. I opened the system up a few months later and the heatsink was completely loose - 3 of the 4 push pins were broken. Fortunately, I had the stock i3 cooler still around and used those to replace the broken ones. The plastic quality was obviously much better on the Intel heatsink push pins.

3 out of 5 eggscheap and decent for the price

Pros: so so.

Cons: fan gets in way of memory modules.

Other Thoughts: would not buy again since it touch the fan assembly touches the memory modules, but then again I could put my square fans on it. though that would make the price higher. just get a cm hyper 212.

5 out of 5 eggsCool Cooler

Pros: Easy to mount. Big but fits in case. Keeps CPU 1-5 degrees centigrade over the motherboard temp. I have never seen my CPU go over 40 degrees, and my house is hot this time of year.

Cons: Might not be able to use in a small case.

Other Thoughts: Quiet and as big as I can really use in my case. I really like this cooler.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: none

Cons: I have an intel i7 socket 115 and I could not get the clips to fit in the holes on my motherboard which unfortunately led to the clip ends breaking when i would insert them into the holes, Also the clips weren;t long enough to begin with. could only get one side in and no matter what the other side clips were to short to fit. Extremely cheaply made. And took ten days to ship.

4 out of 5 eggsIt worked.

Pros: Old cooler started at 42C, and quickly rose to 50C under light load. Didn't even try a heavy load. This cooler starts at 42C and rises to 45C with a 50% load. I'll never break the 62C CPU limit. Fan RPMs show 1600 at this load. Noise from the machine fans is identical to what it was with old cooler. CPU is 125 watt Phenom II.

Cons: It was a cool install. My computer and myself had artic silver all over us before it was done. My ASUS AM3 motherboard mounting brackets were a thousandth or two different from what the clips on this cooler expected. I pulled the clips down just enough to imagine that there was maybe some small permanent deformaton in them that I couldn't really see on second look. Then it snapped right into place!

Other Thoughts: I'd say buy one, but they ran out!

4 out of 5 eggsWhisper quiet

Pros: I bought this because the fan that came with my Intel CPU was impossibly loud. This fit the bill due to excellent sound ratings and a mounting system that looked like it could be installed without removing my motherboard. Both turned out to be correct. I'm happy.

Cons: The directions were pretty bad. It took me a few minutes to figure out the installation. During the installation, the plastic tips bent outward a couple of times. I had to straighten them and start over. Not a huge deal, but worth 1 egg.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: A fan shroud that doesnt look bad.
Low low price
Way better than stock cooling.

Cons: Thermal paste was messed up when i received it.
Was kinda awkward to install with mobo in case. I could see how doing it a second time would be easier.

Other Thoughts: For the price, i cant complain. Im happy with it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: Believe I got this 6+ months ago because i was concerned by the stock AMD A10 5800k fan when I was monitor the APU's temp during a CS:GO gaming session. Anyway I wanted a cheap solution that wasn't hard to install and this was it!

- it has no back plate so can install on mobo already fastened in(at least I did)

- works with modern AMD and intel chips

- it keeps my AMD APU cool, it runs at a working temperature(in the summer here) about 30c and when I max tested it with software I don't believe it went over 50c where as the stock fan kept climbing...

- fits in an atx mid tower and i'm sure smaller(I have a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153)

To compare its size to the stock fan I had

http://s18.postimg.org/jucjlw449/P1010890.jpg

Also a side note, coming from someone who's never installed a aftermarket heat-sink before, the mounting bracket for AMD at least I had to screw upwards I believe before setting it to the motherboard which was a tad confusing but anyway it comes with a piece of paper illustrating what to do.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Is nice, get it!

5 out of 5 eggsOverall Pleased with this Purchase

Pros: 1. Has a decent airflow which keeps cpu temps down.
2. Doesn't wobble my flimsy case like stock heatsinks tend to.
3. Has a competitive price per performance compared to higher end name brands.

Cons: 1. Is not quiet in my case in particular. Easily heard over 4 other fans and a box fan that cools an overheated room.
2. Nitpicking here, but that blue color seems out of place in my case...

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm pleased with this purchase. For a hsf of this price, I'm surprised with the performance for as long as I've had it. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. I'll most definitely take cooling over noise any day, but the fact that it is so easily heard over so many other noises might shy some away from this product. But then again I might just have gotten a unit with a simple whining problem and it doesn't bother me because I can just as well go and get another if it fails completely.

My System:

Intel Core i7 920
Corsair sport 4GB @ 1600MT/s
Asus P6t SE mobo
Rosewill CHALLENGER case
MSI GeForce GT 640 4GB GDDR3
LG GH24NS95 DVD Burner

5 out of 5 eggscan't go wrong with this

Pros: Large fan .
good looking
very fast heat transfer heat pipes
pretty easy install

Cons: none at all

Other Thoughts: i used this for my FX6100 and it rocks.. idle around 30C and max around 38C.. this thing can take a Core i7 3570k or a fx 8350 overclock no problem ..
