5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Performance for the Value

Pros: Sounds great, considering the price. No, it's not audiophile quality. No, it's not a 15 inch sub-woofer. Yes, it will completely fill the small to medium sized room with great sounding music, provided you're not trying to shake the pictures off the walls. I can't complain at all.

Cons: Has a huge 6dB+ peak in the frequency response around ~100Hz. Can't knock stars because this is generally the only way to design a ported "sub-woofer" of this size to have any kind of appreciable output. It's understandable and was expected, but it is a con. Best not to have the sub-woofer volume up to high in comparison to the satellites for the best overall sound quality.

Other Thoughts: I would by another, and I have already recommended it to others.

2 out of 5 eggsThese aren't the speakers you're looking for....

Pros: They don't cost very much.

Cons: I didn't have high expectations for these, but still I was disappointed. They may be all right for playing games; I don't know because I didn't get that far. I tried playing five or six songs on them, then packed them back into the box with the intention of selling them so they won't be a total loss. The bass can be turned up quite loud, but the louder it goes, the muddier it gets. The highs are shockingly thin --on a par with laptop speakers. And in between: nothing. Just a big, gaping hole where the mids ought to be. I tried to compensate with the WMP equalizer, but nothing I did could coax a mid-range out of these speakers. If you want to listen to music, steer clear of these.

Other Thoughts: Two eggs because they're so cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsMost satisfactory

Pros: Really clear, sharp sound. Extremely well rounded speaker system. Incredibly low price for the quality of the product.

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: If you are a casual computer user these speakers will be more than enough for you. I am a freelance videographer and use them on my editing machine in my studio and they are perfect for hearing minute differences that I would otherwise miss with other speakers in this price range. I have never heard of CA before I bought these and I will never use any other brand of speakers after my experience with these.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great sound quality for the price. I had one set of these at my work desk, and I liked them so much I bought a second pair to go with my living room setup.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggscan't complain at this price point

Pros: For the price, decent power and sound

Cons: One star off because it does take some manual tweaking with software to get the sound correct. Also, don't expect this to fill your entire home with rich music. This is a budget system so act accordingly.

3 out of 5 eggsSounds Good for the Price

Pros: Sounds good for what you pay. Extremely acceptable. I use it for gaming in a small bedroom.

Cons: The subwoofer blew out after 6-7 months but the plus side is that you are covered by the warranty.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. How can many of you complain about a cheap pair of speakers expecting them to perform like expensive high end speakers?

Cyber Acoustic has great customer service.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little speakers

Pros: This is my third set of these speakers. Great value for the price! Obviously this is a low-end speaker solution, but they sound way better than monitor speakers or other satellites I have had without the small subwoofer. The three together provide the well-rounded sound I'd like to hear from simple desktop speakers. Basically, the sub is just enough to compensate for the limited range of the tweeters and give an overall sound that is not too tinny. I bought the 40-watt model as well, and the bass is far more pleasing and substantial for quiet-to-moderate sound levels. I have moved these speakers several times, and they are durable. All three Cyber Acoustics units I have purchased over the past year have had zero problems. This brand is new to me, and I will certainly buy from them again.

Cons: The bass sound that supplements the tweeters so nicely tends to drop out proportionately at higher volumes. But unless you play these near max volume, it is not an issue. Blasting 9 watt speakers is an oxymoron.

Other Thoughts: Use basic common sense if you expect these speakers to sound like the Polk or Bose speakers on your high-quality receiver. There's no comparison, nor should one expect that level of performance from speakers this size. They do very well what they are designed and priced to do.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: This little speaker system sounds great for it's size and value.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased this to go with a flat screen TV that had analog audio output for better sound. It works great for that purpose.

1 out of 5 eggsBlew within 6 months

Pros: Price

Cons: Don't Buy These!!! Sub woofer stopped working almost immediately but I thought it was because of the location that I wasn't getting base. It wasn't until I moved and set them up again that I noticed there WAS NO BASE. I now own a pair of Bose which were well worth the extra $50 bucks in price.
