Aazing small system
- Pros: Great clarity, small system is great for people with a small space but want big sound.
- Cons: Always has a buzzing noise but this is because the whole system is sitting too close to the power source and some of the cables are unshielded.
- Other Thoughts: This still gets 5 eggs because the only con I have is sort of my fault for being so limited on space. I actually only paid 30 bucks for these from a big chain of electronic stores because they were on clearance.
Great for the Price
- Pros: Fairly decent detail, sub has plenty of power, great sound quality when not very close to the speakers. Some have stated that they have issues with a buzz or hum, but i suspect this is due to bad connections or cabling as i have not heard any of this even with the volume maxed.
- Cons: This is only picking on some smaller issues. First of all, at lower volumes, the midrange is much too quiet. Once the volume is turned up a bit though, the balance improves significantly. Next, the speakers on the bottom of the satellites are very tinny. It is a good thing they are facing downward. Also, this is very likely the reason they don't sound quite as great when up close.
- Other Thoughts: I don't care to game on these as i prefer the detail and accuracy of headphones, but for movies and music they work very well. They are a bit too directional but that's not a big deal. Some reviews here claim that they are not very loud but i think that is due to source not maxing the system. With any decent sound card such as an x-fi in my case, they get plenty loud
Nice, Compact, Great for Basic Audio
- Pros: Compact satellite speakers.
Nice design, fits well with flat panel displays. Easy controls on satellite speaker for entire system. Small but powerfull Subwoofer
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: This is a great set of speakers for people who want just basic stereo sound with a small footprint, and good cost to performance ratio.
Loud enough to play music or a movie for the whole room.
