Pros: Cheap and looks nice, speakers are pretty good.

Cons: EXTREMELY annoying squeal/high pitch buzz from the controller. After checking with some audiophile friends, a few sites, and moving everything around. It seems the control box has a bad transistor/something wrong with the PSU. As the sound emits directly from the area where the power comes in.

Other Thoughts: Good speakers and base for the price; the squeal is horrendous though. It stops when I plug in my headphones but resumes as soon as they're unplugged. It isn't electromagnetic interference as all the speakers I've had are unshielded and the box squeals no matter what I've tried(different rooms, outlets, speakers in or out)

Pros: Amazing. The sound quality is amazing on these, I've used them in gaming and listening to music, they both worked wonderfully.

Pros: The most important thing you want from speakers is good sound, and these speakers mostly deliver. The bass is rich, and I was even able to distinguish between mid-range bitrate audio vs. lossless (something I was previously not able to do with my old speakers very well). But to be honest, I bought these speakers because A) they were in my budget, and B) the color scheme matches my PC Case, a Rosewill Redbone U3

Cons: The control box is the biggest problem. It has a nice bass knob in addition to the power/volume knob, but no treble knob. This wouldn't be a problem if the treble was any good. When playing audio from sources such as streaming video that doesn't have any equalizer options, the treble sounds tinny and cheap. But the problems don't end there.

The control box is super lightweight, and when I reach to adjust the volume, it will slide very easily. I've laid it horizontally, but it has still slid right off my desk a few times accidentally,

By far the most glaring problem is the headphone jack. The system directs the bulk of the electricity it draws to the blue power light (it is BLINDING), and not to the headphones. The volume needs to be turned all the way up to 100% in order to faintly hear anything through my Sony MDR7502 headphones, and you can imagine what happens when I unplug them (hint: the speakers blare at all 38W of volume). Not cool.

Overall just poorly designed. Hopefully they go back to the drawing board.

Other Thoughts: I'd return it if I could, but it's out of the packaging.

5 out of 5 eggsGenius Gx Gaming Speakers 2.1

Pros: I bought these cause i was broke and to be honest i was kinda mad at myself for not saving and getting the More expensive ones i had before,UNTIL I Plugged these Bad Boys in, i actually couldn't believe the sound coming from them its crisp and clear sound with pretty good balance of Bass,First test was thru my Pc second test was thru my sound card,I didn't use anything to actually test difference in sound other then my ears but they don't Lie,Without the Sound card there Fantastic,With a Sound card there pretty Amazing for the price, i hear other reviewers saying they got theirs 45.00 and 50.00,well i paid 66.00 and Fill like after listing to them i ow someone some More Money lol, they are that good.I Don't think there's a better sounding Speaker that looks as great these and actually has really Nice load sound for this price,i might be able to say id been happy paying 125.00 for these, but glad they were only 66.00 and i hear you can buy for cheaper and to me that's insane..

Cons: NONE..

Other Thoughts: Buy these Save Some Dough i did and I'm pretty picky about what i listen to,you wont be disappointed at 66.00 or 125.00 or maybe higher ,i mean my old speaker were 2 years old cost 285.00 bucks, I'm listing to better music on 66.00 speakers and i don't believe it ,but my ears don't Lie...

5 out of 5 eggsBest Speakers I've Ever Owned

Pros: From the reviews, I thought that these weren't going to be the very best speakers, but it is the complete opposite. These are the best speakers I have ever had the privilege to own, and they have gotten better since I've received them. No cons here!

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth the buy if you like an in-depth gaming and music experience.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: crisp high notes and even lows, great look, separate bass control

Cons: this isn't really a con because the spec says 58hz, but does not hit super hard low notes, but still impressive

4 out of 5 eggsJust bought my second set, after the first broke!

Pros: Probably the best price for performance, still, after almost two years. Plenty of power; loud enough for most rooms. Good bass, with its own control (I usually play WoT at medium, my son plays BF4 on high bass) Excellent in games, especially the kind with explosions. Very sharp, quality look, especially if you're looking for red highlights.
Quality build, have fun trying to open the control unit.
Headphone jack.

Cons: Got about 18 months from my first set. After several months, sometimes the speaker, first left, then right, would get staticee and I would have to shake them a bit until it worked. This problem was very occasional. Finally, my right speaker gave up the ghost. I opened it up, all looked good. I opened up the main unit and discovered a blown cap on the circuit board (a big yellow drip).
The bright blue power light? meh
In the dark, you can't tell exactly where the volume or bass is set.

Other Thoughts: So I need another speaker set. I went with this brand again because you can't be the price for performance at $50. I also have spare satellites and bass box!
The connections in the satellites are soldered, despite rumors they are tapped. In fact, I didn't see and signs of 'tape' anywhere.
I suspect that I may have not given the control unit enough space to breath, having it wedged in between some books and game cases. There is a heatsink on the mobo and exhaust vents. I'll ensure those aren't blocked this time.
