2 out of 5 eggsEh

Pros: Sound OK if you don't know sound. Missing a good amount of midrange and has way too much base.

Cons: The remote is junk that comes with it. You have to get up to change the volume. The internal screen had fallen off on the inside.

1 out of 5 eggsAlmost DOA

Pros: None

Cons: 2nd day after I hooked these up they started emitting a hum that was louder than the audio. The same sound came out if I muted them, or unplugged the audio source.

Other Thoughts: I bought these while I was on the road so I would have them when I got home. Since it's past the 30 days (45 days) I can't return or replace them. I guess I'm out $100. This is the first time in 9 years I have been disappointed by Newegg's return policy.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Speakers Ever

Pros: None, unless you like farty subs, short cables, and volume controls that reset every time you turn the system off.

Cons: Everything, the sub is awful and sounds massive farts, even with the bass turned all the way down. The volume control is horrible... buttons? The speaker cables are short and hard wired into the back of speakers, a sign of cheapness. Everytime you turn off the system the volume controls reset, and when I had this connected to my TV, changing the volume on my TV would show some weird changes in volume on the speakers. If I turned down the volume, it would turn down the volume twice as much as I could turn it up, meaning that once you turn the TV volume down a bit, you have turn it back up twice as much to get the same volume level...

I will never buy a product from Eagle again, it was a mistake it the first place. Buy something better.

Other Thoughts: Eagle makes electronic garbage.

2 out of 5 eggsSave your money!

Pros: Good sound quality at low volumes. "Very low bass setting"

Cons: Bass quality is terrible if your volume is more than half way and your bass setting is above half way. Any more than half way, the subwoofer will distort very badly and rattle. Remote is pointless as you have to hold it directly in front of the unit and within a couple inches in order for it to work.

Other Thoughts: Put your money toward a better quality unit. Not worth the price in my opinion.

2 out of 5 eggsDon't do it

Pros: Kickin sound

Cons: Poor build quality that will cause component failure

Other Thoughts: Really poor buttons and power filtering which, in an audio system, ultimately lead to a pile of junk...in a short period of time. Spend a little more on something more permanent.

4 out of 5 eggsLittle update

Pros: Still good sounding

price

Cons: noises of items shaking around subwoofer

Other Thoughts: was hearing noises coming out from the inside of the speaker so much that i went and open it up and what i found was 2 things. first this little metal-plastic thingys used to tie up bread bags was on the subwoofer thingamajig so when the magnetic thing on the subwoofer went on u hear it knocking back and forth fast. then there was this different thin wire stapled to the inside of it so when at higher volumes that thing will start making noises. took those 2 things out the noises stop... hmm wonder what was that about.

Had to be carefull this thing is fragile with thin soldering and wire stuff.

also comparing these speakers to my dad's logitech Z623 i think they both sound fine. these speakers sound a bit nicer at lower volumes i think. but the logitech at higher volumes delivers chest pounding beats that i have not felt on these speakers :(

5 out of 5 eggsEpic

Pros: The bass is super smooth, and the satellites are crisp and clear.

Cons: The wires are a bit short, and the speakers are EXTREMELY directional based so sometimes it sounds like you dont hear anything out of one satellites, but if just placed awkwardly.

Other Thoughts: I have it all 5 eggs because of the awesome sound quality vs price. You cant beat these speakers for the price.

3 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality control!

Pros: These speakers are very powerful and have a super powerful sub woofer. They have brilliant crystal clear satellite speakers.
The remote control makes setting the bass, mid range, and highs easy.
Better have plenty room for the sub though as it is massive!
If you want a wall shaker 4 gaming I would say these will not let you down.

Cons: The speakers came in defective as one of the satellites had a major defect. Snapped, crackled, and popped, would not play hardly at all.
Also the speaker wires are very short and need to be longer for sure.
They are about 2.5-3 feet long if that and are just not long enough to place the system as needed.

Other Thoughts: I think the quality control where these are made could use some major motivation! There is not reason a clearly non-working defective speaker should ever be allowed to leave an assembly line!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sound is great along with the bass. I'm able to hear things in music and movies that I never heard before.

Cons: Short cables but you can easily replace them. The remote uses the same frequency as the verizon fios STB which interferes with this and changes the volume. The only reason I returned them.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst speakers

Pros: You're excited because you think you're getting goo speaker

Cons: First, the remote doesn't work unless you're an inch away from the receiver. This was why I paid the extra few bucks for these speakers, but I've never been able to use it.

Second, a lot of the time one both the speakers won't work. Man is this frustrating if you're a gamer.

Third, the sound is bad. The bass is bad. I had a set of Logitech speaker for 4-5 years that I replaced with these, and now only a year later I'm already looking for a replacement. I'm actually considering getting the same old logitechs because they were so solid

Other Thoughts: DON'T BUY THESE SPEAKERS!
