4 out of 5 eggsGreat sound - Mimics Surround.

Pros: Excellent clarity, the speakers put out a nice range of sound and the subwoofer is top notch. The volume knob on the right speaker is very fluid and has excellent fine tuning.

Cons: Weird connectors. The speakers are a bit large. Sound is a bit muddy at lower volumes.

Other Thoughts: A good purchase for the price I paid.

Pros: Fair sound.

Cons: Overpriced, not too loud. My old logitech speakers cost me $30 and sounded better. These are twice the price and no improvement at all.

Other Thoughts: I don't know what other speakers to reccomend but these are overpriced for what they deliver.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Speakers

Pros: Crisp highs, deep bass from the sub (especially for it's size). Sounds from these speakers can be heard throughout my house. Speakers can be VERY loud without distortion. I got these speakers for $33 and I am extremely impressed for their price (and around $70 sounds about how much they should cost)

Cons: I don't enjoy the grey on the speakers, but it is really of little importance. Cords are decently short so don't expect to spread the speakers and sub apart too far, or get some extensions.

Other Thoughts: I would most definitely recommend these speakers to someone looking for loud speakers for their desk or medium sized room.

4 out of 5 eggsHappy Happy Happy

Pros: I picked these up as a minor upgrade to the 313s I was using, as I gave those to my grandaughter to go with the computer I built for her school and light gaming use. They are an upgrade over the 313s...the base is a little deeper and more substantial and to my ear the midrange is stronger as well. I got them for 50 bucks at a brick-and-mortar (sorry newegg...I'm a loyal customer up to a point) and for that kind of money they are well worth it.

Cons: As others have mentioned, I'm not crazy about the volume control on the back of the subwoofer as it sits under my desk. But I don't think I'll be adjusting it all that much so not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure what to say about people who expect to get audiophile equipment for this money. These are a solid set of desktop computer speakers. They do not sound like shoeboxes.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: Sounds good and looks decent.

Cons: It feels a bit cheap and I wish the speakers came covered. Depending on your set up cables might be short but I'm sitting at a normal desk (no hutch or shelves).

4 out of 5 eggsDecent speakers

Pros: -were kinda cheap
-can get really loud and sound quality is great
-sub-woofer is way basser than you would think it would be
-look nice with open speakers

Cons: -The knob for the sub-woofer volume is on the woofer itself which means i have to lean under my desk to adjust
-after using for a couple of weeks a weird buzzing beeping sound has started to happen, it only happens every so often and it pretty quite when it dose but it is defiantly annoying.

4 out of 5 eggsVery short cables

Pros: Sounds fine, looks fine, overall working great so far.

Cons: The cables are very short. I had to buy an extension cord for the power, a DB9 extension cable and a 3.5mm extension cable.

I positioned the subwoofer right under the hole in the upper part of the back of my desk (made to feed cables to under the desk). The power cable will not even reach from ground where the sub was to the hole in upper part of desk and back down to the power strip just below the hole.

The subwoofer connects to the right speaker using a DB9 cable; it would not reach up to the hole and over about 3 feet. The left speaker connects with an RCA plug cable, which is the only one that did reach thanks to the left speaker being almost right over the hole. The right speaker connects to the computer with a 3.5mm stereo plug which was a tad too short to reach across half of the desk.

If you want to position the subwoofer on the ground under your desk you will almost definitely need at least a DB9 extension cable; make sure you DO NOT get a "null modem cable" as this crosses over the wires.

Other Thoughts: The speakers are unprotected and are on both the front and the back. This makes it difficult to move them without accidentally grabbing by one of the speaker holes. Be careful moving them around.

If you position the speakers on their side to be under your monitors then the headphone jack will be facing down.
