1 out of 5 eggsAbsolute JUNK

Pros: They worked.

Cons: Pure junk. If these things are pushing 12 Watts per channel, someone redefined a Watt while we weren't looking. I am absolutely, 100% dissatisfied with the volume and the quality.

I have a 12 year old pair of OEM speakers that can't be pushing more than 2 Watts each, and they blow these pieces of cr4p out of the water.

On top of it, by the time I get an RMA with $3 re-stocking fee plus the super low $15 UPS shipping fee through Newegg, the stupendous "cost savings" will still cost me more than the refund.

I'm stuck eating these pieces of cr4p. I'm so urinated off I'm going to toss then in the trash and save a few bucks.

Other Thoughts: There is nothing I can say that's positive about these pig's ears.

2 out of 5 eggsCrusty Sound

Pros: Low Price

Cons: Bad Quality

Other Thoughts: I bought these for a dirty warehouse type environment, so I wasn't planning on spending much money or having them last long. I've used them 3 times (sitting in the box when not used) since I've bought them 4 months ago, and already there's a buzzy crusty type sound coming out of the right speaker. I've tested a different laptop to make sure it wasn't something other than the speaker, but I get the same results. I guess I get what I pay for. Cheap price...cheap quality.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Speakers

Pros: Good price, great sounding until it broke. These aren't high-end speakers with dials to change, but this is exactly what I was wanting. They are good economical, GREAT sounding speakers perfect for plugging into a laptop to be used as a TV.

Cons: One of the speaker sides stopped working after 7 months of using (no sound coming out) so I tried contacting manufacturer and I just got voicemail. I left a message, but no call back. I contacted newegg and they kindly offered to send out a new replacement since it has a one year warranty that newegg covers.

Other Thoughts: I think it is well worth buying these speakers because A). has a one year warranty, B). Excellent price, C). not high-end but who needs high end for watching TV on a laptop or using for computer-related tasks? It does what it is supposed to do and has surround sound.

3 out of 5 eggsNothing to brag about.

Pros: Sturdy and reliable.

Cons: No tone controls, poor bass, volume knob is small, too tight and difficult to turn (if you have large hands).

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Loud enough to drown out my case fans, which is good. Decent sound quality. Nice and cheap.

Cons: Lack of a bass. The cable to the sound card could be a little bit longer.

Other Thoughts: If you really need speakers and don't have much money to spend on a big system, these are fine for the time being. If you have some extra cash though, use it and get something a little better.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all

Pros: Sound is acceptable connected to a Sansa .mp3 player.

Cons: Bass is a little lacking, but acceptable to me in a small, light-weight and very affordable speaker system.

Other Thoughts: I originally bought these for my pc speakers when money was very tight, upgraded to another Creative Audio 2.1 system and retired these. They sat in a box for over a year until I decided to try them with a portable Sansa .mp3 player. They sound quite well all things considered.

I travel a lot, usually staying in motels. Normally I used the .mp3 player with Sennheiser headphones that cost about 3X the price of these speakers. Now, with the small size and light weight of these speakers I can still enjoy my music without being tied to headphones. They are not too powerful, so maybe I won't get evicted for enjoying my music.
