5 out of 5 eggsSweet Setup

Pros: Nice sound, good bass, nice style, has a sweet sound control device.

The speakers have cool "jagged" edges. Red accents are cool. Sub woofer looks really cool.

Cons: Sound control device LED is really really BRIGHT. Electric tape will take care of that just fine, so no biggy.

Speakers get finger prints and spots easy.

Wish the sub was bigger, but for the size and price, it puts out really nice bass.

Other Thoughts: Brother came over and he is an audiophile, asked me "how much did that setup cost?" He was surprised to learn that I didn't pay over $100 for them.

Main reason I bought these speakers was because they looked cool and I really wanted a music controller, and everything at this price did not have a good music controller.

4 out of 5 eggsThey work great

Pros: The sound is on par with the 35$ Coby system it is replacing, though cosmetically they look great, and the sound control device, whatever it is called, is a great addition.

Cons: Does not have more output ports. Sound is not all I expected.

Other Thoughts: I would look for a good 40$ system, and it will probably sound the same as this one, though you may not get the sound control/io device.

4 out of 5 eggsThey are alright

Pros: 1. Great features
2. Impressive sound from aluminum cones
3. Bass is not overpowering

Cons: 1. No protection for the satellite cones
2. I want solid black
3. No soldiering used according to review here

Other Thoughts: They are OK, but nothing that blows me away. The features make up for the unimpressive sound out of the box. Are they worth the price? I guess so but I also feel the z313 was a better out-of-the-box experience than these. One I tuned them abit it sounds so much better. Basically you need to select the JAZZ equalizer from your software, then level the bass out to be flat leaving the other ranges at what they are. Then you get some really amazing sound from these.

4 out of 5 eggsGood overall but the bass is bad.

Pros: Beautiful looking
sound is adequate
price is excellent

Cons: The LED light is incredibly bright, but it was a simple fix, i put a piece of electrical tape over it, so i cant complain

Bass sucked horrible compared to the speakers i had, but those were also 3x the price.
-1 egg for the bass, im torn between thinking its my own fault for expecting too much and the thought that given the current day technology they could of done better with it.

Other Thoughts: Looking back i wish i would of invested in speakers with better bass, i didnt think it would matter but it truly does, those low rumbling sounds that u cant hear but feel, i miss those alot.
I knew buying them that they wouldnt be able to produce that low frequency sound, but it still is disappointing.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very good sounding. I'm listening to it right now as I type this and my ears are about to experience the rapture.

Cons: After about a week my sub woofer died. I shook it because I figured a wire had come loose and low and behold, that was indeed what the problem was. I took a utility knife and cute around the fascia and unscrewed the sub speaker and removed it from the box and there the wire was, not connected at all. No soldering was used - they were just twisted to the speaker posts. I glued them onto it and reassembled and back to audio heaven I go!

Other Thoughts: No Soldering used but I'm not a idiot and fixed it myself. Cheap price> You get what you pay for.

4 out of 5 eggsGood speakers, bad worker idea

Pros: Very good sound

Cons: Someone shoving the bass plug (and wire) down the vent hole causing it to get tangled in speaker wires, see other thoughts

Other Thoughts: other then be having to tear the bass apart to fix two broken speaker wires because a worker thought it was good idea to shove the bass plug-in (and wire) into the vent shaft, which then got tangled in the speaker wires during shipping...everything is good >.>

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Sound

Pros: - Fast Setup
- Great sound stage
- Deep bass production
- Relatively good positional audio (in games).
- Dedicated bass dial
- Compact

Cons: - Control box light is a little too bright
- No dedicated trebble dial (not a big deal)
- Glossy Finish (Fingerprints stick to it)

Other Thoughts: I have not tried using the front panel audio jacks built into the sound system as I use a G930 USB headset, so I can't comment on that.

This is a great sound system for the price, especially if you have a dedicated sound card. I primarily listen to Post-Rock, LiquidDNB, classic rock and metal, and it works great across all of these genres.

5 out of 5 eggsGenius SW-G

Pros: Good bass, Good lows/mids/highs, Decent design, and Good price.

Cons: Speakers don't have any protection, but shouldn't be a problem if your not going WWE around your pc. Red might throw off some peoples color scheme?

Other Thoughts: When I plaayed music thru these I was really surprised by the quality (build and sound) I have the bass half way and it's perfect. I was sketched out by the brand since I haven't heard of it before, but I read reviews and decided to pick these up. These should be priced $20+ than what they are. I would definitely recommend and buy again. GET THESE.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet sound from the little guys

Pros: Remarkable clarity from a 'budget' 2.1 setup. The bass/mid/treble balance is consistent at all volume levels without lots of control fiddling. The sub does not suffer from the boominess or distortion found in many kits in this class.

Cons: Some tinniness and buzz in the high end at high volume levels. Max volume isn't all that loud; not surprising given the power rating.

Other Thoughts: It's great to get quality sound without having to hand over your first-born because of some 'name' on the grill. While you won't fill an auditorium (or even a large living room) with sound, you can happily bop to your Pandora mix at the office or engagingly crush your enemies in the gameroom. Kudos to the genuises at Genius!
