4 out of 5 eggsNot too shabby

Pros: For the price I cannot complain - you get what you pay for. It sounds fine on my desk at the office, especially since the bass doesn't penetrate into the warehouse.

Cons: No low end - I mean at all. There is a knob for treble but no knob for bass. I'm not looking for room-thumping sound, just a little low-end to make the music sound normal. Because of this, I have to turn down the treble but then it sounds muffled.

Other Thoughts: Once again, for the price these are ok.

1 out of 5 eggsNot so great.

Pros: Features a head phone jack right in the speaker.

Cons: On removal of a head set or whatever you have plugged into the speaker jack the sound will often get all messed up which then requires several turning off/on just to get the sound back to both speakers at full quality.

Also, there is very little bass.. hard to listen to music when it sounds like one of those $5 radios from a local convenient store.

Other Thoughts: If you just plan on using these speakers for head phones then great, it makes the sound in the head phones much louder then the audio card would allow. But who buys speakers just for head phones?

4 out of 5 eggsSuprisingly good sound

Pros: Good Price
Good Sound.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought these for my wife's PC. They sound pretty good for the price and size. She likes the Aux input on the front of the speaker for her mp3 player.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price

Pros: It has a aux plug so you could plug in your iphone/pod or mp3 player, and a decent size speaker for the price.

Cons: the right speaker came defective but WOW i called newegg and within a minute they sent me a new pair and told me to keep the defective ones. I was stunned and a faithfull buyer from newegg for life.

Other Thoughts: Newegg customer servive is the best!

4 out of 5 eggsMore than meets expectations for price

Pros: Relatively smooth, natural, full sound for size/price. light weight. Altec Lansing!

Cons: No bass boom, of course, but full enough sound for type/style/size. can get a little harsh/high sounding if equalization not used. Short, direct-connect cord to partner speaker is a little frustrating, at times, but great for medium desk and/or laptop setup.

Other Thoughts: As good or better than average, internal TV speakers and certainly better sound than similarly priced, small off brand speakers at Best Buy, Wal-mart, etc... a few of which I have also used. Paid $25, on special, at the Egg.

1 out of 5 eggsWeak

Cons: The speaker die on me after 2 months. one side die on me on the first 1 and half and follow by the other one in 2 weeks.

Other Thoughts: don't buy it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat 2.0 set for the price

Pros: - Clear, crisp sound
- Good for casual music listening and for some games
- Front headphone jack on the speak is handy
- No static, good shielding

Cons: - No bass support whatsoever
- Can be a bit "tinny" if the sound encoding is not perfect quality

Other Thoughts: 4 Stars because it functions VERY well as a cheap speaker set. Does not go "above and beyond" in any function, so no 5 stars. Very good performance for the price, so more than 3 stars.
