5 out of 5 eggso_O

Pros: Amazing sound quality and loudness for their size. Looks cool. The control pod, volume, and bass control work great. Can actually go pretty darn loud.

Cons: The sub is a little big, gets a little annoying under my desk. When the speakers are off, there is a slight hushing noise, like, almost static, but not.

Other Thoughts: I wish I had these in 7.1. ^^ Oh, and Newegg pwns! <3

5 out of 5 eggsBest Computer Speakers

Pros: Great sound quality, good interface and controls.

Cons: The whole setup is pretty large, and there are no options for removing the satellite speakers from their stand.

Other Thoughts: If your subwoofer suddenly stops working, check the fuse.

4 out of 5 eggsSome good, ALOT OF BAD

Pros: The system sounds excellent and is very clear and clean. The control pod is a plus as it has rca outputs, bass knob, and volume knob. The bass is very punchy and you really do feel it in your chest. The sattelites are a pretty nice design, nice pivot rotational stands.

The clarity is what you would expect from klipsch.

Cons: The most irriatating issue with this 2.1 is the constant loud hiss noise produced by the sattelites. As i have read other reviews and scoured the klipsch site itself, the hiss noise is produced by an unadjustable gain set in the sattelites so that they can go louder, some garbage along those lines. This makes sense. Unfortunately, there is no fix for this, i received a second set of speakers from klipsch and it didnt fix the problem one bit. They say its supposed to make that hiss noise, but im sorry, when its quiet and my tower makes alot of noise and i talk to people i can still here it, for shame klipsch, for shame.

the his noise is also prevelent while the volume knob is switch to off, it only goes away when you hit the power button on the amp disconnecting power to the whole system. The issue doesnt lie within the amp because the hiss noise isnt produced via the sub and i have connected the sats to two seperate receivers, both presented the hiss of doom!

Other Thoughts: Comparable to BOSE companion 3, but two different balls games of sound. I think the bass is much better on the klipsch, but the hiss noise turns me off. The bose sat's have a softer sound to them which was really nice, but the lil sub bolsters too much sloppy bass in comparison to the klipsch sub.

Hiss noise not heard at a decent volume, so yeah, keep something playing at all times i suppose.

The price is rediculous, not worth the 170, worth the 140 if you can deal with the hiss noise.

The hiss noise is a common review about these speakers, and is very prevelent. If you have any doubts i wouldnt purchase this product but rather its counterpart system, which is the one i wish i had purchased.

As a side note, speakers arent supposed to produce any noise while powered excpet for THD if anything at all which is negligable, especially in high class equipment.

4 out of 5 eggsBlah

Pros: At high volumes, this set-up is amazing!

Cons: Advertised on Klipsch website for $149.99, $30 cheaper than Newegg!
After connecting everything, I noticed the left speaker has lower gain. Finally setting everything up to-the-T as per the manual, I was able to minimize the low gains, but it still bugs me. It only occurs in the lower decibal settings. IE - From the off position, as I turn the volume up, the right kicks in first, then maybe another few milimeters of a turn, the left kicks in, and catches up quickly, till they are both even at about 30% control dial volume/max. I don't get it, tested everything, seems to be the sub, wires are fine, going to pick up some gold 4ohm male/stripped wires from the BX anyway.

Other Thoughts: If I knew Newegg was price gouging I would not have bought from them. Without fail, I get a problematic item when I buy stuff over the internet. I just purchesed my 4th complete computer through newegg, and the first 3 were nightmares, with my 3rd having evga RMA woes (4 times!). The speakers are all that have arrived, and they already are giving me a headache with the left/right imbalance.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great sound and it's convienient to have the bass & volume controls where I want them rather than on the speakers or the subwoofer. Multiple inputs let me hook both my PC and my xbox 360 up at the same time.

Cons: Sometimes I wake the wife, these things can get really loud.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 2.1 set

Pros: One of the best pc speaker sets I have ever heard. I use them almost exclusively for music but they're great for the occasional game. What really surprised me was that even the bass reproduction is pretty good.

Cons: Appearance, but that's subjective. They are a little more expensive than a typical pc 2.0 or 2.1 set but if you listen to music while working at your pc at all they are more than worth it.

Other Thoughts: The only pc speaker set I enjoyed more than these are Axiom's Audiobytes(though quite a bit more), but that set is 4x as expensive as this one.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: If you are looking for a setup that will shake the windows this is the one. Anybody who writes a negative comment about these speakers must work for logitech or another computer speaker company. In my opinion these are the best sounding speakers I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.

Cons: WILL WAKE YOUR WIFE UP AT NIGHT! I often get in trouble with the wife when I am buring midnight oil.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a good sounding setup and just simply bought the most expesive speakers that newegg had at the time. I am more that happy with these! :)

5 out of 5 eggsVery Acurate Bass Crisp Highs

Pros: These speakers have very acurate bass for a 2.1 speaker set. The Subwoofer hits very hard if you let it break in properly. That 6.5 Inch sub can pack a punch. The Sub has more acurate bass then my Logitech Z-2300 set. The Highs are crisp with real tweeters. The Mid range is great with a 3 inch midbass driver.

Cons: None i can think of

Other Thoughts: Overall im very pleased with these speakers.Don't hesitate to buy these get them now you won't be disappointed

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: plays loud, sounds good when playing music

Cons: hiss when no music is present is unacceptable but probably attributed to cheap included cables; volume pot on control pod gets dirty quick.

Other Thoughts: We had these on display at a store I worked at. I own the 5.1 version. Overall they are good, but it seems like the volume knob goes south quickly. If anyone has a set of these and the volume knob cracks and goes between channels when turning it up or down, grab some contact cleaner from radio shack and give the pot a good cleaning. It'll be good as new.
