5 out of 5 eggsNice speakers

Pros: Newegg has done a great job again with packaging, and of course, the really fast shipping.
The speakers are really awesome, easy to setup, long cables to easy to put at each end of my desk, and they look a bit bigger than what I would imagine with the picture. Now the sound is really awesome. I decided to go with 2 high quality speakers rather than 2 cheap with a subwoofer, and I am not displeased, these 2 have a really nice bass sound. And they can go loud enough for me, since I have close neighbours in my building. Altough I did tried blasting my sound, I havent gone past the half of the max sound, and it was really loud and the sound quality was still superb.

Slick look, 360 degree sound, awesome sound quality.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If you have the money for it, I do recommend them, instead of some cheap ones, for the really nice sound quality.

3 out of 5 eggsIts 'OK'.

Pros: Easy setup, quality, price, warranty and customer service. Headphone jack on speaker.

Cons: Sound. Did not feel it had enough juice, had the volume up to 50% and it wasn't even that loud. THe sound from the headphone jack also was not up to par with previous system I used. I'm no audiophile, but for me to actually notice big differences in sound quality, something is amiss. See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Maybe it was unfair to compare this to my previous K*ips*h Pr0media 2.1, but the sound is extremely lacking (and it wasn't because of the extra Sub). I think it it was fair to compare, because they both cost about the same price too. Needless to say, I returned it after 2 days. Sticking with the other.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound

Pros: These speakers were purchased to stand behind a Tradeshow booth, so they had to be clear but LOUD! No audiophile would gush over these mind you, but they are excellent for the task!

Cons: Like most PC speakers - the cords that connect the two monitors are not long enough. The only connection to my laptop is also the headphone jack.

3 out of 5 eggsVery nice speakers, but not $130 nice

Pros: Good sound for 2.0 setup, fills a room easily. Sleek design, speakers look good with or without the grills. Heavy and solid. Pleasant amber power light.

Cons: No separate bass/treble controls. Sound can be a little muddy. No "thump" to the bass (to be expected). Power cord is a bit short.

Other Thoughts: Although they produce good sound, they're definitely not worth $130. Additionally, the speakers are much bigger than they appear in the pictures.

4 out of 5 eggsneeds decent sound card

Pros: Nice looking and perfect for my purposes.

Cons: No bass/trebble controls; when paired with onboard audio they sound pretty weak.

Other Thoughts: Luckily I have an HT Omega Striker 7.1 sound card paired with this. Now they sound great. No need for a chunky sub-woofer hidden under the desk.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy!

Pros: It seems to me that I read a couple of reviews of these speakers, at Newegg. One customer said he was very happy with the speakers, as am I. Another customer seemed to feel that the speakers aren't loud enough.
I listen to podcasts while working in various rooms of my four room apartment, with my computer and the Z520's in my den. I turn the speakers up to half way, and can hear quite well, regardless of where in the apartment I am.
However, it might depend on the sound source also.

Cons: None that I can think of at the moment.

Other Thoughts: The speakers look really cool, are solid, and have a nice weight to them. I like the additional "pod" outlet jack.
I live in Connecticut, and ordered the speakers from Newegg on a Wednesday. The next morning, I checked to see if I had a tracking number for the UPS shipment, and saw that the speakers had been shipped overnight from Harrisburg Pa, and they were on the truck for that day's delivery. My driver dropped off the package, 15 minutes later! Overnight service at the three day deliver rate. I LOVE Newegg, for their products, free shipping and delivery, and their overall service! I told their reps that, face to face, at a convention hall in New York City, in 2007.
