2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does as it needs to, requires a bit of positioning, I had no noticable static in my device

Cons: It's poorly weighted, despite it being adjustable it has a tendancy to fall over.

Other Thoughts: I needed this because the microphone on my headset was starting to go, but it seems that with how cumbersome this thing is to position I may just continue with the garbled static on my headset.

3 out of 5 eggsSomewhat limited

Pros: Very cheap, pretty nice looking, has a suitably long cord. The physical on/off button is nice. Picks up sound very well once you can find the boost in your audio control panel.

Cons: Not great at picking up sound when you first plug it in. Before I boosted in in control panel, I had to hold the mic about 4 inches from my face to get good sound.

Like another review said, it's not exactly stable once you tilt the stem of the mic past about 45 degrees. Double-sided tape maybe?

Other Thoughts: For the price, it's a good device, though if you don't know much about using your computer, or expect it to work properly immediately without any fiddling, you'll be disappointed

4 out of 5 eggsAcceptable for the cost

Pros: Stylish. Voice sounds fine. Picks up at a decent volume from about a foot away. Cord plenty long. Able to support its own weight when angled, though it's close -- has to be exactly flat or it'll tip. Not a problem on a half-neat desk.

Cons: Some static/fuzz in the background (not overwhelming). Mic boost has a lot to do with that. On/Off button adds a harsh pop and whine for about two seconds after switching. A bit fragile, but no damages so far.

Other Thoughts: Using with on-board sound, which allows me to play around with up to a 30dB boost. Both my headset (much better quality) and this mic are pretty quiet at 100 Volume, +0dB so I have to bump them up using boost for most applications. I have used it mostly for gaming -- no Vent, TeamSpeak, Skype, or "other" yet. Gives me an input option when using my stereo speakers for output. Got a cheap sound card for the optical output; the Mic In on the card barely functions, so bear in mind you can use onboard and a sound card concurrently if you're having trouble with your microphone.
