It was between these and the Bose Companion 3. Both have similar sound but with GigaWorks you have an option to actually turn off the unit whereas the Bose did not have the function. Cons: Just a little bit more mid range sound would be good. Other Thoughts: There are no perfect computer speakers out there. So if you looking for high end home entertainment sound out of PC speakers good luck. These computer speakers are in the top 3 that I have heard. 6 out of 6 people found this review helpful. Did you? N/A 11/29/2010 4:33:52 PM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 2/5	Rating: 3/5Good but... Pros: If there was half an egg I would give it 3 1/2. 1. Wonderful tight bass. Not that sloppy bass many mistake for a high performance speaker. 2. Volume control has a nice solid quality feel using rubberized material. 3. Compact size. Cons: The mid-high output is from one speaker on both the left/right. I knew that before purchasing but decided to give it a try anyway. For that configuration I would say this is the best I have heard, none the less, there is coloring in the upper mid and low highs. I think these would be excellent speakers if the left/rights were a tweeter/mid-range configuration. If I got these as a gift, I'd keep them. Also, these are a wee bit pricey. $175 - $190.00 would a better price point. Other Thoughts: My focus was for music listening. I ended up taking these back. I purchased these from a retail outlet.
