1 out of 5 eggsInteresting product, but the advertising is inaccurate

Pros: Decent aesthetics. Good construction material quality. Very good bass response in a small set of speakers.

Cons: I hope you love music composed 100% of bass. If you don't avoid these speakers.

Put simply, the mid range and high range frequencies don't effectively get reproduced at all. Listening to rap and metal, it isn't too bad. Normal human conversations, as well as music with anything beyond bass, are nearly garbled by the speakers.

Other Thoughts: The important question is whether I'd buy these speakers again. Nope.

I need to be able to hear mid range for conversations, and these speakers simply don't produce it.

My rating is based upon the quality of the speakers. 3/5 for build quality. 0/5 for sound reproduction. I'm rounding down because these things are simply ineffective as speakers.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Little Speakers

Pros: They good for the money. Great for someone who wants a quality speaker on the inexpensive.

Cons: It's not a high end speaker set but that's not why I bought it. Great value for the money.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent small speaker

Pros: Compact, doesn't take much desk space. Very nicely balanced sound. Bass belies small size.

Cons: Doesn't play real loud, but I didn't expect it to. I took off an egg for that, but almost didn't. It does fine for PC sound purposes. Sounds great streaming high definition TV and 24/96 and 24/192 FLAC audio.

Other Thoughts: If your desk space is limited or you are tired of large cumbersome PC speakers, these might be the answer for you. They certainly were for me

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Speaker with Rich Sound

Pros: Absolutely fantastic sound. They look very stylish and have been very durable for almost a year with zero problem. I use them for music, videos, gaming. I've moved them around to the kitchen when cooking, outside when BBQing and hanging out on the deck. Bass is rich, highs sound great too. There really isn't anything to not like and they are very affordable too. Great product. Would definitely buy again.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsbest for size and price

Pros: incredible volume and bass response, and good fidelity for size
rating is really 4.5 eggs.

Cons: bass response not linear. could use tweeters.
if you have a 26" tv with eq built in, you can attach them to bottom (sideways) of it for great sound!

Other Thoughts: excellent overall. I wanted a specific maximum size for and these were awesome. luckly they were for a TV that has a 5 band eq. it helps greatly.
I cut 100Hz a bit (yes they has too much bass) and cut 3 khz a bit(reduced some harshness). No they don't sound as flat and smooth as the T40's.
the bassflex panel really work amazing on these.

5 out of 5 eggsgood budget speakers

Pros: Compact, AUX input, decent midrange for the size

Cons: the baffles on the back (the bassXport or whatever buzzword creative uses) don't look very durable; be very careful if you're grabbing the speakers to move them around

Other Thoughts: If you're willing to spend $50 on a 2.0 system, you're likely looking for something with a small footprint and are willing to give up some bass response. This is pretty much exactly what you get with the T12 - the frequency response won't blow you away at the low or high end, but they're stylish, have decent volume, and do fine for playing music while you work/cook/etc.

note that using the AUX input mutes the main input (i.e. you can use one or the other, not both at the same time).

2 out of 5 eggsWish I hadn't

Pros: Great speakers.
- Compact
- good sound for the price
- easy as pie to set up.

Cons: Well, Kind of a deal breaker. After setting these speakers up on my desktop, after about a month and a half the left speaker just ups and dies. I tried everything I could but still can't get it fixed. Don't buy theses, others seem to be having a similar problem

Other Thoughts: If you get a pair that works and doesn't malfunction then it's worth, but taking that gamble isn't worth the risk.
Not worth it, Connection problem with the left speaker, and I'm unwilling to take it apart to find out if the problem lies in the actual speaker, or if it's a connection issue in the wire.
Either way. I am disappointed. Not going to buying from Creative again, seeing as how there customer support said they couldn't do anything for me.

5 out of 5 eggsinnovative

Pros: unprecendented volume, especially bass, for given size.
Relatively low distortion.

Cons: Overall (tone) sound is not controlled or balanced well. But this is forgiveable and understandable given what they do and how they do it. If you don't have EQ to use with them you may not be satisfied. But if you do have EQ and know what to do, nothing else can do what these can! (see below)

Other Thoughts: No replacement for a sub, but stand in class of thier own for speakers of thier size! Bass reflex clearly produces tons of bass (It WILL surprise you), but it has resonance and is unfocused. Still these were the best and only solution after trying several others, to attach to an LCD tv that had EQ on the headphone output. I am so impressed by what these can do I wish the idea would be refined. a tweeter would also help. Good for laptop using its EQ. Cant recommend for Ipod since its
EQ are only presets (ignorance!)
