2 out of 5 eggsWorked for a while

Pros: Pretty good, crisp sound.

Cons: Not able to get very loud without distorting audio, stopped working slightly after the warranty ran out.

Other Thoughts: I wish manufacturers put more time in to making a product that lasts. These speakers had never fallen and were never knocked over, I barely ever took them above 50% volume due to the distortion, and they stop working shortly after the warranty expires. This will be the last set of creative speakers I buy.

4 out of 5 eggsEcxellent for $price, & not best in general

Pros: My 2nd pair (1st original from 3 years ago, left at former job/coworker). For the price, they're a bargain given good performance vs. physical volume.
Physics dictates a minimum volume of cavity to emit audiowaves of certain frequencies, and CreativeT20's are excellent, all if not "too much" is included (cables, Yadapter). Perfect appearance, though to people of my kind appearance is nowhere as important as performance. Detachable grilles are a nice touch for this cheap price, no obnoxious superbright blue LED's seen on products of the past era, good materials for drivers (woven glass, etc.) though see "Cons" section below.
Only few other choices exist for a portable, good audio performance (& good looking!) Ampified Speakers for your work desktop, computer desk, secondary system besides your main "home/monster sized" audio.

Cons: No Cons for an average person, not exposed to high-end stuff; and don't dare to complain for their price - a mircale manufactured with this reasonable audio/sound.
But since I am SPOILED, & my music taste, education/tech background isn't average, an elitist could blast these as junk :) if they forget the price.
First a minor thing - glossy/"piano" surfaces attract basic consumers, yet for us in a professional world they attract dust/fingertips (static cling), rather than attention; also I'd like DCpower cord to be softer, not that rigid cheapo, don't want LED on PSU (powersupply) and I will remove Blue ring LED on speaker but NEVER follow my thoughts as I've been doing electronics since late 1980's (EE) so most people will end up destroying their speakers.
These are miniscule things, normal people ignore.
Now a more serious thing is me having listened to $1000+ speakers which are also VERY compact. I got Prodipe Pro8 ver2 as one example, not sold in USA (why wouldn't Newegg stock them?), only in Europe (Germany/France, had to pay shipping, EUR conversion!), small studio Monitors, and others. They define BANDWIDTH professional, in a specific cutoff rate in dB, these CreativeT20's for 70 bucks I paid obviously won't go there. WHo decided their bandwidth is 50Hz-20KHz I don't know, but I know Heavy Music (Black/DeathDoom Metal, Symphonic Metal, Power/Speed, Classical, underground Rap) as well as fine Trance-Ambient, or Medieval European Pre-Music (earlier than 17th century) is something I surely can feel severe difference between these & more professional speakers.
This might be a waste of a "CON"'s section because - bottom line, these are NOT cons for a cheap speaker.
I say nothing sounds better than these T20's for a little desktop or computer use for under 100 bucks, +good looks. Just annoyed by dust attraction so will wipe glossy panel with antistatic (don't wipe drivers/grille, etc., will damage!!)

Other Thoughts: As I said I am spoiled by real good adio & my music taste is very Heavy + Esoteric. From Dimmu Borgir to Medieval chants, it's not easy to reproduce on cheap speakers.
Not to be unexpected from a EE Engineer.
NO spell check - sorry for typos, busy, typing in darkness

4 out of 5 eggsSoild 2.0 Set-up on Sale

Pros: Sturdy. Easy set-up. Front panel inputs (Power/Bass/Treble/AUX & Headphone) T20 can get fairly loud overall. Price. Seems like decent build quality. Good for above average gaming sound.

Cons: Even after adjusting the bass within my Asus Xonar DS sound card menu, it's simply too much for my tastes when playing music.

Other Thoughts: After I purchased the T20's for $66.99 w/ free shipping from NG, I found the Bose Companion 2 (last years model Series II Silver grill) @ BJ's for $79.99 this week. I must admit, I like the sound better from the Bose myself. More neutral sounding. Cleaner overall. I sent the T20's down to my parents home in Florida & they like them well enough. The T20's (when on sale) are a fine speaker system overall. Sound is subjective, so take my review with a grain of salt.

5 out of 5 eggsCreative GigaWorks

Pros: Very good sound for such small speakers. Nice looking. Front mounted headphone and aux-in jacks. Good price point.

Cons: Nothing.

Other Thoughts: Great speakers, I was looking for a decent set of stereo speakers to replace an existing set with a subwoofer that failed, these exceeded my expectation and have quite good bass considering the size. Highly recommend.

5 out of 5 eggsGot 2 more. :)

Pros: The speakers are large, feel sturdy, and most important, sound great out of the box. Tested it on everything from Punk Rock to Techno. Was actually extra impressed on Techno as it captured some of the more abstract sounds well and delivered some killer bass.

Cons: I'd like to note these are small complaints, but blind positive reviews are weird.

1. They are large. I meant that in the pro section. If you don't plan on wall-hanging them (No it doesn't come with fixtures for that), or don't have an extra 4x7 (x2) inch of deskspace - this could be bad. My desk is smallish so I have to hide one behind a monitor. That said, Sound is so good that it sounds great still.

2. Some of the cords are a little short for more interesting setups (Wall hangings, very large desks). This is especially true if you have your computer on the left, as all cords connect to the right speaker.

Other Thoughts: If you want high quality sound on a decent budget (These go on sale often, check back!), without having the ridiculous space hog of a added Sub - These will out preform most subs and you won't even miss it.

4 out of 5 eggsWish they were better quality

Pros: They are OK, not the greatest sound but if you want something better than laptop or monitor speakers then these are great as a replacement. MUCH better than low-end speakers but they crackle at higher volume and just seem lacking. Not great for gaming or quality sound but they work and serve their purpose.

My previous system was a klipsch 5.1 set and they were fantastic. If you just need better sound but not AMAZING sound then these are a good set. My neighbors were banging on my walls the first day I got them, I guess the sound carries pretty well lol

I do not regret the purchase. Will upgrade one day.

Headphone jack on the front is a plus.

Easy to install is a plus.

Bass and treble controls are a plus

Aesthetically they are great

Cons: Cracking sounds and distortion at higher volume

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound

Pros: Sound quality is great. Bass and treble controls allow for more than adequate adjustment of sound. These speakers are pretty loud. They look great.

Cons: I switched to these from a 2.1 system. You can tell the subwoofer isn't there, but overall sound is still great. Unless your PC is a main music source that requires the extra bass of a sub, these are great.

Other Thoughts: I decided to migrate from a 2.1 system to a 2.0 system to gain the extra real estate on the ground where the sub was located. If I had to do it over again, I would probably research systems with small footprint subs and good ratings. Not disappointed with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Speakers Ever for 70 Bucks!!!

Pros: Sound quality is exceptional.........all for 70 bucks! With speakers this size without a sub-woofer you would expect a mediocre sound but I was pleasantly surprised. Bang for your buck these have to be the best speakers around.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: None

4 out of 5 eggsLove Them

Pros: I replaced a very old set of 5.1 Altec Lansing speakers that just took up to much space. Theses were Win 95 era speakers.....Anyway, they sound is amazing, plenty of highs, lows and sub. All from 2 speakers.

Cons: OK, here it goes, the bad and I'm stretching it....the knows could be textured instead of smooth so it's easier to adjust the settings.
