Nice, Compact, Great for Basic Audio
- Pros: Compact satellite speakers.
Nice design, fits well with flat panel displays.
Easy controls on satellite speaker for entire system.
Small but powerfull Subwoofer
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: This is a great set of speakers for people who want just basic stereo sound with a small footprint, and good cost to performance ratio.
Loud enough to play music or a movie for the whole room.
Great Speakers
- Pros: Great speakers for the price. I've owned this for over 4 years, and they still sound the same as I bought them. Bought another pair for a friend.
I put this infront of my mouse. I love it when the bass is set to it's highest when you're playing, and when a grenade explodes near you, you feel the air rushing out of it.
- Cons: Argh, they emit a high pitch hum sound. Don't know why but yeah.
- Other Thoughts: I bought some Logitech X-540 5.1 speakers for the same price, I have more space in my room now since I cleaned it.
Underated Great Speakers
- Pros: Crystal clear sound. Rich deep bass, great mid range and nice highs. They won't blow your neighbor away, nor are they the same quality as thousand dollar speakers, but for the price, they are amazing.
Furthermore, they look great and add a classy touch to any modern or contemporary desk. (Can you make a french country desk look good with a flat-screen and speakers?)
- Cons: You can't blow your neighbor away... and they are only 2.1. If you want to hear the guy walking up behind you when you are gaming, you need a 5.1 or 7.1 system. But, if you just want high quality speakers that listen to music on, don't take up much room, and you don't have wires running everywhere... these fit the bill.
- Other Thoughts: After owning these speakers for over a year, and looking for another set as a Christmas present, I noticed that these speakers were only getting 4 stars. In my humble opinion, this vastly underrates the speakers.
At normal volumes, these speakers do not hum (unless there is a grounding problem with your computer... and that isn't the speaker's fault... try a better power supply).
I have owned multiple speaker sets ranging from 2 speakers that come free with a computer (which serve their purpose and have their place... usually when building a system and you just want to make sure the sound works) to a 10-thousand dollar system that sits in my living room. A 7.1 surround sound system that can run kilowatts of power isn't always necessary or desired. For those times, these speaker rock.
