Pros: Decent bass, decent mids and decent treble. A great budget 2.1 system.

Other Thoughts: A solidly built system with good volume and versatiliy. The remote that is attached to the subwoofer is also very convienient. I have it velcroed to my desk and it is a tremedously useful feature.

High volume is not that loud, even with Windows sound at 100%
On my particular unit, the volume wheel creates static every time it is adjusted, and some wheel positions cause the sound to completely cut out from one or both speakers, causing me to spend time finding a volume setting that works.

Other Thoughts: It's an ok value for the money, but next time I'm spending more for a higher quality sound system. You get what you pay for with audio equipment.

Less than a year and 1 speaker is blown. This is the 2nd time this has happened in two years with Logitech.

I don't listen to them loud either. I usually just play them while setting at my desk.

The failure rate on these speakers is horrible.

Also, the cords are very short for a full sized desk.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't purchase again unless buying for a small laptop desk and even then only if they cut the price in half to make up for the short lifespan.

Other Thoughts: First of all let me preface this by saying I'm a huge fan of logitech products. I have a Z2300 2.1 speaker system in my home office that I've used for over five years and still sounds amazing. But I have to say that I'm dissapointed with the Z313 system. I purchased these speakers to use at work. I was replacing a really cheap AR system whose speakers were actually blown out by my laptop audio output. I didn't want to purchase a powerful system for use in a shared office so I thought these would fit the bill. The AR system (while lacking in performance) had a few convenient features that I had come to appreciate. The volume control came with an auxiliary jack which allowed me to simultaneously use the speakers with my laptop and my desktop computers. The controller also came with a control for the sub-woofer which allowed me to increase (or decrease) the bass response as needed. The Logitech system comes with neither of these features. I was willing to overlook these short comings until I actually heard the speakers. The satellite speakers sound as if the treble is cranked to the max while the bass response was almost non-existent. I though maybe the problem could be corrected by adjusting the EQ settings on my computer but connecting my iPod yielded the same results. It was so bad that I eventually replaced the Logitech sub-woofer with the old AR unit creating sort of a AR/Logitech Frankensystem. Very disappointing.
