5 out of 5 eggsSounds great!

Pros: Decent sound for non gaming. Standard plug that doesn't block any of your additional outlets.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Purchased these to replace a much lower powered Logitech 2.1 system I`ve been using since 2004. I got these "scratch and dent" for an absurdly low price from Newegg via an auction site. The left satellite has a good size scrape on the face, and the subwoofer a nick in the upper right corner. I can live with that for the price. Sound is awesome for moderately loud music listening, blows the set I had away! I`m not going to nit pick the darn thing, this isn't a $500 speaker set, so set your expectations on the price. Worth triple what I paid for it, get a set, you`ll be satisfied.

2 out of 5 eggsDon'y buy refurbished

Pros: Ok for small TV and/or room. Sub-woofer cannot be pushed and needs to be kept below 50%. Vastly better than your TV speakers. I used the RCA connections.

Cons: I understand “scratch and dent” means the item may have cosmetic issues but there are two defects with this product. First, one of the speakers rear cone is damaged. It appears it was pushed in and did not return to its original shape. Second, there is rattling loose piece inside the sub-woofer which is from the rear busted power cord support bracket. The power cord has no support to hold it in place with the sub-woofer therefore is hanging loosely out of the rear.

4 out of 5 eggsReasonable set of speakers

Pros: The system is a true 30 Watt RMS speaker system. Each Satellite speaker is 6 watts RMS and the sub-woofer is 18 watts RMS. You have ample volume and a reasonable amount of bass. I have this connected to my desktop computer in a 14' X 12' room and it sounds very good. The bass coming from the sub-woofer is adjustable so you can increase or decrease the bass coming from the speaker.

The right speaker is equipped with 3.5mm jacks for headphones and an auxiliary input for a MP3 player. There is also a pair of RCA phono inputs on the sub-woofer that will handle optional devices such as a cassette or DVD player letting you use your speakers for numerous other devices besides a computer.

Cons: The sub-woofer has a down facing speaker so you wouldn't want to set the speaker down on carpet. You also have to be careful picking it up or you will put your fingers in the middle of the speaker. The satellite speakers have a speaker facing forward and one facing backward so it is very easy to put your fingers in the back speaker when picking up the speaker. There are no grills on any of the speakers so just be careful or you may damage the speakers.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I like the volume and quality of sound coming from these speakers. I feel like you are getting a lot of value for the money you're paying for these speakers. I wish that the system had grills to protect the speakers because it would be very easy to ruin a speaker without trying very hard. Overall, considering all of the pluses and minuses I do not think that you would be disappointed with this system. I plan on buying two more of them for other computers.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for work but not one I'd have at home.

Pros: Good size, stable sitting on my desk, but small sub (perfect for the office). Gets pretty loud and retains its clarity.

Cons: Bass doesn't come through when you really crank the sound, midrange is a bit heavy and EQ adjustments didn't really help.

Other Thoughts: Great little set of speakers I got for my office. I can't really crank the tunes too loud which is fine because when you do, I found the bass to be a bit lacking and yet the midrange a little too heavy. EQ adjustments on my iPod didn't really help all that much but the sound gets nice and loud, just can't balance it the way I'd like, even with the bass knob on the subwoofer. Totally fine for use in the office as usually I have to be mindful of my peers so it does just fine but not a set I'd have in my home as I would be disappointed when I want to listen to my music the way I'd like.

I got these "refurbished" so they had a discounted price and for a lower price, they're well worth it, but if you're going to buy brand new, I think I'd recommend upgrading to a nicer Logitech set, unless of course it is for a situation where at work, I'm not looking for perfect, I'm looking for adequate.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat sound - Mimics Surround.

Pros: Excellent clarity, the speakers put out a nice range of sound and the subwoofer is top notch. The volume knob on the right speaker is very fluid and has excellent fine tuning.

Cons: Weird connectors. The speakers are a bit large. Sound is a bit muddy at lower volumes.

Other Thoughts: A good purchase for the price I paid.

3 out of 5 eggsEpicSurvivor

Pros: Fair sound.

Cons: Overpriced, not too loud. My old logitech speakers cost me $30 and sounded better. These are twice the price and no improvement at all.

Other Thoughts: I don't know what other speakers to reccomend but these are overpriced for what they deliver.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Speakers

Pros: Crisp highs, deep bass from the sub (especially for it's size). Sounds from these speakers can be heard throughout my house. Speakers can be VERY loud without distortion. I got these speakers for $33 and I am extremely impressed for their price (and around $70 sounds about how much they should cost)

Cons: I don't enjoy the grey on the speakers, but it is really of little importance. Cords are decently short so don't expect to spread the speakers and sub apart too far, or get some extensions.

Other Thoughts: I would most definitely recommend these speakers to someone looking for loud speakers for their desk or medium sized room.
