5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Better then laptop sounds

Cons: but not exactly subwoofer quality

Other Thoughts: still giving this thing 5 stars because for the price.. i only needed it for general sound usage from a really old PC.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't listen to bad reviews

Pros: These speakers are fine. They do exactly what they are supposed to do, which is provide a very, very cheap solution to get sound on a PC. And really, for basic bleeps and bloops and watching youtube junk, they are FINE.

These are NOT meant for any kind of QUALITY audio reproduction. If you are pairing these with a blu-ray drive or a high end graphics card for gaming, do yourself a favor and forgo purchasing these because all you are going to do is add to the already numerous ridiculously uninformed reviews.

I use these as "FREE" included speakers for my customer's builds if they don't request a high-end speaker system or sound card. That is ALL any speakers from $1-25 are good for!

Cons: THEY ARE $10 SPEAKERS! How can there be cons? Maybe if they come DOA you can drop 1 egg. But seriously, cons? If they exploded into tiny daggers and blinded you for life, then yes...you can give it < 3 eggs. Barring something terrible like that happening, no whining!

Other Thoughts: Anyone who puts "high understanding" down and then complains about any of the following issues should have their review writing ability revoked by Newegg:

1) Clicking, popping, or scrolling noises when viewing websites/word processing documents/etc:
-Guess what? It's not the speakers. It's because you are most likely using on-board audio (if you bought these speakers for use with a high end audio card you should be shot). Feedback on on-board audio is COMMON and can be remedied for less that $50 by buying a sound card.

2) Muffled/non-perfect sound:
-THEY ARE $10 SPEAKERS!!!! What are you expecting, Klipsch 7.1 surround? Seriously, how can you buy these and not know before hand they aren't going to sound AMAZING?

3) Noise when cell phone rings/checks messages/etc:
Really? You expect these $10 speakers to be electromagnetically shielded properly, if at all? REALLY?!?

Anyone that takes off eggs for the above issues should just stop writing review

Pros: Low Price=), Good audio Quality.

Cons: Makes odd noise when you load internet videos or anything else on the web.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap speakers with average sound.

Cons: Speakers are noticeably muffled, although you will eventually not notice it anymore. Cables are short for entertainment centers.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a big fan of sound when it comes to computers, so I bought these with my new build as Newegg was having a great sale on these.

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: $12.99.
Small.
Non-imaginary.

Cons: Crackles at high volume.
Volume is painfully low, forcing you to turn up the volume. See first con.
Cables are short, not that it really matters.

Other Thoughts: If I wanted awesome sound, I would pay an awesome price.

Still worth it, imo.

4 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Very cheap, works, compact. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, I find that very useful.

Cons: Very muffled sound, but that's what I get for going with some cheap speakers. They are quite sub par speakers, something you would just get in order to have sound.

Other Thoughts: Only reason it got a 4 star was because of price or else it would have been a 3 star from me.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, VERY cheap at ten dollars. They won't blow you away but they work just fine for how much you pay and aren't horrible as some reviews make them out to be. I use them for a PC I have in my bedroom I play music on while I work out and play movies on while I fall asleep. For minimal activity they will get the job done.

Cons: Comes with a wall plug which, while standard, makes me miss the older days of when speakers were powered by the motherboard. No bass what so ever.

Other Thoughts: Buy these if you need some cheapies

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the price

Pros: I got these as a gift, they sound like average desktop speakers.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If you need average desktop speakers then these are as good as any that are out there.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap Speakers

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Cell Phones cause horrible feedback in the office. Buy them if you’d like to drive a co-worker insane, its about the only good thing about these speakers. Don’t be cheap like I did, spend 25 bucks and get something better.

Other Thoughts: Make a great bear-trap!

5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I expected

Pros: 10 bucks and free shipping. They produce sound.

Cons: Electrical interference is major, keep cell phones away.

Other Thoughts: I love people that buy the cheapest part available and then are shocked that it doesn't compare to more expensive parts. It works as advertised, anything else is bonus and at these prices you don't find bonuses often. Be thankful if you get free shipping.

Ew. They do work though.

They work, and sound decent for the price.
They look quite good, and are built substantially.
