5 out of 5 eggsBest for $20.00

Pros: Very solid sound. Trebles are strong, highs are bright but not overwhelming, the volume you can get out of these is phenomenal; very loud when you want them to be. USB power means no taking up a wall outletoutlet, but getting good sound quality because there's an external source of power for the drivers.

Cons: The cords are rubber sleevedsleeved, so constant moving around could easily result in fraying. But kept stationary (like they're supposed to be kept) this won't be an issue, so no eggs taking off.

Other Thoughts: We got a pair of these speakers for free with a new Dell desktop we got 4 years ago on a black Friday deal. Four years of amazing sound out of some dingy core2duo rig running a generic mobo and no sound card. I see some complaints that it lacks bass, and I can't understand where they're coming from. Possibly the same people that buy Beats because of the whompey, muddy bass that ruins music? For the $20 you pay for these, there is nothing better. Unless you get them for free like I did.

1 out of 5 eggsDull

Pros: The cord length is decent for placing on opposite sides of dual monitors.

Cons: Horrible sound quality, even for cheap speakers (taking price into consideration). There are other speakers in the price range from Logitech and Creative that sound much better. No bass response, hardly any treble, nothing but muffled mid range. Maybe these would work for playing flash video games, or watching Youtube, but just awful for music. No tone control.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat speakers

Pros: USB-powered (no need to use up an outlet)

Cons: Volume control on top of speaker (not a very big issue, but would prefer to have dial on top of front)

5 out of 5 eggsGood for Low Tech User

Pros: Looks better than most inexpensive speakers. This is more important to my user than sound quality. Good selection for non-audiophiles.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: USB powered, but still uses the green mini jack for sound.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome little Speakers

Pros: portable, USB powered, Loud for their size.

USB and headphone jack are separate

Cons: little bass, but don't expect much.

Not meant to be portable, but they function great as portable speakers or quiet desktop speakers for music or tv.

Other Thoughts: I use these with my TF101 android tablet. Watching movies with that and these speakers is pretty good for on the go when you have some time to kill.

Cables could be just a little bit longer, but they are about two to three feet long, so they are fine.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent for Basic Needs

Pros: -They work for basic needs: Office work, Just hearing things, and music if you don't expect great bass.

-The volume control is unique in my opinion and easy to use. Just a wheel on the top.

-They get louder than you might think from their size, although I'm no speaker expert.

-Don't take up much space, except for the cords. (See other thoughts.)

Cons: -Sound quality is average. Very little bass.

-When at full volume, the quality is terrible. I normally don't go past half volume, which is still pretty decent.

-Not fully USB. It might just be mine, but it has two cords. One for USB, one for headphone jack. (See other thoughts.)

Other Thoughts: I have a pair of these speakers that a friend gave me a couple months ago. I can't guarantee that they are the same exact model because I have no documentation on it. The pictures, however, make them identical. Now the ones I have have two wires. The two speakers are connected by a cable, then from one of those speakers, a cord that plugs into a USB powers it, and the sound comes through by a headphone jack. The details say it is fully USB, so I don't know why that is.
