3 out of 5 eggsJust ok

Pros: They are cheap. Possibly one of the better 2.1 sets you can find for less than $50.
The sub does what it ought to do, I think it's by far the best part of the set.

Cons: The LED on the main speaker is quite bright.
You have to get to the sub to turn them off.
It's the whole "sub plugs into comp and wall, speaker A which has the controls plugs into sub, and speaker B plugs into speaker A. I find this setup annoying.
The speakers aren't that great. I'm no audiophile, but even I can tell that the subwoofer is far and away a better piece of equipment than the speakers.
The volume control causes static as it moves.
The speakers tip over

Other Thoughts: Honestly, not bad for a dorm setup.

5 out of 5 eggsShould have gotten this sooner

Pros: Works great. The size is very easy to arrange in a cramped work area.

Cons: It is just the right amount of power for what I need in this case, but anyone wanting some loud boom to fill a house might want more.

Other Thoughts: At first shipping seemed high, but the weight and distance this thing traveled really worked out to a good deal.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Sound

Pros: Good sound, even at low levels. Nice Bass good for gaming.

Cons: Not too much. Maybe that the Sub speaker is vulnerable. Instead of being slightly recessed it protrudes from the Bass Cab.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The sound was decent enough. The bass was actually pretty good for a $50 set.

Cons: The speakers don't turn off from the actual speaker knob, you have to flip the switch on the sub.

The speakers are poorly designed; they're front heavy and have a triangular base which translates into any jostle making them fall flat on their face.

And the kicker, They shorted out on me after only 5 months. If they had lasted a year, I would have been OK with that (even though stock dell speakers I mooched from a friend lasted 3 years) and may have given them 4 stars for decent quality but just bad ergonomic design.

These just aren't worth the money. $35 yes, $50 no.

Other Thoughts: I bought these at wally world in a bind. It was either these....or these. I'll just be patient next time and order something quality from newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsForgot

Pros: look down

Cons: forgot to mention you can't turn them off unless you climb under your desk and flip the switch on the base box..at least i don't think you can...I didn't read the instructions...If this is the case these suckers will be on forever

Other Thoughts: shipping is TOOOO high!!!!

New egg has always been fair about S&H charges...what's up with this?????

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Decent sound for 2.1
Went from 5.1 to 2.1 because i just don't need the surround sound...

Cons: seems a little cheapish made but perform well for what they are...

Other Thoughts: Would have liked to try the Bose but for 200 + might as well stick with the 5.1's..My Logitech 5.1's bit the dust..

5 out of 5 eggsBest sound I've ever experienced

Pros: -Relatively Cheap
-Incredible Bass
-Controls on the speakers as opposed to on a separate manual dial
-Can be mounted sideways in front of your computer (pic provided)

Cons: -Honestly, the cords were a little short from the speakers to the subwoofer
-I didn't like the daisy chain from the speakers to each other and then to the subwoofer (worried about wear, damage, and ability to separate the speakers from each other if needed

Other Thoughts: I bought this set expecting to find the same quality as I might've gotten 4-5 years ago: after all, how much has the technology changed? Truthfully, not much... So I dropped $90 on sound with this and my soundcard and couldn't regret it less- it replaced my broken on-board/ front audio with faulty jack detection, and gave me phoenomenal sound. It was worth every penny and it has more options than I ever needed (configuration horizontally)

4 out of 5 eggsgreat buy

Pros: cheap, works great for what i needed it for... i dunno what people complain about the bass, its a 2.1 computer setup, its more than sufficient bass

Cons: none yet, wish there was a remote, but thats not really a con

5 out of 5 eggsCrazy awesome beats

Pros: Unlike the below reviewers, nothing was DOA and after 6 months everything still works great and sounds very good considering the price tag. It can put out some powerful bass. Protip: Mess with the equalizer.

Cons: The rods in the plug from the speakers to the subwoofer are bent because they are flimsy and if it ever pops out, it's a pain to get them re-aligned again.

2 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Nice looking set.

Cons: The subwoofer was DOA right out of the box and the sound out of the two speakers was tinny.

Other Thoughts: Newegg was great about the return.
