5 out of 5 eggsgood enough for work

Pros: I bought these for work, which is in a garage environment. They aren't extremely loud to become a annoyance to others. They do produce some of those low notes when listening to drum and bass, hip hop and dubstep. If you're looking for more rumble, you may want to look into something with a subwoofer. Either way, these teamed up with the Samsung S4, is a pretty good combo whether its streaming Pandora, bassdrive.com, Youtube or MP3s. wires are long enough to stretch from one side of my tool box to the other.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Wish I found these in black.

4 out of 5 eggsJBL

Pros: Decent looking, Lights don't blind you at night, conveniently small, light weight, and good sound for a 2.0, 12w speaker. much better then my old 1w, 2.0 usb powered speakers. Nice rubber feet hold them in place while you turn the volume.

Cons: About the only problem I can find is the volume knob is small, and hard to get a whole of, I would have preferred a bigger one, easier too grab and more volume control accuracy. Second problem is it says made in China on the back. Maybe too much bass at lower volumes too.

Other Thoughts: I like them though. I heard others talking about the bass isn't good. I don't have a clue what there talking about. It's a 12w per channel 2.0 system, spend $400 more and get the heavy wall pounding bass if that's what you want. The bass is excellent I think, for gaming, and my music.

5 out of 5 eggsI love these, unfortunatly

Pros: clean, deep bass for a 2.0 set
not bad to look at
small
clean sound at all ranges, even when you crank them up full blast

Cons: They do not defy physical law and therefore occupy space.

Other Thoughts: I got these as a gift after I bought my iMac. I initally hated the idea of having speakers on my desk, as I like a clean workspace. Well, I gave them a try before returning them and they are amazing! Such clean sound across the full range regardless of volume.

3 out of 5 eggsNo suprises

Pros: Very clear highs and decent midrange. The musical detail is good for a rather inexpensive set of 2.0 speakers. These speakers will even get fairly loud for their size and they do not distort until close to maximum volume.

Cons: Disappointing bass response. The worst part is how the volume cuts out in the presence of lower frequency bass, even at lower volume levels. The sound also has a rather plasticy resonance to it. The volume knob is poorly designed as it is rather difficult to grip it with its slick, tapered shape.

Other Thoughts: Overall, not a terrible speaker set. These speakers do not have a very good bang for the buck ratio though and I simply would not recommend these for anyone who likes bass intensive music.

4 out of 5 eggsLittle Speakers, Lotta Power

Pros: Non-square shape, rich silver color, two cords (one for each speaker) in addition to the outlet cord, lightweight.

Cons: Little skimpy on the bass output, if you know what to look for. Being a big fan of rich tones and full-volumned sounds, this speaker set packs a punch in its small packaging, but as mentioned, a little chintzy on the bass/MHz end.

Another con: what is it with these mfcs making computer speakers and the need for a single green dot indicator light? How about putting a n indicator light around the speaker, in an aurora-like ring rather than a concentrated spot of light? Bad to use at night if you're trying to sleep, cuddle, or enjoy the output of Luther or Marvin :).

Other Thoughts: I'd purchase these speakers again.

3 out of 5 eggsA little bit disappointed

Pros: These speakers are nice and small.

The sound is acceptable, but there is some hiss.

Cons: They don't have near the sound quality as some decent Logitech speakers that I have.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all.

Pros: Small and lightweight. Decent sound. I think they have fixed the stiff on/off/volume control issue.

Cons: Pretty ugly. Certainly a bit weak on the bass.

Other Thoughts: I bought these to have decent sound and to eliminate the need for a sub. As such, they get the job done.
