1 out of 5 eggsErr

Pros: There cheap? and sound can come threw them.

Cons: These things.....the wires are to short the sound is bad.it claiming it does 50w is just crazy.i think my headset sounds better then these things.i have had them for less then a week and they started crackling.

Other Thoughts: There are decent for 20 bucks.Don't expect something fantastic out of them.

2 out of 5 eggsReceived as a gift

Pros: They worked....

Cons: but not for long. Cables are short. Bass is non existant. Quietest 50W ever

Other Thoughts: I received these as a git and they didn't last 3 months. The sound was ok. The connection from speakers to sub was scratchy and the bass barely noticeable. The cords are short and barely reach from desk to sub on the floor.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The only pro here was that the 2 small speakers were a nice substitute for my blown speaker...for about a month.

Cons: The bass is almost nonexistent. I was extremely disappointed with the bass and immediately unplugged it and replaced with my old bass, which fortunately was still fine. One of the speakers have cut out entirely within a month. no crackling or distortion; it just stopped working suddenly. It did not fall or take any bumps.

Other Thoughts: I am very upset with this product. It was a complete failure and disappointment.

4 out of 5 eggsBang for the buck

Pros: Sound quality for the price. Magnetically shielded.

Cons: The cable management/design are off the mark. The sub woofer serves as the hub that receives the signal and powers everything. The speaker lead is very, very short. It is barely able to reach around my two 22' monitors with them plugged into the sub directly behind.

Other Thoughts: The bass response is good for its size. Mid to high bass sounds nice enough. Don't expect low to wow you.
Good luck setting it up anywhere but on your desktop, due to the cable length.
Still sounds better than the stock sound bars i had before and at this price its hard to expect much more.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat until...

Pros: Good sound and appearance.

Cons: One of the two smaller speakers has busted making nothing but a low buzz. Didn't even get a year out of them. Do not buy.

Other Thoughts: I want a replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsgood quality, occasional buzzing with certain volumes & bass

Pros: Price, bass, appearance, volume

Cons: occasional buzzing

Other Thoughts: The speaker set will occasionally buzz, usually at higher volumes & higher bass settings. It may be a defect with the speaker itself. If I place slight pressure on it with my finger the buzzing stops. However, it can me interference, a poor quality low pass & high pass filter in the circuit, or possibly something else, so I'll withhold absolute judgement untill I sort it all out. They're high quality speakers and the sound is close to perfection whenever the occasional buzzing is not present.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, provide sound.

Cons: Very tinny sound, low bass, distorts mids.

Other Thoughts: I know its a 17 dollar set of speakers, but I still have a 45 dollar logitech 5.1 system pushing out the sound that is over 8 years old. The low quality noise these things put out is passable if you have a decent built in equalizer in you OS to tweak it. Still loses a lot on the mids, and the sub is very weak.

If you need speakers for a computer, they're better than nothing, and quite inexpensive.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price!

Pros: These speakers are:
-Loud.
-Subwoofer hits hard and low.
-The smaller speakers hit pretty good highs and mids.
-They look really good and have a glossy black finish to them.
-They don't feel or look cheap, the cords look sturdy.
-You can control the sub and overall volume with knobs in the back. There is also an on and off switch for when your not using it.
-Good price!

Cons: The cord connecting left speaker to right speaker is a bit short. You have to split them apart to take them further.

Other Thoughts: If the cords were a little thicker and longer, this would be a great buy!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!

Pros: Well, they work. For being so cheap, I thought "well, okay.. probably 1 in 5 are RMA'd, etc." Nope. Most of the cheap speaker sets on here are actually cheap junk. Go figure, huh?

1) The cords are a bit short, but if in a close environment like a computer desk, should suffice. No need to deduct an egg for this, albeit kinda meh.

2) The bass/volume nobs are a nice touch, reminds me of the older 5.1 home theater in a box sets. Crank those babies up and control the volume with your computer/ipod/whatever. :)

3) I have a dv6-6135dx laptop with Beats Audio -- I wouldn't have it any other way. The equalizing on the Beats Audio is braindead easy, so its great tuning it to sound amazing with these speakers. The sound is rich and spacious.

4) The satellite speakers actually produce good highs, lows, they do decent on mids.

Overall, this set is great. I am kind of picky with my sound, so I just adjust the equalizer and these babies chirp a sweet tune everytime. :)

Cons: I guess just the short cord from the satellite speakers to the woofer, but like I said, if you're using it for a bookshelf unit to make an ipod sound better or for a pc/laptop, no problem.

Other Thoughts: Worth the money. Thinking about buying a few more sets for my dads computer and lil' bros laptop. (:
